noooo

i read the warnings for the last 2 episodes but still watched them. i know that's dumb but it was worth a little for the second lead couple i really liked them. because the first couple was a bit toxic i mean who falls for a person who blames you and had hit you. it didn't matter much because i have seen worst but i didn't expect anything of this level. I just can't re-watch it's too sad and i have enough reason to cry already.

Hoping for More Depth in This Series

The storyline of this series struck me as a bit awkward. When they returned, the same old relationship problem resurfaced, and the resolution seemed a bit too swift for my liking. The process of dealing with the issue and getting back on track felt somewhat rushed. What caught my attention, or rather, what didn't quite sit right with me, was the FL's character transformation. It appeared simplified, merely by accepting ML's help with her bag at the airport.

In my opinion, this series missed an opportunity to delve into the intricacies of how the characters compromise and evolve to make their relationship work. The focus on these essential aspects could have added depth and authenticity to the storyline. Instead, the series opted for a quicker resolution, and as a result, the ending feels somewhat forced into a happy conclusion. I believe a more detailed exploration of their journey could have given the series a more satisfying and genuine feel.

omg?

one of the most ENTERTAINING things ive watched all year ?? automatically the cast is WAY more interesting than the last two seasons, yes ofc theyre are some boring people but like not as much as season 1 and 2. okay rating the cast!
update after a while: WHY IS EVERYONE IN THE OTHER REVIEWS HATING ON THIS SEASON SO MUCH I GENUINELY LIKED IT WHAT

kim gyuri- her first impression really REALLY rubbed me the wrong way god. when hyeseon complimented her she just kind of half smiled and didnt say anything like what.... (it might be because of the editing or maybe she didnt hear but idk...) so at first i really didnt like that, girly was definitely tryna pull a jia, but after she got rejected (ig even the guys picked up on it) and changed her personality, it became much more bareable to watch her so i appreciate her getting humbled. still super boring tho we dont really see much of her in the later episodes. ep 10 was such a rollercoaster, tell me why she was dissapointed that minwoo 'disobeyed' her and didnt stay put like she told him to, girl does he have to obey you? is he yours? are u not letting this man talk to other girls? i feel so bad for minwoo having to deal with this weird overprotective jealous gyuri staking claim on him like hes some sort of meat uhm...

choi hyeseon- ahhh she seems like a super nice and chill person to be around, i dont have anything bad to say about her nor anything to praise her about, she was just there and i think shed be a really good friend to everyone there. the fact that she was everything gwanhee WASNT interested in (a woman who doesnt approach him first, doesnt fall for his tactics, doesnt give him the satisfaction) and he STILL chose her just proves shes such a girlboss

choi minwoo- he doesnt really talk much so ofc hes kind of a mysterious person but i do think hes super kind but just not that outspoken. tell me why hes the person who talks the least (aside from habin) and still pulls girls oh well

lee jinseok- hes so amazing i love it. u can really tell hes super mature and laidback, not to mention FUNNY god, he can pull jokes out of his ass and make it sound comedic, im was rooting for him and minji, i was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time watching their paradise date (can i just say hes still younger than gwanhee but acts 38574967768476284 times more mature than that man child)

ahn minyoung- oh boy... at first! i really liked her personality she seemed like super duper bubbly and cute but as i continued watching the show, her behaviour was LITTLE icky okay maybe, a lot... she loves the attention she gets from jinseok but whenever someone puts them together or groups the two as together, she gets all pissy, i think shes mentioned she and him have a 'brother-sister' dynamic maybe 357397453 times already. now that jinseok is on a date with the new girl, shes only worried (not even jealous) now that no one will pay her any mind. cos i damn well know, if there was another guy on inferno, shed be cosying up to, she wouldnt give two fucks about what jinseoks up to with minji, im sorry but during the chicken (?) fight you could see her hip pads sticking out (cos her leg was lifted) idk if anyone else saw but it was so obvious ☠︎︎ ☠︎︎

