BRUTAL VISERAL HONEST
Maybe I reacted to this drama in such an emotional way because our world is on fire right now. But, even if that was a factor this drama was beyond emotional & as a divorced person I could relate to the brutality that comes from being cheated on, used & ultimately cast aside. This drama correctly depicts that no one person comes out innocent no matter who is the cheater. It showed adults at their absolute worst, funny as per usual the children paid the price & the children were the only voice of reason in the drama. It was surreal to see the women make the meals, keep the house & raise the children mostly on their own again so relatable. I would suggest every married person no matter what gender or sexuality watch this drama it should be watched before anyone reacts to the ending of a marriage. It will stay with me for a very long time, no need to re-watch I won't ever forget it. The actors all did their job & I hope they were paid very well. Was this review helpful to you?
Now I get the low rating...
Loopholes are everywhere. I do not understand the logic behind the "portal". and there are many scenes that you, as the viewer, may have to assume that 'maybe they brought it with them'. also, though I like Xing Fei, there are parts in the series where her expressions do not match the scene, and Xu Kai Cheng's acting is awkward (for me). Also, the chemistry between them is sometimes a little bit too forced to my liking. What got me through the series is the fast-forward button; without that, I would have dropped this series after the episode where they got back to the 'modern' world.
What I hate the most about the story is the lack of communication between ML and FL. and I really hate the character of An Jingling, like what is wrong with your logic!!! you that is known to have a good mind is lacking logic. Like where is the logic in that!!!

TOXIC!
This is one of those BLs where you will have quite a difference of opinions. Frankly, I am a bit surprised that anyone found this series even remotely entertaining, to any extent an affectionate BL story, or even well-acted. It actually sickened me to watch this series as a gay person to see so much toxicity detailed under the guise of love. And apparently audiences fell under its spell because it is presented so prudently.I do not want to spend too much time on the toxicity of this series especially for those of you that have seen this and still see it some sort of ‘love story’. Even if I numerically listed the breadth of examples, you will still not see its harmfulness. And that saddens me. For those of you who have not seen this series, then look out for them with an open mind; they are glaring and obvious and disgusting and you cannot sugar-coat their effects. Hopefully, you will see them.

✌️Was this review helpful to you?
The Emotional Rollercoaster!!!
Okay so I want to start off by say this... This show gave me Emotional Trauma in literally the best way possible. It's 100% honestly one of, if not THE BEST Kdramas I have ever watched in all my life. The show held my attention so well, the emotions were on point, the acting was suburb and the story was just endless excitement for me. I've never cried so many times watching a show in my life, some part made my chest feel so tight and so many times I was just left with my mouth hanging wide open... ohhh my goddd!! 10 out of 10..like this show was just perfect to me. It's amazing that I just finished it and I want to rewatch it again... I literally never wanted it to end. I fully recommend this show to just about anyone.. it had a little bit of everything. Comedy, thrills, some spooky bits, romance and even just that good old fashion relationship drama that makes you want to just cry your eyes out. Ah I'm sad it's over... it was just an amazing show, just amazing. I will be rewatching this in the future for sureWas this review helpful to you?
Plain Piece of Toast
Life do-over very similar to "Till the End of the Moon", minus the crazy magical element. This is a very plain piece of toast drama. The ML.... who is the SML up till now (ep. 9), is wonderful, as he always is. Actually, all the actors are well-cast in this. No weak players here. But there is no plot to be found yet.... at ep. 9... and that's pretty late to be looking for a plot. This could have easily been a really good "slice of life" drama.... except.... it wants to become a melodrama, which would give it some flavour, but I personally don't like melodrama. It kind of wanted to be another "A Dream of Splendor" drama, but fails in the story department.

