This "trailer" for Moonlight Drawn by Clouds always lifts my mood when I watch it:
My Inexact Rating System
First of all, a couple things to keep in mind: I tend to rate things in terms of stars, like 3 stars, 3 1/2 stars, 4 stars, and so on, so I don't use the half number ratings (6.5, 7.5, etc.). The second thing is that my ratings may be an unspecified blend of how much I like something and how good I think it actually is, which are not always the same thing. Sometimes I enjoy something stupid, and sometimes something I can tell is high quality just doesn’t connect with me.
With that out of the way, a general guide to my ratings:
10-8: varying levels of “really dang good.”
7-6: varying levels of “generally pretty good.”
5: mediocre.
4-3: generally didn’t like it, but may've had some redeeming aspects.
2-1: why did I waste my time on this garbage? (And also in the case of 1, why can’t I rate things with negative numbers?)
