Just wach it ?♥️♥️

This was indeed special just too damn special.

Finally understood the difference between Daddy / Dad / Husband. Payu made it pretty clear although i had to re-watch it several times cuz i wasn't quite convinced the first time. :)) and i'm sure Rain also got the point :)))

Pai received his punishment like a man he is :)) the "stay down son, stay the hell down" is just epic Sky was just a little demon :)) but i enjoined every second of it.

Also the S** scene in the meeting room was unexpected but perfect at the same time.

very emotional ending

This is probably one of the best dramas I've watched in a very long time. In my opinion the acting was amazing, the actors chosen are very talented. The plot was also very good, I think it was probably a bit more realistic compared to other dramas. Also a warning, the end is very emotional, although I think it is an open ending it was still so sad. I cried so much, but i think that's also a sign that the drama is very well made.

All these things are just my personal opinions btw so please don't get mad.

it could've been nice but it's just boring

The genius Maths professor falling for the silly - but - cute - and - cheerful student is such an abused trope... It still could be ok since the actors are nice, but it drags way too much and the central plot is unnecessary entangled with other side stories. The main couple has little to zero chemistry, the ML repeatedly pointing out how dumb the FL is. And she is indeed! Failing in her studies, unable to keep a job or even to fry an egg (!).
I'm not sure if this was the writer's intention, but the drama seems a demonstration of the fact that smart men fall for stupid girls.
I dont think i can keep watching this nonsense till the end.

Rekindle a relationship ?

Slow burn. Kind of cheesy story. But I can’t help myself watching it. I melt every time Sky says “Vee” ? Probably I dreamt of rekindling my own relationship. Love Venus’ and his brother’s relationship storyline. Maybe not the best BL but love the acting and character development… it is my own taste. ?Usually communication is what goes wrong. I love how they explore this in the series. Sky gets 10/10 for what he does. He is soooo patient and romantic. ? Bomb is so supportive of his lover. ? Vee’s reaction was irritating at first, but what would you do in his place? I would also act hurt and hesitant. But also be very kind and loving. Love this couple and series. I think it might not be to everyone’s liking but it is my highlight of the weekend. I want more!

Speechless ♥️♥️♥️

Sweet and Romantic, Thrilling and Captivating.

It started strong and stayed like that. I just can't get over them.

The first part the story of Payu and Rain is just so sweet. The fact that Payu fell for him from the very first moment but played cool and made Rain fall in love with him it was unexpected in a way but cute. The "I will wait until you are ready" just made me love the show even more. The consent is an important part of this show and the way Payu wanted to make Rain a responsabil person and make him grow as a man is just so sweet. The intimate scenes... well the sounds they make are just exquisite in the kissing scenes you can see the passion and love they have for the other.
I liked that in a way Payu/Rain story was a little less tragic than Pai/Sky.

I really could feel through the whole drama that they have great chemistry and they are smoking hot.

It's a cliche the bad boy falls for the good and innocent boy but it was well delivered and i really enjoyed the show.

Saw some comments where it was disliked the fact that the drama was separated into 2 parts almost first part Payu and Rain second part Prapai and Sky. I didn't find it as a problem in a way it was better for me cuz i could focus on both stories equally.

The second part Prapai and Sky is just as beautiful i just can't with Fort he was so hot i couldn't breath for most of the time. Also the trauma Sky has had it's just heartbreaking i cried for him and cheered for Pai when he took revenge on Sky's ex for him. He just ripped that dude's eye piercing just pulled it out like nothing.

I will take a moment of silence for my poor soul that has been in pain every time Boss and Fort were shirtless.

Overall maybe the drama did had some not so good things like the sound sometimes and the constant rain see what i did there rain/Rain. But the cinematography was good. Good acting amazing chemistry realy nice music good stories intense kiss/sex scenes and a beautiful ending the only thing that made me sad about the ending was Prapai's line about society and the fact that marriage was not allowed between same sex. That made me a little sad .

If i would re-watch this? Obviously the whole drama not just some scenes .
For me is a 10/10 wish it was longer actually but we will get another chance to see Boss and Noeul together in another drama maybe better than this one and maybe their chemistry and acting will be even better cuz i saw some comments on their acting although i didn't see anything wrong with their acting. Ok maybe they were a little awkward in the beginning but hey it's understandable. Everything needs time and they needed their time to accommodate with each other. The same goes for Fort and Peat.