Adrift Characters Find Determination In Unusual Somber Yet Hopeful Tale
Cinematography 7, Lighting 9. GENERAL SPOILERS ALLUDED TO below.I started out hating Ritsu, as Nishini does, and normally I'd have a hard time forgiving that kind of character if they made those choices as an adult, but he's a stupid, young 20 year old. I have seen people in real life change their priorities by their 30s, especially when fueled by regrets. With the 10 years that have passed since they've seen each other and the looming end of the world in 7 days, the story manages to make Ritsu's imperfect-redemption possible. It's not a fairytale, and Ritsu's character does NOT get a knight-in-shining-armor make-over. And I think that makes the story more real and compelling.
The extenuating circumstances (the end of the world) acts like a pressure cooker; puting force behind Ritsu's contrition and speeding up Nishini's absolution. Each episode smartly reveals to Nishini and the audience a little more of who the present Ritsu is, how his past impacted him, and how he's being more thoughtful (it's subtle, but it’s there). He's still a flawed person, but Nishini's shifting attitude towards him is, at the very least, understandable. I was with Nishini all the way and able to feel happy and satisfied for the solace they find in each other as some of their wounds are soothed.
The series does a good job overall balancing some really heavy topics with hope (in various forms but can't explain without giving too much away!). Trigger warnings for suicidal ideation and attempts (with a pill, non-graphic). Plus some existential ruminations, as one might expect with the end of the world in sight. Even though the ending is positive and life-affirming, it would have been too hard-hitting for me to get through if I had watched it while in a severely depressed state myself.
Seto Toshiki completely redeemed himself from his simplistic acting in Senpai, This Can't Be Love. He portrayed a wonderful range of nuanced emotions in face, voice, and body in this series. Nakata Keisuki was a good match with him. He's a little more subdued but it works for his character and he and Seto have good chemistry together. The other actors were great in their roles too, there were no weak links.
The intimate scenes, of which there are a few, are definitely NC-17. They are more rough than artistic, and the actors seem pretty comfortable with each other so their interactions are believable.
I SO appreciate the line "...it feels so good." Finally, a 'bottom' character who expresses that it's pleasurable (and pain free)! As it can be, if properly prepared! It aggravates me how many BLs treat "being the bottom" like it's humiliating, painful, or a chore.
The time the characters are at a cabin was my least favorite part of the series. Not a huge deal, but the plot felt more contrived during this part, some character decisions didn't quite make sense, and the pacing felt slower.
The music was beautiful, sentimental, somber, and hopeful. It blended with scenes well and enhanced emotions. I will listen to this soundtrack as background music.
I love asianblreviews very thoughtful, insightful, and well-worded review of this series. I recommend reading that too. Full review here: https://asianblreviews.wordpress.com/2023/03/21/bokura-no-micro-na-shuumatsu-review-bl/
SPOILER ON THE ENDING:
I loved how they shot this and at what point they decided to stop filming. It's meaningful to have Nishini and Ritsu facing a new dawn together. Symbolic of the new and hopeful path of their relationship, as well as their individual selves that have done some healing and been reforged; ready to face life again individually as well as together.

Another Drama I Struggled Through
I usually watch my dramas at work when there's down time, or when I'm eating, so depending on the day and how much I like the drama, it could take anywhere from a week or two to months to finish. It took me months to finish Doom because I was just so not into it at all. This was sort of like that but different. I felt like this couple definitely had more chemistry than the Doom couple, but they got together pretty early so I was concerned that the show was going to do multiple break up/get back together story lines, but luckily they didn't.
This is the first review I'm writing immediately after finishing a drama, so I actually remember everything. lol Something that was super annoying to me in this drama was the motivation for the FL and her relationship with ML. So, I understood her initially requesting they don't tell anyone until she talks to the guy who has a crush on her, that's it. That makes total sense and is totally respectable.
Then she spoke to him, cleared the air, and then still requested they keep it a secret... for no reason. Literally none. After specifically saying, "Just until I speak to him." (Ji Seong Hyeon's character). It's like the writers wanted some wacky montage of them getting "caught" by the towns folk but couldn't be arsed to come up with a reason for why the secret needed to continue. lol
Also, SO MUCH happened the last episode or two, meanwhile almost nothing important happened throughout the rest of the show. It felt super rushed (not as rushed as the BOF ending but still lol). And those things were actually interesting, exciting, and emotional things. Why not spread it out?
Final complaint is very superficial but they did Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min A) sooo dirty with that wedding dress. I get they live in a small town, and they had a little nothing wedding, but my first thought was, "Wow the budget must have been GONE by this point." It was not attractive, not flattering for her at all, and looked paper thin and cheap. I bought a nicer wedding-like dress for $40 that I used to play the Corpse Bride. They could've done better. lol
Also, side note but why is there a music rating on these things? The only KDrama music that has ever, and will ever matter is the BOF music and that's because it's now used as THEE quintessential mocking KDramas music. lol