lee gwan hee- DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED i knew he was so grotty from the get go, i just had a gut feeling, something wasnt right, because during the date with hajeong, he kept like idk rambling(?) about what she felt and her feelings and what shes gonna do, idek i couldnt register what was being said it just felt like a blur, but yeah the way he would constantly ask if she liked him was offputting, like do u need a constant confidence boost or something, do u need to boost ur ego every 5 minutes huh AND THEN ep 5 when ha jeong was going off at him was SO GOOD i was so invested and the scene with the girls talking about how gwanhee was treating them YESS i was cheering for all of them behind my screen, update after watching the most recent episodes, hes definitely improved himself and isnt as self centered as before but some of his behaviour and mannerisms really confuse me like i need to know what this man is thinking to pull the shit hes been pulling lately

son wonik- WOAH hes- hes super fine, just had to add it there, okay so not really much to say about him but he just seems like a sweet and soft guy, that date with sieun was so bad ?? the awkward tension dawg get me outta there. i really hoped he would get more screentime but that never happened _(:‚‹」∠)_

yun habin- uhm. no comment. he got really cocky after getting 5 candies so that kinda made me a little weirded out. im sorry he doesnt really get much screentime so no one even knows anything about him, hes just there which is kinda sad
update in the last episodes with his date with hajeong, bro didnt even try to communicate with her he was such a snoozefest i feel so bad for my girl for wasting her last date with this party pooper

yun hajeong- MY QUEEEN she makes the show fun by just being there, her presence is insane. i LOVE the way she talks and how shes so blunt yet flirty, like she has more personality than all the other contestants COMBINED, i dont think shes gonna end up with gwanhee anymore cos he kinda drifted away from her which im kinda salty about

park mingyu- we love a man in uniform. yes yes nothing much to say again, hes super shy and timid compared to his appearance which is a nice contrast, i think hes gonna end up with gyuri but gyuri doesnt seem to be as interested in him as he is with her so idk whats gonna happen. i also love how sweet and caring he is, no matter who hes talking to so i just have to praise him for that. the way he gave minji his shirt to wipe her tears i was cackling but seriously hes so adorable

yu sieun- something about this girl ICKED me the moment she was introduced, also the way jinyoung? dex? (why does everyone just call him dex now all of a sudden) mentioned she looked liked jennie had me rolling cos she literally doesnt in any way i dont know what hes getting at ?? over time shes getting a little more better to watch and i do think her and minwoo will get together! (i just have to say though.... the amount of times she strokes her hair and the way she tilts her head while doing it too infuriates me so much)

cho minji- the new girl! she seemed super sweet from the start and she had MASSIVE chemistry with jinseok and i loved that, i hated how he was just getting dragged around by minyoung (he deserves a happy ending) theyre so cute omg....
update, i can tell minji is super into gwanhee now so ig that isnt happening anymore aw man, also can we talk about her crying every 2 seconds over gwanhee, mind you, she met him like 2 days ago, i wish i was joking. shes gotten a little annoying bro, the way her date with jinseok and gwanhee was her just asking if she looked pretty and shamelessly tryna flirt, and her date with mingkyu was just her ranting to him about gwanhee i felt SO BAD for my man mingkyu there hes basically acting as her therapist atp

final couple predictions!
sieun and minwoo- the timing FINALLY worked out omg i felt so bad they couldnt even talk until the last few days omg
gyuri and mingkyu- they havent really gotten much screentime together, i literally forgot what happened in their date
gwanhee and hyeseon- they were just end game since the beginning! tho i dont like how hes been treating minji so nicely, then giving her the cold shoulder then just suddenly turning to hyeseon like??? maybe its just me
jinseok and minyoung- atp they just have no other choice ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

habin, hajeong, won ik, minji are left over but they deserve so much better, especially my girl hajeong like gwanhee just left her on the sidelines like that, though maybe the date with habin and hajeong might go well and they end up together who knows sigh

