I have a soft spot for dramas before 2005 because the humor seems campier (unless it's a makjang), the drama more outlandish (makjang again), and the acting even more over the top than a lot of recent dramas; it's everything I love haha. Also, the airport scenes with Lee Da Hae are the BEST. :D

Because I knew this was about a dating agency but nothing else my mouth was open a lot during the first Epi going... 'What's going on??' Just because it's so funny and so out there. I was pleasantly surprised.
And Sooyoung... I loved her! I really didn't know what to expect because I hadn't seen her in anything previously except a GG MV. She was naively cute, charming, and the fact that she believed in her client with a passion won her major points. I can't wait to see her in the coming Epi's.
Overall, a great first Epi:)
A.N.: Also, I really loved the way the drama is filmed and cut, it feels more like a movie than a drama.

I actually like that Yi Ru is completely focused on her work right now. I would hope I would have the same reaction in her situation. She doesn't want to deal with the personal until the job is done and even then she's wary because of his treatment of her. It's one of the first times I've seen a leading lady (in a T-drama) not fall back in love with the guy right away after an apology (or what looks like an apology in some dramas...). She has her priorities straight at the moment (despite her meddling father...).
Qi Ming and Ms. Doctor at the club...
Were we watching the same girl dance...? Because his compliment towards her went right over my head...
And everyone else... I'm kind of not interested right now. I'd like the story to pick up though... Even just a 'smidgen.' It's kind of painful to watch Shi De head over heels while Yi Ru is only thinking about work (which I like, but his character isn't doing anything but running up his phone bill texting and calling Yi Ru during work hours... For non-work-related things). It's just kind of... mellooooooow (I'm trying to be nice in my word-choice here). But, we'll see. Next Epi!
A.N.: The guinea pig was cute though...

The kiss... I'm not even going there.

I really wasn't expecting that ending. I couldn't stop laughing, but I felt like it came out of nowhere. Dating each other is one thing, living together... And where would they live??
I'm happy Jung Won finally found out about the cancer. Now that it's been revealed I feel like they're all on a more level playing field emotionally (kind of).
(That nurse is just not amused by their shenanigans. She's so dry lol. I love her and the doctor.)

We were also able to see a glimpse into the past with PP filled flashbacks. Na Ri was a full on stalker. This wasn't a crush, this was an obsession. Hwa Shin finally confronts her after being teased by their co-workers. But he was no better, he was a complete douche. He repeatedly said she was annoying but secretly fed off the attention.
I like their characters (HS & NR) so much more now (in the present) that they've grown a bit emotionally. Na Ri still likes Hwa Shin, but she's decided to move on after 3 years of zilch. She's talked herself into believing that friendship is all they'll ever have.
(Live octopuses freak me out, but Na Ri makes it look like so much fun to squat in the mud and dig for tentacles... Or maybe I'm the only one who dreams of mudflats whenever they appear in K-dramas lol.)

Then we have our kid rebel Hwa Shin, ready to put his big boy pants on. The radiation treatments have definitely gone to his head, there's no way he would turn on his forever friend. He gave Na Ri up last episode for that very reason, his desperation is not attractive when he turns on a friend. Though I knew they'd come head to head eventually... I didn't think it would be an all out brawl. I expected more self-reflection and denial for awhile.
(And finally! I've been waiting for the voice phishing line to come back. Though not as funny as I thought it would be...).

I've never been a fan of jealousy used as a plot device, but it is the name of the drama. I was ridiculously excited the article about Jung Won's engagement was going to come out; I needed him to make a decision. All of this playing footsie under the table, "No it's not cheating," "Yes, I think I am cheating," was driving me up a wall. If for no reason than it continues to pull Na Ri further and further away from Hwa Shin. I'm also excited to see a shake up in the station this news brings. Those weather girls are dangerously catty.
And this was the episode I got a little second lead syndrome tugging at my heart. (I'm curious to see how Hwa Shin will continue to squash his feelings for Na Ri. Hopefully not by becoming a bully... again.)
I didn't realize this was 24 episodes when I started... So we still have a lot of self-discovery and couple shuffling to do.

