O.o

He looked her right in the face... Ta Hwan I love you but... You looked her right in the face! You followed her! You studied her from different angles... and still. "Do you have a brother...??" >_< Sigh. I guess it'll take a awhile for him to grow haha. I can wait. :)

The scene where he yells at the Empress Dowager broke my heart. He wants to have revenge for his father and lead his people and he's got his own ideas about how to do it but everyone keeps pushing him into a corner. I can't wait till he's in a position to finally put his foot down.

Also when Seung Nyang gets reprimanded by the other Palace Maid for forgetting what her actions could mean for the people of Goryeo - so sad, but the Maid was right and I think that was what hurt the most. She didn't want to think about the people of Goryeo anymore, every sacrifice she's made has been for Goryeo. :(

Also, I want more of the King... Seeing him rallying up the troops like he has and their unwavering support is like a shining light throughout those scenes. Also seeing him hit Byung-Soo was so satisfying... >_>

The FEELS...

I'm so disappointed in Kang Woo right now. He gained major points when he decided not to open the envelope... Now he's negative points and will probably think Gong Sil is a con. All because she said Joon Won trusted her and he found the pictures of the necklace and Hee Joo.

The child abuse made me angry. I was with everyone else on Viki who wanted to throw a pitchfork at the mother (I do not condone violence..). She doesn't deserve to be a mother let alone around other human beings.

Yi Ryeong has been growing on me since the filming of that fantastic upscale cooking ware commercial. I should watch that again...

And of course the ending. Oh my goodness I was smiling so big. The lines between Gong Sil and Joo Won this Epi had me smiling the entire Epi. From the beginning when he said he was a man, not concrete (He's not immune to her touch:)) to the end when he said, "Do you really think I'm an air-raid shelter made out of marble?" And then placed HER hand over HIS heart. Aah, the FEELS. I'm SO EXCITED for the next Epi!

A.N.: I love how much of the skinship this Epi was initiated by Joo Won!

The Tears...

This episode was hard to watch. Watching Yoo Jeong struggle and get tormented (even though it was her choice) was heartbreaking. And Do Hoon... any tiny-teensy-itty bit of compassion I may or may not have felt for your wormy self is gone. GONE. Please go jump in a deep pool.

It's funny how the people these characters didn't want to become are what they've become. Do Hoon became a Prosecutor to fight corruption and now he's become another puppet. Min Hyeok didn't want to become his father and now he's a mirror image; using Se Yeon as a foil for his business endeavors.

I'm hoping the prison girls will show up later on to help Yoo Jeong in some way. NOT the TRAITOR who beats up babies... Karma girl, KARMA.

Again, is Min Hyeok really supposed to be Yoo Jeong's love interest because I don't see a ship in sight. They are in the DESERT so someone better start paddling... or digging...? >_>

It Got Better!

I change my mind. This was the best Episode for me so far.

I ship them! It's sailing, it's flying, there are birds singing... And yes, it's because of that last scene, and the funny stair scene when Min Hyeok's trying to avoid her. And because Min Hyeok bothered to show up at the mourning(even if he was creeping).

I like Se Yeon, I really do, well, I did. Now... Hmm... We're really not on the same page girl. Well, we never were, but now I just kinda want to push you... I think you get the picture.

And her now EX-BF just reached new levels of weasel. I didn't think it was possible. That last scene of his desk, (only because I read Ahn Doh I'm assuming)(ETA: It does say Ahn Doh Hoon, I just went back and checked) I'm guessing is his resignation. Which means he took the bait and will be working for K Group. Ah, the irony. And then he leaves Yoo Jeong's dad in the middle of nowhere to DIE. He was making decisions out of cowardice, yes, but now I don't even know what to call him. It's making me angry thinking about him.

Please, can we not have Do Hoon get redemption (He'll probably cry and repent in the end). You (the writers) made an innocent girl pay ten-fold for something she didn't do. Can we not give the weasel a slap on the wrist?

So much crying :(

I was so angry at the Emperor when he tore apart her permission to leave the palace... And THEN he says she'll only be safe from Dang Ki Se by his side and my FEELS... This Ep >_< So much crying! I couldn't help but be warmed by how the Emperor tricked her to eat and laugh.

But Dang Ki Se... So twisted! First he wants to own her like a caged animal... Then he's crying because of her hatred towards him and THEN he orders her killed... >_>

I'm not looking forward to seeing the King's heartbreak. It was hard enough watching the Emperors expression when Seung Nyang called for the King in her fevered sleep.