GUYS THE SHOW FINISHEDD all the couples were as i expected and i think after the show only minwoo+sieun and gwanhee+hyeseon are still together or at least were together for a little while after shooting ended bro i can just tell gyuri+mingkyu and jinseok+minyoung didnt even last 1 second after. okay wrapping up it was such a rollercoaster with all these interesting(?) people bro i swear my brain was working overtime tryna understand some of these contestants but overall so fun! season 4 should def introduce eliminations and new people cos im sorry half these couples that were a thing, i could tell werent even into their supposed 'partners' and who they said they 'like' they were just doing it cos they had no other option dawg, ALSO idk if u guys know sultry film on youtube shes so brutally honest which makes it funny but yeah she said hajeong should be one of the people in the panel and replace dex which i wholeheartedly agree with JUSTICE FOR HAJEONG

Difficult to say good or bad

I was so hype for this series, first reason is taynew comeback and 2nd it's adaptation of my favourite japnese novel cherry magic... I have already watched japnese version live adaptation and it soon become my favourite bl of all time ... In Thai version it's really difficult to say, bcz sometimes it blew my mind sometimes it looks so cringe I can't help but skipping so many scenes ... In Thai version Karan looks like he fall in love with achi just 1 day ago but in japanese version KUROSAWA looks like he loves adachi for so many years .. there are so many green flags character in BL Industry but we all know why people call Kurosawa green forest bcz his serious and pure thoughts about adachi is what makes his character unique and iconic from other green flag character... But In Thai version Karan looks like he recently fall in love with achi and whenever achi and Karan touch each other and achi reading karan's inner thought that scene looks so fake and weird why the hell people will touch another person for so long while giving weird expression at the same time it's creepy and abnormal behaviour plus Karan looks like pervert which is hungry for sexual desire ....new is doing great job with acting and side characters are good ... But I don't know why they made Thai version fake and cringe

Good but not great

Cute fluffy drama. Good chemistry between the leads and cute sibling relationship between Sang zhi and her brother. The very realistic portrayal of siblings was my favorite part of this drama! Main complaint is ZLS portrayal was too exaggerated. She spoke in such a slow baby voice it felt like she was developmentally delayed. Especially weird because the child that played her younger self was so smart and quick-witted and then suddenly when she grew up, its like she lost some IQ. ZlS portrayal was very cringy at times. The director did an amazing job giving us shots of CZY that felt alot like your dreamy first crush and he certainly acted and looked the part.

Overall the story is cute with good chemistry but the female lead acting too juvenile can be annoying to watch.

Could have been far better!

The story of a dark hero leading a dual life fighting for justice has always been a popular one. Most of us have grown up watching the likes of Batman. Now we are presented with a Korean webtoon adaptation of the dark hero character called Vigilante who fights crime in the shadows and doesn't mind to kill.
But the story doesn't seem much appeasing as the events could be predicted pretty easily from the early parts of the story. The life of the connected characters' and how they ended up where they were at that point in time should've been better flushed out. Instead all we get is just simple brooding MC and his vigilantism activities. But the funny thing is that the MC doesn't even bother covering his face in a well CCTV connected country like South Korea and he gets away with it every time.
Hope the next season, if it happens, have a decent storyline and better flushed out characters.
Here hoping and even with all its faults I have to admit this really was a good one time watch.

Ending explains a lot of faults

Throughout this drama, I saw a lot of theories, a lot of praises and complaints. For me the drama overall, was really fun to watch. It was frustrating, intriguing, and saddening. Before the ending, my main complaints were that there are a lot of plot holes and a lot of rules with the game that didn’t make sense and weren’t well thought out.

I had a lot of confusion with how the mafia rules differed from the citizens and what could or couldn’t have been done. In the beginning, when the first night comes, everybody drops to the floor, including the mafia but later, on in the drama, you see that they aren’t affected by the bell anymore. and you can say that they were affected on the first night bells because it was the first night and I agree that they were just getting into playing the game and understanding the rules of themselves so that’s why everybody fell asleep the first night.

Another plot hole that I noticed was how people could die. Even after watching the drama, the rules to me where 1-mafia could only kill one person per night, and that one person had to be a unanimous agreement. 2-one person would die after the voting that took place during the day, based on a majority vote. 3-you would die if you broke any of the following rules (leaving the area, not voting, killing without agreement) by the end of the drama a lot of what I thought were the rules kind of ended up being forgotten.