Inconsistent power levels, boring story

Rating: DODGE!

I decided to watch this show because people said it was good.... God were they wrong. This show is an OVERRATED show.

The show started out good but then the story went no where. The main character, Hu Fei, story is trash. The blind guy, Miao Ren Feng (MRF), story was much better. This show should've just focused strictly on him. Though the fight scenes were good, there comes a point where you feel like you've seen the fight scene before. That's because all the fight scenes have the same energy and similar choreograph. Then what bothered me the most was how Hu Fei keeps getting stronger out of no where. He barely trained using the marital art script he had. Yet this noob of a martial artist was able to beat a master. But there are other fights in the show where he loses to people who are much weaker. Finally, dumb, dumb decisions throughout the show. ugh. ABSOLUTELY A WASTE OF TIME. DON'T BOTHER WATCHING THIS SHOW. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Here are some of the notes I jotted down while watching the show. Please excuse the grammar and weird sentences. They are all thoughts:

Ep 1-3 Fei beat a maritail aritist at 13 years old with little to no experience...

15-17 episodes of the story of the Fengs, which was boring af. Had nothing to do with the main story.... Ziyi and hu fei romance was nice....

Ling Su doesn't get enough screen time, not enough development between Hu Fei and her.

Hu Fei can all of a sudden imagine and learn marital arts just be seeing it and by words alone. No explanation whatsoever.

Ep 27-35 was the Capital Arc and it was BORING.

Ep 37 How the hell does Hu Fei know how to use all kinds of weapons when he was not trained in them?

Ep 39 Hu Fei can learn martial arts just by seeing it but got his ass kicked by a weak marital artist. wtf.

Don't base your watch value from the comments...

I always check the reviews to know if i should watch the drama or drop it, mainly i find the majority having the same opinion.
But this one is a bit contrevesial yet in a good sense.
I can totally see where this couple may appear toxic and promoting an unhealthy relationship in the first episodes but once you continue watching you realise that this not the case...it's actually a very sweet couple with awful communication skills and unaddressed insecurities that manifested in so many ways unabling them from seeing the truth about their feelings ...
I loved it, the actors did an amazing job and the chemistry between the lead couple is just awesome.

overall, well made drama, but my personal preference dropped the rating

Overall, this was a very well done drama. The actors’ performances, the production, and the general filming/editing were all really good. I had really high hopes for it when it started, but started to have some issues with it towards the middle/end.

For me, the best part of the drama was the relationship between the three leads. Because, in general, I’ve seen this type of story told before, but what made this drama stand apart from others was the characters and how they interacted with each other.
I loved that Junmo was married and that his wife ended up part of the investigation. I liked seeing the trust they had for each other when in other stories there would only be jealousy and no understanding of the situation. This was something that I don’t normally see in stories like this. Of course, that all changed in the end, which bothered me so much. I think I could’ve handled the ending no matter what happened, if I knew that Junmo and Euijung were going to be okay. I understand that we, the viewers, are supposed to see that Junmo has changed too much to go back to who he used to be, but I didn’t want that (and obviously, this is very much just a personal preference). I guess, I would’ve liked to have seen more of Junmo changing. I know the turning point was the slaughter in the hallway; he got a little more unhinged after that, but I’m not really sure at what point he decided that he actually liked Jung Kichul enough to let him go at the end (but then turn around and shoot him? Why?). Along those same lines, when did he grow fond of Lee Haeryeon? Their relationship was a little weird/red flag to me, especially when she initially tried to sleep with him. That didn’t seem very wanted on his end.

I guess, in the end, I got myself into this one. This drama really never made any secret of the fact that it was only going to end one way and that was horribly. So my rating is mostly just because I’m annoyed by how it ended and not because it isn’t well made or acted.

Just what the f were the writers smoking?

Like what on earth were the writers on? I ask this because this drama just had me going “wtf?” almost constantly. Most of Bosco Wong’s stuff is not bad, even at it’s worse it’s at least a 5-6 score and average. This somehow managed to be less than average, and as I am currently 14 episodes in I am not holding out any hope of this getting better.