And I'm finding it harder and harder to dislike Tanasili. She is a product of her environment. That doesn't excuse her behavior but Baek Jin Hee is doing an awesome job.

Also, I'm so glad the King didn't kill Baek Ahn and Tal Tal. We already know Byung Soo lives because he was in the first Ep. :d

So Invested...

SO invested now. (Except in Do Hoons' mother...)

Everyone is saying Yoo Jeong's actions are stupid but her decisions aren't any different than anyone else in love who has sacrificed everything for their partner's dream(or family/spouse-they 'have' been in love for 7 years in her eyes). Her character is someone who takes on everyone's hardships without looking back. It makes her endearing and frustrating.

All of the characters are making decisions out of desperation so they're all rather extreme.

The fact that she was pregnant and had the child leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth... I can only worry that Do Hoon will raise the child, or Min Hyeok will weasel his way in somehow which kind of scares me. I know he lost his love but dude, an eye for an eye... just saying...

Aaand because this is dramaland... I think the only thing Do Hoon and Yoo Jeong are guilty of is lying. I think Min Hyeok's black suit killed her, stuffed her in the 'missing' barrel, and went back when the crash occurred, only to find it was the perfect cover up. I do think Do Hoon crashed into the barrel which may or may not have had Ji Hee inside... OR Black suit removed the barrel because he didn't want there to be probable cause that they hit the barrel and not Ji Hee... I always feel like a conspiracy theorist when watching dramas...

A.N.: Is there really going to be a love story blossoming out of this? Because Min Hyeok is a little crazy at the moment and I worry for Yoo Jeong. I mean, the girl already got beaten up, and now she has a child with coward prosecutor.

Loved It:)

The dream sequence had me squealing! Ah, it was wonderful. It made me want to see Joo Won and Moon Chae Won in another drama together.

And even though her confession was a little... underwhelming? I think it totally fit with the pacing of the drama and Dr. Cha's character.

My only worry now: In Hae! I really don't want anything to happen to her but they keep foreshadowing and it's making me scared.

Si On not wanting to do In Hae's surgery yet, In Hae getting scared for the first time about death, Si On's dream where he saw her in the garden in white, In Hae's sister realizing her sister's demeanor changed after the infection, the 'bad' doctor still wanting to do the surgery because 'he knows best...'

In Hae has been this HUGE 'voice of reason' the entire drama and it just seems kind of ominous that they didn't let the audience know how serious her condition was until her sister's situation popped up. Ah, I just don't want anything to happen to her!

Best Yet

This was probably the best Episode yet for me.

Min Hyeok's revenge has become this morbid obsession to vent his guilt on Yoo Jeong(Thank you Se Yeon for your words of wisdom throughout this Epi). It gives his somewhat purposeless life, meaning.

I don't think Do Hoon loves Yoo Jeong (romantically anymore); if he even did before she went to prison. He loves her but it feels more like a 'responsibility' for all that she's done. She supported him and his parents for 7 years and then she gives up her life to take the fall for him. Then their child 'supposedly' dies... I'm still up in the air about that. Do Hoon's words made it seem like he was alive... And his mothers reaction...

And when Do Hoon latched onto her like an octopus in her room... Awkward to the millionth.

I don't know why but Min Hyeok's stalking was totally on the creeper radar this Epi. Stalking is almost required for most dramas but here they made him seem kinda creepy. Not that stalking in general isn't creepy...

I'm still not shipping Min Hyeok and Yoo Jeong but maybe that's because they really haven't had very many scenes together. He's still a bully so I refuse to ship just yet. But I have hope... Kind of... (I DO want to see them together, don't get me wrong, I just can't ship a relationship with the way he is right now).

I Love It Buuuuuut....

I love the pace because things are happening quickly (I'm guessing because it's only 16 Episodes). The downside is that I feel zero attachment to any of the characters except Yoo Jeong. And that's because they've wrung every emotion out of her in the first hour. OMGoodness I wanted to give her a plane ticket away from everyone in this drama, including her father.

And why must everything be gray? I realize life is gray but just once I'd like a character to be a cold blooded killer and be unlikable. That sounded wrong didn't it...? Oh well!

But great so far! I dislike almost every character, feel almost no sympathy for Min Hyeok since he almost strangled my MC with no repercussions, I'm angry with Do Hoon for even showing interest in Se Yeon, and Do Hoons' mother, I can't even. But also, despite the fact I dislike almost every character, I still want to keep watching to see what happens.