In the last two episodes when Jin Da Beom kills Im Eun Chan & Choi Mina I was confused why he hadn’t broken a rule because I thought that you could only kill one person per night and it had to be agreed-upon. Even if the last two mafia agreed to kill everybody, wouldn’t it still break the rules because they killed more than one person. You could say that technically JDB didn’t kill IEC because he died from suffocation with a bag over his head. To me that seems like a grey area where I’m not sure if that’s my lack of understanding the rules or just a polt hole from the writers. There are many more instances in which situations happen that have plot holes or are left with confusion because of the rules that I thought prior. But I think the ending really brings everything together and closes all those plot holes.

The end of the drama is basically that the game that they have been playing is a literal game and it’s a simulation game that they have to play over and over and over again. They’re playing this game because of their classmate Park SeEun’s parents who want to get revenge on their class for the rumor that was spread causing her suicide. The fact that the game that they have been playing is an actual game can explain why things happen that we don’t necessarily understand or can’t find answers to. That’s because in any game that we play they are going to be errors, bugs, messed up codes, etc.. Oh Jung Won is the perfect example as to why everything plays out perfectly. Her character ends up being a programmed character into the game that ends up having some sort of error that allows her to have feelings and emotions, and make conscious decisions. So anything that has happened prior to the ending that seemed weird or confusing can basically be explained by the fact that it is a game it’s a simulation there there might be an error in the code or a bug that needs to be fixed which allows the drama to be imperfect, and have things that we might not understand.

I think this ending really rounded the whole drama into this scary yet intriguing story that can be more messed up than the murders that are going on and can have many of outcomes because of the possibility of an error.

✧I could say a lot more about this drama, but that would take a lot of writing. But if anything about this drama seems interesting to you. I would highly recommend giving it a watch. It can be gruesome at times, but there are parts of the story that are very genuine and heart wrenching.

Excellent!

Excellent drama! Very enjoyable!
The cast was beautiful and acted well all around. The sets, costumes, hair makeup was all beautiful.
The story was interesting and kept me chasing episodes! Chemistry was very good between ML and FL as well as with the SFL and SML.
Bai Lu delivers as always in costume and looks good with Zhang Ling Hei. She has good chemistry with both males. Zhang Ling Hei is good but he his acting can still improve a little bit. He has good screen presence and excellent chemistry with Bai Lu. Wang Xing Yu was excellent as thr SML! I cant believe he is so young.

Overall highly recommend!

It is an ok series, but loss focus very fact.

I was super excited to watch this series as it had a few of my favorite actors. Sadly I found myself disappointed with the storyline, which lacked everything. Most of all it made no sense and was completely unrealistic. The only good part was that the actors all had good chemistry and were cute at times. However, the storyline that is described is not what you see in the movie. I was bored after the 3rd episode. I found myself fast-forwarding up to see if there were more interesting parts. I have to say that a lot of it made no sense and the storline did not flow at all there were way too many missing gaps from beginning to end. I don't understand how many one can give this series anything beyond a 5 and it's only a 5 because of the actors. This story kept turning around at every moment making no sense with who liked who and magically people turning gay and all that bull. I thought it had really good potential in the first 2 episodes and then went downhill completely. The only good that came from it was the 2nd part series in our Skyy which was a 1 episode storyline that was way better about them. This series sadly was horrible.

Massive Potential, Yet Poor Closure

Come on, who doesn't like this type of K-Drama/Series?

The thrills, the tension, the hype every episode - discussing and debating theories, It was everything.
A classic whodunnit.

A Series where everyone is trapped in a kind of mysterious events and they're working together to figure out the truth lies behind. Similar to spirit to the like of AOUAD, DAS, and Alice in Borderland.

The concept of the series is fresh, The Werewolf/Mafia game, the excitement is simple: Citizens vs Mafia, every episode we will be greeted by new things while slowly finding the Mafia and uncovering the truth behind everything.