The drama is about Chrissie Chau playing two roles as twin sisters. The younger sister is an insurance broker whereas the elder sister is a Singaporean elite cop. These twins were separated since they were kids and have not seen each other in 20 years. The younger sister was mixed up in some shady stuff and while in Singapore she gets murdered and has her heart removed by organ traffickers. Cop sister discovers this and decides to travel to Hong Kong undercover to find who killed her sister.

Now, this is not a bad premise, except that there were some things I saw that made me go “wtf?” Cop sister takes on the identity of her sister to investigate what led to her sisters death, but while in the role we discover the younger sister was a disgusting harlot of a woman, sleeping around to get promoted, worked as a nightclub girl AKA prostitute to get money, was involved with a terrorist group called Green World, was working with a really shady man played by Derek Kwok, all of this while dating Bosco Wong’s HK police officer. As each revelation was revealed it just made me feel less and less sympathy for the younger sister because she was doing some real shady crap.

Bosco’s character is a real idiot as well because if he really was a good boyfriend he should have been able to immediately tell that the girl was not the same girl as his girlfriend as there were too many contradictions in everything she does. I kept screaming at my TV telling him to just bug her and find out what she was doing because that would have sorted out so many misunderstandings early.

Meanwhile, it seemed every single man was swooning over her, trying to hit on her or show general interest. She is pretty, no doubt, but I feel she was not THAT pretty, I found it all too unbelievable. The drama slowly became this sausagefest with her as the only taco, and I had to keep cringing at this.

What also made me start to hate Chrissie Chau’s character was how she used her Kevin Chu and Alex Fong. Alex Fong plays her boyfriend while she was in Singapore, but we do not know what their actual relationship is until many episodes later. After she goes to Hong Kong undercover she constantly asked him for his hacking services, and he becomes fed up because he was constantly waiting for her to come home, so he started dating somebody else. She finds out in a scene when he was in Hong Kong with his new girlfriend, but I couldn’t find myself blaming him. Suddenly, she shifts her attention to Kevin Chu, who was her sister’s best friend and just so happened to also be a hacker! Kevin actually worked out earlier on that Chrissie was not the younger sister, so she came clean with her cop identity and asked him to help her find the killers. She spent so many scenes just asking him to hack for her and do really dangerous reconnaissance, tasks that had him nearly get his organs harvested twice, and yet he still listens to her commands. I shook my head every time I saw a scene with them both and she asks him to hack this or be bait for that. Just stop it, please!

This drama is not complete yet so we’ll see how it fairs in the later episodes, but for now it is just a crapfest. Maybe we find out the younger sister was also a member of an assassin guild and had a secret child with one of the men? I wouldn’t be surprised.

Update:

I have finished watching this drama and the ending was so abrupt it had me going “what the f…”. So there is a huge plot twist where the younger sister was not dead but was pretending so she could plot her way to taking over her elder sister’s identity. Why? Because she wanted to escape her criminal past, and pinning all her crimes on her elder sister before killing her and taking place was her method of doing it. What this essentially means is that the whole premise of the drama has been a lie to us and a massive waste of time, because the whole reason the elder sister was in Hong Kong was to avenge her sister, and suddenly “Oh actually the sister ain’t dead, lol”.

Now there are so many plotholes that blew my mind that I had to ask how little the writers were paid. At the beginning of the drama we see the corpse of the younger sister, we see they have the same appearance and everything and even the coroner confirmed the DNA as well. So how did she fake this death? They visit a doctor and he explained how it was possible the younger sister donated bone marrow to someone so when the blood was tested for DNA it would have the sister’s DNA in there. Okay fine, but how did they explain the same appearance of the corpse as it was clearly the twin. They don’t mention this at all, no plastic surgery or anything, they simply brush it off as “oh yeah bone marrow.” They brought up the possibility of the coroner being unreliable, but if so why would they need the bone marrow transplant excuse? The coroner could just make it up, so it made noooo sense.

