Cliche BL Set In Office

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Employee): Pat
T (CEO): Jeng

- Beginning: B is a new employee at T’s company. He meets T for the first time when he spilt coffee on him. T notices B way before B notices him. From the very start, T finds B interesting and slowly develops a crush on him. However, he is his manager so he tries to keep his crush a secret by being very strict with him.

- Middle: Despite trying his best at keeping a distance, he is still unable to resist getting closer to B and starts finding ways to spend time with him outside work. At first B is very nervous around him, believing him to be serious and strict and scary but after a while, he relaxes and starts to like him as well. After B suffers a heartbreak, T finally decides this is his chance and asks him out. His first confession is rejected because B doesn’t believe he is serious (as T is rich and handsome while B is just normal), but after some thought and advice from a friend, he decides to give it a chance. They started dating.

- End: But before they could have their happy ending, another obstacle comes their way. People have seen B and T being intimate so rumours that B had slept his way to a promotion began circulating around the company. B wants to cool it off for a while but T doesn’t want to discuss it. But when B finds out that T has kept an extremely big secret regarding his job from him, he is deeply hurt, breaks it off with T and leaves the company. Some times later, he finds himself face to face with T again, this time to collaborate on a new project. By that time, B has realized that perhaps he had misunderstood T and deeply regrets breaking up with him. He goes to see T and begs for a second chance, which T gives. The show ends with them together again.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- I really like the characters, especially the one playing T. He is really good at playing the manager and everything about him is just so sophisticated. B on the other hand is awkward and adorable. I really like this kind of pairing and have been rooting them on since the beginning and wondering just what T will be like once he starts dating B.
- Although still a little dramatized, I found the depiction of the workplace to be rather accurate. I’m glad they showed B dealing with being a new employee and T finding ways to support him even if they aren’t lovers yet.
- I really like the acting. The actors did a great job at portraying the affection between the two characters. They also did a great job at being what their characters were supposed to be. As for the supporting cast, their acting was okay as well.
- I really liked the concept of this show and for what it’s worth, I think the concept was pretty well executed. The pacing was a little too slow for my taste but the story flowed well.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- The plot is cliche and predictable. I have tried guessing what would happen multiple times and has guessed right every time. There is a set formula for these types of stories and this show falls within that formula.
- There were times when the dialogue was just a little bit too much, too awkward in mind but those moments are few so that’s okay.
- There aren’t enough intimate scenes, just two, but they are pretty well shot and moderately hot.
- Miscommunication is used as source for angst. B left without giving T any chances to explain, breaking off with him and disappearing. It is an overused cliche.
- Denying the other person’s feelings because you think they are better than you and shouldn’t like you is also often used as source of angst.
- The length is also something I didn’t like. It’s just way too long for no reason. I felt there were a lot of padding in the sense you can skip forward and still not get lost. Less attention could have been given to other pairings or other events and slim down the run time.
- Despite the long run time, I felt their relationship lacks buildup. We have no idea why T liked B in the first place and why B suddenly liked T when he was obviously deep in like with another guy just then. It felt more like T is B’s rebound, cheapening their relationship a little bit.
- Although I know it’s intentional they were written that way, I really didn’t like the other women in that department. They don’t seem to do anything and cause trouble with their gossip and yet they are not punished.
- Sometimes B feels too soft. Although B’s reaction is probably realistic but since he is a character, I would have loved to see him with a backbone. Luckily, he does seem to become more confident thanks to T.

**Conclusion**
An OK watch but probably won’t be revisiting.

Good Verry Good ! !

As someone who has only watched Korean dramas, I was hesitant when I first heard about this drama. The reason is because I didn't know much about Ryeo-woon and Shin Eun-soo. But when I started the drama, they trampled on my stupid thoughts hahaha There hasn't been a drama that made me cry like this recently. It's a great drama in every way. Be sure to watch it.
You will gain a lot from watching this drama. There are so many scenes that I still can't get out of my head.
A cozy drama that made me feel so many emotions.

