I RETRACT...

I RETRACT my earlier statement about Qi Ming and Yi Qing getting together. I just looked at how old she is. Aah, I can never tell how old characters are just by looking at them. Therefore lets pretend that ship was never built...

I was going to continue watching Love Around but I've got the plot lines all mixed up now. They still have great chemistry in LA though.

I can't tell if Ms. Doctor will be an issue or not in the future. She's starting to have more scenes with Qi Ming than Shi De... Will they become bff's? And Qi Ming just realized, however confused, that he has feelings for Yi Ru. I have no one to ship Qi Ming with so I'm pulling at straws... I see more friendship... but because Ms. Doctor seems so nice she might see Qi Ming as cute. And towards the end of their conversation he totally turned the charm back on that he'd thought he lost.

Shi Yun will definitely end up with Yu Xiang. I think. I mean, he's in the opening montage, current boyfriend with presumably ulterior motives is not.

And Ms. Doctor keeps mentioning Yi Ru whenever with Shi De. Not the way you want to try and snag a guy... Unless she's actually sneaky! Which would give me a reason to dislike her because right now... I got nothing on her. Next Epi!

There was...

There was finally progression! Albeit, not exactly what I wanted but progression nonetheless. Just because he apologized he thinks all is well between them and they can go back to the lovey-dovey FEELS... But I think she's just relieved they're okay now and she can get her job done. She felt something for him back in Baracay but now that she's back to reality she's the same workaholic she was before. And I hope there's more to their history than a borrowed pen... I'm still wary of Ms. Doctor...

Yeah...

Yeah... Shi De, you're not getting off that easily.

And I DO NOT trust Yan Kai. Even though their romance has no spark I'm still slightly invested during their scenes because I want to know what he's hiding.

And the Aunt just gets cuter each Epi. I hope the family doesn't turn into the hating in-laws soon. They're a nice reprieve at the moment.

I don't know...

I don't know how much more of Shi De I can take. I loved him in the beginning despite his noticeable flaws but please... GET OVER IT. Ms. Doctor is right, he's like one of those boys on the playground who pulls the girls pigtail because he likes her. He plays up the facade of a mature, no-nonsense CEO who's really just a hurt little boy.

And this is seriously going the way of AC. When he found out the truth in that drama it changed NOTHING. He was still a major jerk. Shi De is definitely in the negative in love points.

As for the other stories, I don't love them or hate them. They're not particularly fascinating, nor do they move the plot forward but I'm used to this in long dramas so they don't bother me as much as they do others.

Also, as much as I like Qi Ming (I didn't until this epi) I don't see the romantic spark between him and Yi Ru. They just have an amazing friendship and he has a good heart.

Ms. Doctor... All she does is smile coyly. I don't hate her and she did bring up a good point this epi. But I'd still like it if I could remove her out of the coming epi's. She reminds me of every character Xu Tiffany has played and I've disliked every single one. But off screen, I love her. Next Epi!

Hmm... Shi De is still a douche...

Yi Ru is so rational and levelheaded in this Epi. I loved her. Shi De isn't on my happy list right now so I'm not going to even bother...

I know everyone wants the aunt to tell Shi De the truth about the lie but I don't. If she does, he'll reconsider his anger and probably want to be with her again. But then that leaves the two extra back wheels to roll into the story later, interrupting any happiness they would have found. And this is only Epi 10.

So I'm hoping... (to save later heartache) that Shi De will only find out the truth after he's started to develop feelings for Ms. Doctor or maybe not even feelings but maybe he will have proposed to appease his Gran/Mom/Aunt. And then when he decides to drop everything for her it will be too late because Yi Ru will already start to have feelings for her ex again (I don't see love though, just this really close bond). But then she'll realize she's pregnant from the one night stand and they'll drop everything and be together... Although I dislike the pregnant trope, I feel it's inevitable unless it happens later. She just emphasized children so much in the beginning... Unless she isn't preg.(which would make me happy) and then they get married for reals and live HEA. :)

I just don't want him to find out, still be angry and date Ms. Doctor and leave Yi Ru in the dust even with knowing about the misunderstanding. OR his feelings change, he feels sorry, and they get together with Ms. Doctor to interrupt their story later.

I'd rather get the extraneous third wheels out of the way sooner than later. And Yi Qing can have Qi Ming! They're already like an old married couple.

Is he...

Is he three years old? No, three year old's aren't even this petty. He is totally taking an eye for an eye to an entirely childish level. And he's pulling out each lash one by one before he takes the eyeball! I could see this in his character in the beginning but I was hoping he wouldn't be so bad or that his revenge would actually entail revenge, not a game of how hard can he make her work so she fails and owes him money...

Also, the side stories, as much as everyone on Viki seems to hate them... I don't mind them. It was a total surprise to me that Yu Xiang is actually only after revenge. I like the little reveals and for a 72 Epi Taiwanese drama I don't feel the pace is too slow. Although I understand everyone wanting it to focus on the main couple more but especially in family dramas-they tend to focus on everyone.

I'll just repeat it now. I DON'T like the doctor. And her mentor/teacher was pretty much selling her to Shi De's grandmother. I hope this doesn't turn into an AC situation. I wasn't happy with that... Next Epi!

2nd Female HATE...

Why is there a second female lead who JUST showed up? For whatever reason I assumed there wouldn't be one. Well, HOPED. But she popped up like a weed. And she's a doctor! For cancer! And she's beautiful and kind and Shi De smiled at her... And my eyes turned to lasers but it wasn't enough to remove her from the screen.

Yi Ru has enough to deal with (her tumbling stack of mile high lies) without worrying about competition for the love interest who has now decided he wants to turn her into a voodoo doll.

I can't wait until the misunderstandings unravel and the 2nd lead love interests are out of the picture. But, I'm only on 7 out of 72...

Aaah...

And the misunderstandings continue to pile up... I'm so scared to see what the rest of the drama holds. 72 Epi's and I'm only on 6.

I really wasn't expecting Yi Ru to tell Shi De the truth. If she did, there would be no conflict. I'm still disappointed in her decision not to tell him but it is understandable if I put myself in her shoes. She has the livelihoods of her fellow employees on her shoulders, even though they shouldn't even be her responsibility.

The only thing I don't like about Taiwanese dramas is they tend to follow the same plot trend. Drive-thru beginning where they grab the viewer and then 30 episodes of filler conflict where they throw rocks at the main couple, and then a nice conclusion where everyone is forgiven and they all sing kumbaya...

Not that I'm complaining, I still love watching them. The chemistry is definitely keeping my attention. On to the next epi... :)

I'm going to...

I'm going to keep all of my assumptions to myself from now on. I keep questioning everything but the only real mystery is Ho Tae's parentage which kind of spills out into the relationships between everyone else. So if I question anything it better lead back to Ho Tae.

Also, the scene with the chairman visiting Kang San-a's mother's grave looked so much like a no-budget student film, it jarred me from the rest of the epi. And it kind of took away the poignancy and mystery of the scene. Next Epi...

So Many Secrets

Was Kang San an orphan too? When she threw away the shoes that's the first thing that came to mind. But maybe I'm reaching here... Great episode as usual though! Onto the next!

Brothers...?

Hmm, are Ho Tae and Hae Joon maybe brothers...? Aah, probably not.

But I'm loving this drama so far and so many new recipes to try! I love the different sides of each character Eun Bi brings out. She's so cute!

And is the father losing his memory? That scene; (Was it this epi or last epi?) where he can't remember where the exit is at the orphanage made me worry. Excellent so far though, I'm so glad I finally decided to get past the first epi, totally worth it.