Nice series, with investigation and suspense.
The storyline is led by a duo of 2 excellent leads (FL = Han Ji Min & ML = Lee Min Ki).PLOT: A Seoul crime cop arrives, following a sanction, in a small “crime-free” town on the coast. There he meets FL, a veterinarian, who, because of a meteorite, sees memories by touching the buttocks. It works for animals, humans too. Shortly after, a suite of crimes begins. The cop and the veterinarian work together to find the culprit.
PROS:
+ Lots of humor, almost parodic (sound animations, dialogues, etc.)
+ Catchy, catchy duo
+ well-executed suspense
+ The action takes place - for once - in a small town, and the lives of the inhabitants is well described (work, relationships, clothing, make-up, etc.)
+ dynamic production, without length
CONS:
- no (or very little) romance.
=> I don't think I'll watch it again, because a thriller loses its flavor when you know who is the culprit, even if I really liked the interactions of the 2 leads.

PROS:
+ Beaucoup d'humour, presque parodique (animations sonores, dialogues, etc.)
+ Duo entrainant, accrocheur

Perseverance always wins
Overall the series is very good. Showing you that never giving up on your dreams will work, as long as you persevere through all the hardships, no matter how tough they get. All the casts actually did a nice job bringing this series to life. However, personally.... I find the male lead's extreme clingy"ness" and childishness in certain things very irky. It does have it's appeal but I still feel that it is overdone throughout the whole series. Nonetheless, I managed to watch thru the whole series, though it wouldn´t be rewatched because of the clingy"ness". Nice music pairing though! Was this review helpful to you?
MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN JAP BL - WORTH WATCHING!
I absolutely adore this Japanese BL series, "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN"! As a fan of Japanese BL dramas, the last one I watched was TAKUMI-KUN, and choosing to dive into "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN" left me utterly mesmerized. The growth and improvement in the execution of acting and scripting in this series are quite evident, and I was truly impressed. The actors are not only talented but also incredibly endearing, and their on-screen chemistry is undeniable - especially during those steamy scenes!
I eagerly anticipate more projects from this talented cast and creative team, whether it's a continuation of this story or a new BL narrative. In any case, "MY PERSONAL WEATHERMAN" is a definite must-watch for BL enthusiasts.

Amazing thriller
First time watching a mandarin thriller..... have been used to watching the TVB ones previously. The series is indeed very very easy to get hooked on to. Starting on present day and jumping back and forth in timelines can also be somewhat confusing if you walk out to get a cup of drink or something while letting it run. The casts of the entire series really did a great job bringing this story to life. The Male and Female lead are quite good together and make the story even more interesting. The songs paired for this series are also very nice to listen to.Was this review helpful to you?
Emotional and beautiful!
Me gustó mucho.

One of my favorites
I watched this while was airing it and I completely loved it. The way this drama got me waiting for each episode every week talks for itself. Both main leaders are amazing, thanks to this drama I learned to love the male leader as an actor and I've been watching all his dramas since I meet him here and I think we all know the female leader, playfull kiss is one of the national anthem for old kdramas fans, its a clasic.
Tbh when I started this drama i didn't expect nothing, but as time went on it became really good as already said, plot is great, acting is great and ost is great so if you like I dont like u and u bother me to lovers plot (just for call it that way) this is for you.

2023 Rewatch
As a newbie to BL during the pandemic, this was one of the first I watched. Thought it was so-so at the time but have just completed a re-watch in anticipation of watching the Korean remake. I have to say that my opinions on a few things changed since the first watch. Firstly, having become a lot more familiar with the tropes, the ‘I’m living in a Yaoi novel’ premise was a lot funnier this time around. I loved Zon and Saifah and so it was really sad that half their story was originally missing but the later specials filled in some of those gaps.I’m really sorry but I just couldn’t bear watching a lot of the scenes with Zee and Saint this time round. I felt like I was betraying Nunew ??? and their chemistry just didn’t compare with ZeeNunew. The NC scenes didn’t feel hot to me. Open mouthed but ‘dry’ kisses, run some kisses up and down neck and torso, flip over, repeat. Tommy and Jimmy delivered a couple of tears in their scene and made me cry and feel all the feels.
Great to see so many of the actors I now recognise so well but overall bar has been raised quite a lot since this was first aired. Eighth Sense and Only Friends being a couple of excellent examples!!