The drama tried to wrap up too quickly at the end. We spend the first 20 episodes slowly uncovering the nonsense plot the drama introduced, but it spends the last 4 episodes trying to quickly wrap everything up, with the final episode feeling especially rushed as they tried to cram as many resolutions in there as possible. Right at the end the sisters face off in an elevator and the younger sister forces the elder to shoot her to death. We see this reveal later when Bosco runs to the elevator and the doors open to show the younger sister dead, but we see that the elder sister doesn’t even shed a tear for her sibling and just walks out, says a few words while looking back snd then the drama ends. What?

But the biggest sin this drama threw at me was the death of Kevin Chu. I mean his acting was average but I felt bad for the idiot constantly putting his life in danger for the elder sister. He laters gets kidnapped and becomes paralyzed from the neck down, which really had me angry at the elder sister. But the last straw was when the drama has the younger sister appear to him while he was in his wheelchair and just outright murders him because he thought the elder sister was “better”. Come on give that guy a break! For that sin alone, this drama is not worth rewatching even as a joke.

Strong Girl Namsoon is not a story about Namsoon and the FL's speech is jarring

The most jarring thing about the drama is the director’s choice of casting the FL as a character who speaks with broken informal Korean. This is extremely annoying. It’s unnecessary as well as the FL grew up speaking Korean and any backstory could have been written that’s convincing.

Lee Yoo-mi is a novice actress but is known for in Squid Game for her ability to depict subtle emotions. Howver her current role makes her speak in awkward tones and does not utilise her acting strength. There’s only one scene where she hugged her father in the amusement park that is fairly warm.

Also, the producers can’t make up their mind about who really are the leads of the drama. So far, the FL’s family members take up a lot of screen time, and the FL and the ML only appear half the time.

The ML also does not have much to do, and does not have much of a romance or convincing love for the FL up to this point and it is already episode 8 when this review is written. It is hard to compare but as a spinoff, it is very underwhelming at this point.

Sweet and adorable .... not to mention alot of yummy food! :D

This series is absolutely incredibly cute and awesome! Other than the food always making me extremely hungry, the story line is not bad - quite alright actually. And of course.. Zhao Lu Si did a wonderful performance (as usual) with her adorable cheeky and funny ways. Both the Male and Female Lead are quite good together, their chemistry is very nice and sweet to watch, the hesitance and unsureness of the Male Lead about his feelings for the Female lead is quite interesting to watch and very adorable seeing how he tries to protect her in his unsure way of expressing his feelings.

It is actually a nice short series, very light with humour and alot of yummy food to watch.... you probably can catch a few methods of how to cook some of the dishes. Makes me hungry watching sometimes :D

The songs are also nicely paired with the show. I really love some of the songs. Rewatch value, for me, definitely worth watching a couple more times.

Another victim of the Ruco Chan curse

First 10 episodes:

So far this drama is good, and I know for a fact Ruco Chan is not going to die at the end of this drama because it is a comedy first and other drama is secondary.

I’ll provide a more thorough review once this drama is completed, but overall this is very funny and has some great moments in it. The one thing that seems to ruin the immersion for me is the blatant advertising of products in the show. Usually it is just Sea Horse Furniture’s mattresses that ate advertised, this is fine as it doesn’t get in the way of the plot, but here there have been so many products advertised it made me go “Why that? Why there?” For example, I never thought I would see Po Chai Pills being advertised so clearly, and yet here it is shoved in our faces. These product placements make me shake my head.

Hopefully this show has a good ending! Let’s wait and see!

Update after completing the show:

I feel like drinking Malvira wine for some reason. If you're happy, Malvira. If you're sad, Malvira. If you're horny, Malvira. Man, they really go a little nuts with this product placement in the drama that I really do not want to see another Malvira bottle of wine for as long as I live.

I swear TVB is out for Ruco's blood because they decided to give him this role where he is a massive useless idiot. I don't understand why his recent dramas all have great starts but have extremely lacklustre endings as the drama slowly deteriorates from something potentially good into something so full of s**t. I am calling this the Ruco Chan curse because all of his recent dramas, where he has been the main male lead, have been this way. Will his run of nonsense end eventually?