When life gives you lemons make a band with it😂 maybe all will be fine💕

A healing drama containing all the elements you will need to brighten up your life. You will feel happy, you will feel sad, you will sometimes laugh, or you will just sometimes watch the screen and be like how can everyone in this drama be so cute and then get hit back to reality a moment later realizing they aren't real people and this is just a drama (this is the only sad part). The cutest part of this drama is Yi Chan and Cheong Ah, both as a couple and as an individual are written and acted so well that you will start loving them both right from the start and till the end.
The basis of the story is about not giving up on yourself even if everything seems to be breaking apart and you find yourself destined to fall. Another great message is that no one other than yourself can live your life for you so you shouldn't let things hinder your mind and just live your life the way you like it. All the characters be it Eun Gyeol, grandma, Yi Chan's friend Eun Gyeols's brother, or Eun Yu, etc. just fit the role so well that I think whoever came up with the casting seems to be from the future??. The music is awesome, the flow of the story is really smooth and well-directed, and the cinematics and contrast between different environments, situations, timelines, etc. are well handled to the point that it just blends without being noticed into the whole drama. This show also tells how not knowing someone's suffering doesn't mean one can assume that they are okay, not all sufferings are visible everyone either is still fighting or has already won the battle with their share of suffering. My favorite character in this drama was Yi Chan due to how kind he was, and how well he could blend in with anyone and make the other party feel comfortable, he seemed comical yet without a doubt was the most responsible one in the drama and the way he treated Cheong Ah really sets an example of how green a green flag can be?.
Watch the drama to find out who will become your favorite character maybe this drama might also end up becoming a great memory for you too.

The Scent of a Wonderful Drama

I very much enjoyed this drama, especially the character of Hua Qian and the actress portraying her, Zhou Ye. Who hasn’t had regrets or wished they could do something all over again or wanted to just escape reality for just a moment? I resonated with Hua Qian’s and the other characters’ plights. I can understand the motivations of all of the characters (not the just leads) and how any decision can be easily influenced by emotions or selfishness or family or duty. These struggles are real and it was portrayed realistically in the drama. I was so invested in the characters (some more than others) that I was hurt to hear Qian Zhi was beaten to death by soldiers… sob

Hua Qian/Zhou Ye: I like how she changed from someone whose actions were driven by her obsession of a man to someone whose actions are driven by doing the right thing which unwittingly gains her the admiration and respect of multiple men as a result. Her love for her family and in trying to keep them alive, initially makes her do the right things for “karma’s” sake, but it slowly evolves into her moral code. It becomes clear that her years in exile has transformed her into who she is now, a strong and independent woman who no longer needs anyone to take care of her and instead she takes care of others. Zhou Ye played this role beautifully. I keenly felt her trepidation, happiness, sadness, and pain.

Zhong Xi Wu/Wang Xing Yue: In the dream, Hua Qian sees him as choosing duty over her, i.e., he has her expose her father’s crime when Mu Yao/Ye Lan have gotten past it. Also, despite his high position, he could never protect her from the all the scheming, e.g., the mastermind of her brother’s death goes unpunished even when Xi Wu knows who it is. Wang Xing Yue does a wonderful job conveying his inner struggles…the joy he feels when he sees her and the pain he feels when she doesn’t reciprocate his affections. In reality, unbeknownst to Hua Qian, he’s so in love with her that he has sacrificed his duty, has gone against his mother, and has burned through precious resources to help revive her from her coma. He would do anything to keep her safe after having lost her once, to Ye Lan.

Hua Rong Zhou/Zhang Yi Jie: In Hua Qian’s mind there was no one who has ever stood by her, loved her with all of her imperfections and mistakes, and protected her. Rong Zhou was this person in her dream and it was his presence that kept her wanting to stay there, until she realized Xi Wu was that person for her in reality.