That's the core concept of the entire series and IT'S PERFECT with the fresh casting, dynamic characters, and every other the potential that it had.
Every watchers was engaged and onboard for the tension and cliffhanger every episode - a perfect K-Drama was created.

Until the actual plot arrived...

Lee Yoon Seo, the girl who is the center of everything. There's always a lead in every K-Drama, right?
She seems to be haunted by a mysterious girl from the beginning of the series and we are all wondering:
- Who is she?
- What is her connection to the game?
- Is she a past player of the game? or the game creator?

But then...
Who would've thought that those exciting mystery plot will eventually taint the entire goodness of the series?

Well, not a single person before the whole Park Se Eun story comes to light... everything was falling down afterwards - I don't even need to recite what happened at the ending.
We all expected everything was a game or some sort, just that there's no point of a never-ending revenge done by Se Eun's parents as the watchers are not even emotionally engaged with her story that much, it was just an icing on the cake - unfortunately a bland one.

Season 2? would love to see how it goes, though it will be very difficult to make up the disappointment.

---

I wish they could create a better closure, this K-Drama was great and fresh, nothing could satisfy me more than this type of theme/genre. It is very unfortunate that such brilliant idea and massive potential the series had - tainted by the pointless closure.

Props to all the cast, regardless some of their annoying characters - they're the MVP of the series, especially:
- Cha Woo Min as Go Kyung Jun - scene stealer for the earlier episodes of the series
- Ahn Ji Ho as Jin Da Beom - scene stealer for the last episodes of the series

Was it worth the watch? absolutely, wished the mafia game could stay longer - it was fun and totally enjoyable - a total 10/10 minus some flaws in the rules here and there.

Was it satisfying? not at all - at least not for everyone.

Straightforward Romance no dull moment just good vibes!

I would say the only disappointing thing about this series is that they did not make this a mainstream series. The series is short, and straightforward, with no BS side characters that take the limelight from the main leads, and no long discussions/scripting. This should have been a noona genre because the main leads have 10 years age gap in real life but the plot was of a dominant rich FL who falls for a poor warm-hearted guy. It also has this sleeping beauty vibe that was incorporated into the story as fantasy, but yes it made the plot cute. What is amazing about this series is that even though this is a fantasy romance the scripting, the pacing, and the acting were all so realistic. It will make you smile because there are scenes that happen in real life. Scenes that are: when the FL and her friend were talking about how she could initiate sex with the ML and made those hand signs that she did it the following morning. How the FL and ML were watching 50 shades of gray to initiate intimacy. How the FL and his brother have a love-hate relationship, having a narcissistic brother that you fight with but at the end of the day protects his sister. How every moment the FL and ML share time together cooking, and lying on the sofa, is as simple as just the eye connection. The actors have amazing chemistry, again they have 10 years age gap but how they acted in their roles was so real and had no awkwardness. How the FL took the ML's face to kiss intimately several times when both of them were lying in bed and how they both looked at each other's eyes. The FL has her charm in acting and the ML has this genuine freshness in him. Hope all C-Dramas can adapt to this, with no BS side characters, and no awkwardness when kissing and doing bed scenes for actors who have an age gap. In most noona themes there are no bed scenes or even intimate kissing but this series was so straightforward with the plot and acting. Also, even the supporting characters and plot were so good that it all just provided good vibes throughout.

I hoped there would be season 2 and the actors here would be given mainstream roles in the future.

Intriguing yet frustrating, worth the watch

To start off I had a really hard time starting this drama. I watched the first two episodes when they aired. I’ve only now completed it as a posting this. The first two episodes are pretty good, I had a hard time understanding what was going on to the point where I had to rewatch episode 1 twice. Even on my second viewing, I was still kind of confused, which is why I stopped watching on the second ep. That being said, if you’re anything like me, and it takes a while to gain your attention. Please give this drama until episode 3 to fully bring you in.

For the plot of this drama I think it’s really solid. There are some things that could have been adjusted, but I think that’s all due to how the characters acted and their motives. I don’t have much to say on the story most of my worries and problems with the story are from the characters. I will say though, the ending being opened for a season two made me annoyed, but also curious on how a season two would play out. as well as whether they will fully develop the characters that needed improvement.

