Quick watch

I found this series to be so cute.
After having watched heavy series with hourlong episodes I saw a recommendation of this web series on Tik tok and decided to give it a shot, I don’t regret it.

I ended up finishing it in a night.
I have to praise the actors on the chemistry as well as their acting ability. It wasn’t cringy, which it can sometimes be when it comes to idol actors. Although I’m not really a fan of love triangles (it was in the tags so I’m not gonna mark this as a spoiler) I didn’t find this unbearable to watch.
I recommend however I wouldn’t rewatch it since it’s just not the same as watching it for the first time.

Wow, just wow

I feel like I have to write a review on this piece of art. This series allowed me to once again fall in love with k-dramas.

STORY -
I loved this unique concept where they didn’t shy away from topics such as mental health and diagnoses and since these topics are, still, somewhat taboo in Korea - it was even more unique. I watched one episode and I was hooked, this is one of the few k-dramas where I didn’t feel the need to skip even a second. There wasn’t one scene where I felt as though it was boring or I felt the need to skip.

ACTING/CAST -
I cannot praise this casting enough!
Seo Yeaji and Kim Soohyun were the perfect leads for this k-drama, their chemistry was out of this world and I found myself giggling and peeking through my fingers every time some minor thing happened, even their eye contact made me all bubbly. I have yet to find another k-drama that has this sort of impact on me. And man oh man do I love the clothing choices for Seo Yeaji’s character, the whole image just fit her perfectly.
I have to take another moment to really praise Oh Jungse for his outstanding performance. As someone who has been diagnosed with Aspergers (a form of autism) and who has a brother with bigger problems related to autism, I felt as though I could relate to some of the things that were being represented in the series as someone who both has a “light version” of it but also as someone who has a brother who is very similar to the character in the series. For the first time I didn’t feel offended by how a movies/series portrayed the diagnosis. Although autism is very individualistic, I could identify some of the similarities and just uuuugh great acting really!

REWATCH VALUE -
I would really watch this over and over again, and although I’ve rewatched some scenes - I still feel that same magic as the first time I watched it.
Honestly I don’t even need to wish that I could unsee it only to watch it for the first time again, I can just watch it again and it feels the same as the first time.

I would really recommend.

Cute and quick watch

I ended up binging this series in an evening, oops.

The storyline was really unique and I ended up watching it after seeing a recommendation on tiktok.
Kim Doyeon is one of my many girl crushes in kpop so I have to admit that I am a little biased when it comes to the rating of the cast.
I’m not gonna add a spoiler since it’s stated in the tags but I’m reeeeeally not a fan of love triangles, which I didn’t really look up before watching this series. So I wouldn’t really recommend if you find love triangles unbearable to watch but otherwise it’s really worthwhile with cute friendships and just a cute overall vibe.
However I wouldn’t rewatch it since I don’t think the magic is there the second time.

Slight spoiler warnings.

This was a really interesting k-drama to watch.

While I am a big fan of the storyline including lawyers and prosecutors and just overall getting insight on how the whole legal system works in Korea, I think the storyline was unnecessarily drawn out. The whole drama could’ve probably been concluded in 16 one hour episodes instead of 40 30 minute ones.

Without giving away the identity of the killer, I have to say this drama does an excellent job of making you sympathize with the character. I haven’t been this invested in a bad guy in soo long it was really refreshing.

Overall I would give this a relatively high rating however the length and considering the fact that the main lead sometimes got on my nerves lol, the overall rating is lowered a bit.
I wouldn’t rewatch but I would recommend it to those looking for a series including legal elements.

I have read a lot of criticism against this drama, and I suppose that is because of the hype leading up to the release. And so I wanted to focus on the praise I have for this drama.

This was the drama that ultimately caused me to go back to watching k-dramas, I have to admit I’m a sucker for these Wattpad-story-like plots where there is a bad boy who ultimately falls in love with the good girl. Joy is one of my biggest girl crushes so I couldn’t be happier with the casting. I had read the synopsis and so I had some expectations since it was a storyline I was heavily invested in, yet I ended up feeling content with how they decided to pull it off - although throughout the drama I sometimes had to skip forward out of frustration. Despite all this I enjoyed watching it, however it’s not something I would consider rewatching again since the effect is only really there the first time.