Despite what many reviewers have said, for me personally, this was very romantic. I think for me, it pulls at my heart strings more when love has to be suppressed for realistic reasons, e.g., the ML struggling between his love for the FL and his duty to the people, the FL struggling between her love for the ML and her desire to live a free, peaceful life knowing that loving the ML would bring danger to her and her family, the 2nd ML struggling between his childhood love with 2nd FL and his growing respect and admiration for FL, etc. I would have liked a kiss to be shared between the FL and ML, but I think given their circumstances, it made sense why they didn’t and I’m fine with that. I also liked the innocent romance between Qian Zhi and Nan Feng. Did I say it nearly killed me when Mu Yao revealed what happened to Qian Zhi in reality…sob…

I also liked the ending. It was abrupt for some reviewers, but for me it was the right ending. The story revolved around Hua Qian, so the dream was clear and detailed because it was a rehash of her past mixed in with what she would do differently as a reformed person. Her future in her dream is just to have someone by her side forever, so I think not showing her future reality is ok for me. It doesn’t matter because the one thing that is certain is that despite learning to be strong and independent, she doesn’t need to face reality and the future alone. She now has Rong Zhou, in the form of Xi Wu, who will forever be by her side.

Even our parents once had sparkling youth

Ever had argument with your parents? Ever had differnce of opinions with them regarding career ? Ever wanted to know how their youth was?

This drama picked a very beautiful concept and executed it flawlessly. This is a whole package .

This brought tears in my eyes, made me laugh when most unexpected and left me with mixed feelings.
I would say the ending was not very perfect and would have been beter had they explained it in more detail but overall i loved it.

The characters stole this show, especially Yi Chan is such an inspiration. The music was good and i felt the concept was similar to perfect stranger but what makes this different is the mix of all genres.
Overall this is worth a watch!

Horrible pacing and tone

Minor minor spoilers ahead if any.

This drama wasn't for me... A lot of people like it, but after episode 12 I decided I just couldn't waste any more time trying to watch it and I pretty much just skip-watched to the end from there...

First of all, the premise has potential. After loving Hometown ChaChaCha I thought I'd love another small town story, but this one has some really annoying characters I just couldn't stand. I loved the actor who played Gyutae in It's Okay to Not Be Okay, but whenever he came on in this show I just hated him because he was just screaming like a big manbaby (I know that's who he is, but it was still really irritating). Dongbaek has a really bad victim complex... the women of Ongsan are developed really poorly and they suddenly decide to just like Dongbaek because she kind of starts to assert herself but she's actually so flip floppy. I didn't feel for Hwangmi that much throughout the whole show. Omg Jongryeol... Probably the most annoying. Even if that was the aim for these characters, the pacing was just sooooo dragged out, and while I had no characters to grow close to and love, I was just bored and annoyed watching this whole show. I will say there were some moments and scenes I enjoyed though. But those were far and few between.

The tone of this show is very confusing. It was either really bubbly and bright or so dark and eerie that I was like.. This can't be serious. I was thinking if they made that police guy the Joker that would have been soooo good if they made it work... but of course they made some random guy we don't know the Joker.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about trying to finish this show anymore!

viva la vida !!?

let me tell you it was perfect . I’ve been here months before it’s started and hyped the comments up , since September 25th first episode I was hooked .
I can’t believe it’s over and now my Monday Tuesday will not be the same anymore .

I think it’s the best 2023 drama for me , the story was so touching you will get attached so fast . the story is so moving , fun to watch , the friendship , the music and the band , the father and son relationship the mother and son relationship , the parents loveeee story just beautiful in every aspect . the acting was AMAZING . all the leads did an incredible performance . all the characters were written so beautifully

ha yi Chan was definitely a favorite here , such a light sunshine character , you will smile without even notice . I wished by the end the accident didn’t happened but after the last episode I’ve realized it’s the best ending still . the last episode was incredible , the hospital scene between ha yi Chan and his grandma was heartbreaking I cried so hard . Choi hyun wook was amazing I can’t express the way I loved his acting and his character , he is just the perfect fit to play ha yi Chan .