The story starts off with Ruco being this really lucky guy who had gotten to his current work position out of pure good luck, but due to a bad financial decision by his wife played by Jinny Ng, they lose all of their money, so they both decide to go to Beijing to start over with Ruco as a CEO for a company there. He is later joined by his siblings, played by Tony Hung and Joey Thye, but then there is a huge plot twist where it turns out he is not really the CEO of the company but a target of a elaborate revenge plot by ex-colleague played by Marco Lo, who wanted revenge against Ruco because Ruco's luck resulted in Marco losing everything in Hong Kong. Ruco is then tasked with a redevelopment project to turn an abandoned park into a 500 million RMB cash generating area within a year or there would be consequences.

This was quite a good start and the premise was full of potential, but it was completely wasted. The main characters all bounce off each other well at the beginning, and many of the jokes and antics were truly hilarious that made the first half of the drama easily 8-9 out of 10. And then - of course - the Ruco curse hit, and it hit hardcore.

We get introduced to a girl played by Jacky Cai that Ruco once met many years ago for one day, ONE DAY, where they shared the day and it made Jacky smitten with him. She asked him to return a year later to meet up again but he was unable to make it due to having stomach problems, so a lot of the drama after they meet again was basically her secretly pushing Ruco to do things that would drive a wedge between him and his wife. She clearly wants to take the wife's place; she even imagines being with Ruco, marrying him and having his son, so how more obvious can it be that she wanted to get with him? This, of course, make his wife suspicious and grow enormously jealous, but Ruco keeps hanging out with Jacky despite his wife actively showing her distaste, and do you know why? Because Ruco is useless!

After being given the task of turning the abandoned park into a 500 million RMB cash generating area within a year, Ruco was unable to find any investors at all. We watch as he hopelessly tries to get investors, so it ends up with Jacky helping him out the entire time, getting him all these investors and big brands to sign up to the project, so clearly Ruco had no choice but to keep her closeby. What I found really stupid was that right near the end when things were really bad between Ruco and his wife, we find out Jacky had been fired from her consultant job because she had been spending too much time helping Ruco out, so what did she do? She just ups and left, leaving a note saying good luck to Ruco and his wife after all the damage she had caused, and realising she would never win Ruco's heart. What the actual f?

Ruco's onscreen wife Jinny also has her own romance issues as well outside of being jealous. Due to some circumstances, she ends up meeting her pop idol played by Edmond Leung, and suddenly ends up competing in a singing competition where he is one of the judges. He becomes her mentor later as well, causing Ruco to become insanely jealous. When we think things get really bad, Jinny makes the decision to give up the competition for the sake of her husband and family, which I thought was a huge move in trying to save her marriage. This makes Ruco looks like a huge a**hole, even after he decides to tell her she can continue to compete. This doesn't mean Jinny doesn't have her bad moments, she made a couple of romance analogies that made no sense. The one that triggered me the most was her explaining how marriage was like having a song list of favourite songs and when you get married you can only listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life. No, marriage is not like a song, that is nonsense because a song only describes one emotion at that moment in time, marriage to a person you love is full of many emotions and memories.

There were many other romance issues the other characters encounter, but Ruco and Jinny's issues pretty much takeover the 2nd half of the drama that it becomes all encompassing and it just drags the show down into the dirt. And that guy Marco Lo who wanted to get revenge, did he do anything else later in the drama to make things interesting? Maybe try to undermine Ruco to spice up the drama? No! He pretty much just scolds Ruco in a few company meetings, and right at the end of the drama - out of nowhere - decides to be nice to Ruco and help him out. That came out of nowhere and made no sense, a massive waste of potential tension between these characters.

And the final scene... oh man. Tony Hung gets the final scene as he finally admits his feelings for his friend and confesses to her, and she agrees. Yay, everybody is happy and they start hugging, then the entire family appears, the camera zooms out to see the entire family but one person is missing. Ruco and Jinny are back together, Tony Hung gets with his girl, but the sister Joey Thye was all alone despite getting with her man. Why was the guy missing? Wasn't this a full family shot to end the drama? Why was one person missing?