Falling off the bed, every lie that came so easily out of Yoo Rin's mouth, the flat-line scene... I was actually surprised when he 'died' and then I was wondering why the monitor was still beeping... And then Yoo Rin says 'excuse me' and I couldn't stop laughing. :P
I've actually liked Park Si Yeon since Innocent Man because I thought her acting was superb, but a lot of people complained about her here. I don't think her acting is bad at all, it's her character that makes me sigh.

It wasn't a bad Epi, quite the opposite. I loved the progression, but it was filled with things I expect from a T-drama... but more, if that makes sense?
The kidnapping scene... I don't even know what to say about it. The gangster who was more playground bully than mafia, the fight scenes, the loose rope around her wrists... The shining light in that scene was George Hu's face haha.
Her wardrobe... I know everyone hates it and I'm not a huge fan myself but it doesn't take anything away from Annie's acting or her chemistry with George so I'm all good.
And I loved how mature Xiao Shu was this Epi. She surprised me in how rational she was in accepting Zhou Zhen's father and the truth about the lost advertisements. Major props! Especially because Zhou Zhen's father still let's his pride get in the way. He didn't apologize but she graciously said she was in the wrong (Even though it's free speech and a tiny little radio station and he kinda showed his true colors by using his connections to run her out of her own company... end rant).
I'm still waiting for the ex-girlfriend to come back and kick up dirt. I'm sure she had a different reason as to why she broke up with him than because of his Gangster father. But I don't know... I keep waiting for the drama to hit the fan but I'm wearing myself out trying to brace for it when maybe it's just a nice, boy meets girl, fall in love, face the world and live happily ever after? I would be totally cool with that.
Also, Xiao Shu staying in the hospital with Zhou Zhen was so sweet! Especially when she found out all that he did for her and then he woke up with her hand around his. I love this couple. Next Epi!

Moo Jin's reaction to the girl who accidentally whacked him with her purse and his studied glances at Byung Hoon and Min Young whenever they're at odds; Ah Rang being revealed to be in high school and his steady dedication to his craft (acting); Seung Pyo's relationship with Byung Hoon - He's always popping up on their Ops but Byung Hoon says nothing; Byung Hoon's history at the school which Seung Pyo seems to know about or was involved in; and how Byung Hoon received his name.
The interaction between Byung Hoon and Min Young has progressed a bit... I mean hitting a guy with your purse that hard and then pouting screams familiarity (I'm being serious. That was my favorite scene haha).
And of course, Taemin was in this Epi haha. But I was kind of with Se Kyung, Ah Rang's character is more appealing to me right now:)

I'm always so confused about what I'm watching. One minute it's a Romantic Comedy with a cute but ditzy protag, the next it's a Mystery/Suspense with a chef who is creepily stalker-ish... (I'm getting a Clark Kent vibe from the glasses but I doubt he's saving pedestrians in blue tights by night...)
Then it's Action and suddenly it's about a Director trying to recapture his glory days by orchestrating these ridiculously complicated scenarios to snag a love interest for a client (Or help his friends' theater troupe...? JUST read the synopsis but each character has such a huge air of mystery I'm still trying to figure out the actual story).
Seriously, some Hollywood execs should learn how to budget from him; I mean he owes loan sharks but the guy is making a mini-movie every Epi. It's like MADE on MTV.
And this is why I love it. I love all the characters so far except creepy chef who looks like he'll stab you in the back from the front. Totally giving him the evil eye every Epi (I'll probably come to love him later though haha). Min Young is great if a bit idealistic... Okay, she's living in the clouds, but she's coming from the heart and her belief in love and I think she's right.
Turning the Vet into Mr. Trench-coat with a shady background had me laughing so hard. Especially when the librarian fantasizes about him. Ha! On to the next Epi before I ramble more...

And honestly, I'm more interested in the side stories than the main couple. The spark is kind of growing dim for me. Maybe it's because all of a sudden he's all, 'I'm in love and shy,' and she's all, 'I don't know what these feelings are...' I mean, they got married and slept together in the first three Epi's. I understand she's practical and hasn't felt these feelings before. But it kind of feels like I went from college to the kiddie playground. Even though Shi De was acting like a child/jerk before, there was way more spark (I still DO NOT approve of his previous behavior).
A.N.: I forgot to say this in a previous review but even though I like Qi Ming, it bothers me how the father always takes his side. It really grates, especially when he hasn't done anything right. But, I'll ignore it for now. Next Epi!