YOON CHEONG AH I wished we’d had more scenes of her butt even with the screen time she got , she was one of the most interesting characters and powerful ones , I loved her deeply , I wanted her to be happy and at the end she got her happy ending and that’s what matters . her and ha yi Chan?????
eun soo and hyun wook chemistry oh my god .

now for eun gyeol , so many times that he made me cry I’ve lost count . ryeoun is an amazing actor I was speechless some scenes . eun gyeol never failed to amaze me , the way he didn’t give up and help his parents until the end . and at the end he really did make his parents life better and his own which made me the happiest .

and eun yu for sure made me mad sometimes like her mother at the start , but she’s such a fun character and she made me laugh so many times and her and eun gyeol ?????? I was so happy at the last scene of episode 16 I was so scared he will not meet her

another amazing drama had come to an end , I’m so so so happy I’ve watched this one , I’ll recommend this forever , one of my favorite dramas of all time , the bestttt time travel drama to exist .

EEK! everything was such a ten out of ten. no bad ep, no boring charsacters, no drawn out plot lines, best cast ever like you cant find something as perfect as this. unfortunately  it would get to the point where i saved up episodes because i didnt want to have to go a week without it….and then i would somehow get spoiled BUT I DONT CARE!!!!

thisll be one for the generations and if i ever have kids this will be there cocomelon. ive added the ost to spotify playlists. ive made the pinterest boards. bitch its even infultraded my wallpaper. i see eun gyeols smile in my dreams. i hear chung ahs voice AND SHE DOESNT EVEN SOEAK. ive lost it.

Original, funny and absolutely charming

What a great surprise. The take on contract marriage is very original. This charming light-hearted drama made me smile and laugh throughout. Zhou Yu Tong, The main actress plays her role to perfection, she’s solar, extremely cute and funny despite her assertiveness, a great character hiding her sensitivity behind an armour. Now One of my favorite FL in a drama…and I regret that we don’t see more of ZYT in dramas on Viki.
Because she needs to get married and have a baby within a year, she has a way to try and seduce Gung Jun (before and) after their wedding which is just hilarious, …until he understands that it’s all for the show, because she never had a boyfriend and gets scared as soon as he plays along. So it’s not the regular storyline of they live together and slowly fall in love…
I must say that Gung jun, if not perfect, has a way to look at her that does the trick, his eyes can truly sparkle and shine love… the second ML who was a model before being an actor, is extremely handsome… which adds to the pleasure of watching this drama ;)

Cringe

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Student): Toh
T (Student): Neua

- Beginning: B has a crush on T but isn’t in the same circle as him. But one day he takes a picture of T that gets popular and T notices him.

- Middle: He start spending more time with T and realizes that he might like him a little bit too. They ended up together.

- End: Story ends with them together.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
N/A

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- The acting is really cringey. B’s friends are very cringey and B looks like a creep. All his actions are exagerated, making it unbearable to watch. I don’t understand why it is only with him when T and his friends seem perfectly normal. It’s really difficult to watch when you can’t even like the main character. If B had been normal and less extra, I would have loved this show because I really like T and I love the concept (I read some reviews saying it was fluffy, I think I agree).
- Their relationship seems really superficial. There is a lack of buildup before they got together. I really don’t understand why anyone would like B. I only continued watching wondering if B will change but he doesn’t.

**Conclusion**
An OK watch but probably won’t be revisiting.

Fresh Plot and Good for Horror, Mystery, Psychological, and Suspense

I love to see new pairings and new plots because they're adventurous and mysterious. As for myself, I was frustrated because of the same or lame story plots. But this is quite a fresh plot and good for horror, mystery, psychological, and thriller genre lovers, but not that terrifying. We all know that Singto and Fluke are well-known actors in the Thai entertainment industry. Of course, their acting in Shadow is superior. Their chemistry was okay, but there were no sparks. I think this is because both of them are acting calmly. The drama itself is a Pandora box. Because when you start to watch the drama, it feels like every character is somehow hiding something from the world. Specifically, you cannot identify who is the white or black character in the drama, though they include villains. Somehow, the main or minor characters tangled with the unsolved mystery. And the setting of the drama is quite unique because everything happened at a missionary school. Because within Christianity, there are a variety of views on sexual orientation and homosexuality, which raises a high level of doubt about a happy ending.