Please stop this TVB.

it was good

This series was a total mess, but I really liked it. Lets start with Top and Mew. Mew was so innocent and naive from the beggining, but when Top cheated on him with his friend, he became out of control and acted so stupid. He wanted to took revenge but went too far (my opinion). Top didnt deserve to suffer so much, he already learnt his lesson and all. The drama between them lasted till the end, but at least Mew gave him a second chance.
Sand and Ray are my all time favorite couple, I liked them so much and the chemistry between them was obvious. I felt sorry for Sand, because his ex betrayed him and then when he met Ray, he didnt know what he want ( Ray was in love with Mew from the beggining and there was a chance for them to be together, thanks to Top`s mistake). Ray suffered a lot also. He was alcohol addicted and it was painful to watch how he lived. Sand wanted to help him and always been on his side.
Boston and Nick wasn`t my fav. couple in this series, because of Boston. He was disgusting in this series. He slept with Top, with Nick who really loved him, with Atom and many more people. He wasnt capable of normal relationship. He betrayed his friends and Nick. I felt sorry for Nick, he deserved a person who love and support him. At the end, he didnt give one more chance and said goodbye to Boston. Dan was better than Boston to be honest.
Another character who I didnt like is Boeing. He betrayed Sand, Top and when he came, he messed up everything. Sand almost gave him a second chance.
At least everything ended well, but this guy who showed in the end.. i think that in season 2 (if they make a second part) he will cause troubles.

The Lovesick Queen Maker and his peace-loving & compassionate Wife.

This would have been insane if they made it longer and if it was handled by a better production company with sufficient budget. The main idea and how the story was set up is something that has been attempted for years and I truly feel bad that a potentially good story like this went to a mediocre company who turned it into something underwhelming—disappointing.

Although the entire show is full of plot holes, like literally left and right, I can really see that this type of narrative could have been built into a more comprehensive and detailed platform where it can be given a chance to elaborate and incorporate the real message of the story with more precision. The way it was created and ended felt so rushed, that I myself started feeling bad that it was treated and squandered like that.

Something I initially like about this drama is its phasing—It went by so quickly not wasting any episodes throughout its first half but ended up ruining the other half eventually. All I can say is that their idea of putting up the story like that escalated pretty quickly which causes it to backfire at the very end. I still find it crazy how they leaped through the most important events like it was nothing important. It genuinely felt like the climax was skipped over just so that they can end it—which is a very dumb decision to be very honest.

Another thing I find ridiculous is the fighting and martial arts scenes. They tried so hard to make it look great at first but I guess they gave up on it as the story goes on because the way it was executed on the succeeding episodes was simply terrible you won't even have to think twice to say it's really that bad. It was too evident and crystal clear like they didn't even try hiding it. Hahaha!

Lastly, I just wanna say that the way they depicted women here with resolute resolve is something I truly like. However, the execution is where it all went wrong... such scenes could have ended great and inspiring but for some reason it looked prematurely done. The power and determination is there but the lack of conviction and weak representation made it feel and look like a literal staged play—an act.

P.S. The ML (Yuan Hao) is an expert in playful-cuddly-romantic scenes. I swear! He makes my heart leap countless of beats everytime he acts like that.

Story - 8.5, It is promising and is actually good, however, the people who directed and created it is disappointing otherwise. How I wish it was handled by a better director, script writer and production company with sufficient funding.

Acting/Cast - 7.5, The acting is very inconsistent! I had to pause multiple times and mentally consider a lot of things i.e. dubbing, voice syncing and all because I thought the problem may have been caused by that. But at the end of the day, none of those are the reason why I was bothered. The problem really lies on the facial expressions, emotions and overall body langauge of the actors'. Most of the time I think they do not even know how to act their scenes and is just doing the best they can do and as a result it turned out pretty awkward and bad. Yuan Hao did great though!

Music - 9.5, Music is Good. There's this one song they used I believe on Ep.8 that I can't find the tittle of which I really love and I will surely hunt that one down. For sure!

Rewatch Value - 8.0, It was not that bad for me not to rewatch it. I would say it's worth my time and as I mentioned, is a potentially promising production and could have been more, with better team working for it.

Overall - 8.5, I contemplated so much with this rating. I was set to give it a 9.0 - 9.5 however the unexpected ending made me retract on how I feel about this drama. I understand that they lack the resources and all but I cannot accept that they chose to off screen most of the exciting scenes and eventually ruling all the commotions they have started from the very beginning to a draw. Like, did you all just wasted your entire effort from the very beginning for nothing? Hahaha!