I think the cast are super awesome. They all did a great job at acting and you can see that by how annoyed and frustrated I got with their characters. But my biggest complaint is how the adults in the story seemed more childish than the characters that were supposed to be the children. Almost every adult character acted in ways that I would think that the teenage characters would act. I know the situations that they are being put in were very strenuous and emotional, but for the two main teenage characters to have more composure then the adults that were police was very jarring to me. I think that this was very prevalent in any scene that had action, all the adults seem to be very hesitant an not in a safety or percautious way. The way they acted almost seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing and they didn’t have a protocol to follow. The perfect example of this is during the Hospital scene that situation was very difficult to figure out a solution, but in that moment, all the adults seem to not know how they should go about things. Although the teenage characters weren’t very prominent in that scene, they still seem to have more composure, emotionally, and with their ways of going about things. You can say that the two teenage characters have so much composure, because of trauma and having to grow up early and I can agree 100% with that. The things that they had to go through and witness, they are most definitely going to be very mature for their age. But for the adults that have had the same experiences and more, while being in position of power, acting more childish was very frustrating to watch.

Besides how the adult characters acted, I don’t have any more complaints. It was a really solid drama with a good plot and frustrating characters. But with the content of the drama, you almost expect to be frustrated, which is what made everything that happened in the last two episodes very impactful.

✧If you’re contemplating watching the drama or not, I would say go for it 100%. It’s 12 episodes super short in drama world and it has a really intriguing and emotional story that pulls you in and makes you want to know more.

Literally sobbing at the HEA

I was so surprised that it actually ended happily bc I wouldn't put it past the writers to give us a "realistic" ending. Anyways, I loved the fact that you could tell that the MML had definite golden retriever energy while the female lead was colder, yet still super nice. I'll admit, the break-up past portion could've been done differently IMO but it wasn't too bad. It was understandable why they broke up in the past and when all else fails, you can always use the excuse that they were too young to know any better. Either way, both characters made mistakes and deserved to be with each other in the end.

A crazy short film that has an absolutely incredible rating on IMDb, I didn't find it that interesting at first, but after "maturing" it turned out to be a very solid piece and I certainly do not regret the time spent watching it, with an exaggeration and with the actors who are now the stars of the series Not Me and they are a couple in real life too.

It was marvelous journey of love, friendship and life...

It felt like i lived with them. From start to finish, there was no boring moment or even a second, also i didn't skip or fast-forward even one scene!! I love everything about this drama!! Character.. god everyone is so good! I loved every interaction between the boys, them teasing NYZ, YSS flirting with ruyi, QZ pulling NYZ 's leg all the time, everyone taking care of Yuan Lu, I hated it since the starting how Sun Lang didn't have enough screentime!!! If we talk about chemistry, NYZ & YSS chemistry>>>> NYZ & Ruyi chemistry!!! I am convinced, YSS is NYZ 's first wife! The bromance between Ning & Shisan threw me off the loop. I never expected to see such a wholesome, beautiful display of friendship, comradeship, and brotherhood.! Even with one scene Yuan lu stole the show (that rooftop scene, which in my phone wallpaper rn??). And THE FIGHTS!!! Were majestic!!! It's so beautiful!!! The cinematography!!! French kiss! I hated LTG but felt bad for him at the same time! Yang Ying, i forgot she's princess, she lived as prince!!! Chu yue, wished she and YSS had more screentime!! QZ deserves more recognition! He's loyal and funny, that's rare!!!

The drama went from Political comedy to political tragedy.. still it's fine! I loved it so much!! It was a marvelous journey!!! Of LIFE and DEATH!! Of laughter and tears!

It's my first ever review in mdl, even for my most obsessed dramas i didn't write a review but this drama is something special! I started with no exception. I know no cast here ( I know singer LYN but idk he's an actor) I don't rate 10 unless there's atleast one favourite actor of mine acted in that drama. I had no idea who is who which made me enjoy this even more.. I'm gonna petition for LYN & AF bromance/bl/action drama.