THIS IS THE BEST DRAMA OF ALL TIME…AT LEAST FOR ME.

Twinkling Watermelon will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. A perfect blend of romance, comedy, and drama. One moment you’re laughing, then you’re bawling your eyes out a few minutes later, then you’ll find yourself smiling from ear to ear as you feel butterflies in your stomach. It’s very well written from start to finish—truly a masterpiece.

Saying that the cast did their job very well is an understatement like you’ll literally be blown out of your mind. All of them did a perfect portrayal of their characters especially the four main leads—Ryoeun, Seol In Ah, Choi Yun Wook, and Shin Eun Soo.

Ryoeun showcased his versatility in acting. He never failed to deliver, be it comedy, drama, or romance, he nailed them all. Seol In Ah’s character here might be frustrating to some as she was getting in the way of the CheongChan ship, but she did very well especially as her character was like an icebreaker to the 1995 time slip era. She really excels in romantic-comedy dramas. Choi Yun Wook’s acting here could catapult him to a rising star status, if not already. It’s like you’re feeling all his character’s emotions first-hand with his acting, especially in his tear-jerking scenes. Meanwhile, Shin Eun Soo might have the least screen time out of the main leads, but boy, oh boy, those facial expressions were the best. She roughly had no dialogues because her character was deaf and couldn’t speak properly, and all she had were voiceovers of her thoughts. But her eyes tell a thousand words. I think she is the most impressive in this drama.

This drama got me hooked from the first episode, and up until the very last second of the finale. For me, there were no dull or boring moments that you would want to skip. Not to mention all the cliffhangers every episode, it would only make you look forward to the next episode.

The romance here may be a slow burn but it made the story a whole lot more exciting for me as the moment when the leads were finally together, it was sweeter and more heartfelt.

The best parts for me were the endless banter of our Ahjumma-Ahjussi couple, the CheongChan sweet interactions, the Watermelon Sugar band friendship moments, and our Best Grandma scenes. Everything was perfect.

With regards to the ending, it kind of felt like it needed one more episode to explain some things but I guess that was how they wanted the drama to wrap up as they seemed to add an element of surprise for the ending scenes. They kept things to viewers’ creative imagination. Nevertheless, it didn’t make it less impressive for me. All I can say is that everyone should watch this god-tier drama and enjoy it as much as we did.

Seaside, friendship, and that inimitable summer feeling

This show is something truly special and by the time I heard the opening theme for the first time I was already head over heels in love with it. It takes a simple premise - two kids meeting and forming a friendship which then develops into romance - and elevates it to a new level.
Not only are the characters incredibly endearing, they are also given a level of complexity and depth which is rare for a romance centered around high school age characters.
For instance, Amane, who has put the idea of romance behind him after a brutal rejection, is not jaded, closed-off, and celibate. Instead he is portrayed as being happily sexually active and secure in his sexuality even if he does eschew romantic relationships.

Furthermore, the progression of Amane and Ryuji's relationship is phenomenal. We get to see Amane slowly opening up and become less defensive especially where his sexuality is concerned. He slowly stops hiding behind barbed quips and preemptive self-deprecation and starts to regain some of his faith in the people around him.
Meanwhile we get to watch Ryuji deliberately opening himself up to the possibility of romance with Amane while still staying true to himself and his own feelings, which he does by being unfailingly honest both with Amane and with himself.

Add to that a beautifully scenic seaside town and an incredible soundtrack and you get one of the most charming and genuine shows I've ever seen. It is truly a rare gem that deserves to be seen and appreciated by straight and queer folk alike.
I simply cannot recommend this story highly enough, I implore any- and everyone to watch it, watch it right now.