It has a similar feel to Innocent Man, in a good way. I loved that drama and became invested because the characters and their motivations were so complex. You can pull off the gray if you have layers... And so far this drama does.

I sometimes wonder what I'm watching...

I sometimes wonder what I'm watching. So many scenes are ridiculous, but they have this underlying realness that colors every moment. They act out the feelings and thoughts we never express because people would think we were crazy. "Date both of us! As long as I get to see you."

I loved this episode almost as much as the previous one. Na Ri trying to break up with Hwa Shin (even though they weren't dating) was filled with tears of laughter. When the three of them have their fight in the middle of the street, more tears of laughter. (I'm convinced everyone in Korea owns a Khaki colored trench)

And I loved Chef's cameo! Though I wondered about the blind dates too. You were supposed to spend this time repenting lol.

I just don't know what to do with this drama, I love these ridiculous characters.

"Even if it's one percent, who do you like more?"

Who exactly are the drama writers trying to sell??

(I've re-watched this episode twice now. When they pull the scripts, I die every time. :'D Everything about this episode was so much better because of the acting. I wouldn't want to see any other actors paired for the leads. Their chemistry is perfect.)

Who exactly are the drama writers trying to sell?? I finally grow fond of Jung Won and they do this.

That kiss was everything (and so was that helicopter save)... or it would have been, if Na Ri hadn't been cheating and Hwa Shin wasn't backstabbing his best friend.

This is one of the only kisses in a K-drama where they drag out the tension so brilliantly before a kiss. The only drama I can compare it with is cable hit "Secret Love Affair." And yet I was secretly hoping it wouldn't happen yet, while tensions are so high (which is exactly WHY it happened). So many worms have just been set loose. (That hazy camera filter made me think it was a dream tbh :'D)

I'm also worried about the few glimpses of Jung Won's temper we've seen revealed. I really don't want them to turn his character into the bad guy (and not just because his mother could destroy NR & HS.......).

I really loved watching her kill that interview though. She did excellently. Seeing everyone cheer her on when she'd had little to no support before was so heartwarming.

Love Triangles x 3

-Love triangles: 1 - The mothers always fall for the same guy (and wear the same clothes and share the same daughter), 2 - Hwa Shin and Jeong Won always fall for the same girl (and both dress in Jeong Won's brand), and 3 - Chi Yeol and Dae Goo > Pal Gang.

-I find all the excuses Hwa Shin makes for Na Ri being attracted to him are all the reasons *he* likes her. His push and pull is oddly endearing. And though I love Jung Won, the fact that he's engaged, even if he doesn't want to be, is squicky. But Hwa Shin and Na Ri's moments are really sweet.

-And this drama seems like it was dangerous to shoot. The windy window washing, the falls from hospital beds, the mattress adventure to the third floor... And I laugh the entire time. :'D

(Still waiting for the voice phishing plot line to catch up with us... he did say he hadn't used that account in awhile. Maybe it was just a funny insert?)

This first episode was a pleasant surprise.…

This first episode was a pleasant surprise. I wanted something light and funny after a melo marathon. It's laugh out loud hysterical, but I can feel the angst coming, especially with that ending.

I'm a huge fan of GHJ's, but stayed away from this drama because I have a love/hate relationship with JJS's characters. I'm always terribly annoyed at how pushy/bossy/entitled/snobby/critical his characters are in the beginning, until they change. But I forget how charismatic he can be in his likeable moments so I'm looking forward to the coming episodes.

Errm.

Do we label spoilers in Ep reviews? I don't know why that just occurred to me because I've never done it before... >_>

I'm not loving Jang Hyuk's character as much in this... I understand he wants her to fight her own battles, (like every guy in a drama before 2010) but don't leave her alone in a hostile situation.

He could have easily put Spring in the room with Grandpa and stopped the shenanigans before it escalated. No amount of Hyo Jin's cajoling would've stopped those bullies. I understand his character isn't one to step in but at least support the girl you like. Even if you're not going to protect her, (which he could have).

He's not very likeable at the moment tbh. But I'm still wondering why people had a hard time choosing between YWCTS psycho and Jang Hyuk. Unless runaway dad has some extraordinary turnaround in the next 4 Eps...

I'm really enjoying this drama though, I think this Ep just rubbed me the wrong way when he left and ten minutes later her hair was being pulled out and her house trashed O.o And, ya know, he /expected/ that to happen. >_>
