I picked this one out of all 12 U-Prince stories because of the colorful main characters: the hippy and the geek.
The story is about how Mel Be, a science geek gets dumped by her boy friend who is also a science geek. His reason for his break up was that they were too much alike.
Hippy witnesses the break up and comes to talk to Mel Be and asks for her Beatles T-shirt as he's a fan of the band. After that Mel Be decides that she wants to prove whether her ex-boy friend was right about dating similar people by asking Hippy, a singer who is quite the opposite of her, to date her for five days in exchange of the shirt.

This is a great story about falling in love with the 'seemingly wrong guy' in college.
The five days are full of trips and stories that is full of fun and drama that just touches your heart.
And the way they meet and fall in love is believable and touching.

The songs were actually really written and produced by Kun the main actor in real life which makes them even more meaningful.

Loved it!

This one right here is a story that took love to develop. It is not your typical boy meets girl and they become physically attracted to each other. I think the story line was awesome with great delivery. It is a story that love can be found in unlikely places when people take chances. This part is a stand alone. If this was a solo movie it can be great itself.

Short review:
Mel Be's driving on the lost highway with Hippie riding shot gun and supplying the entertainment. We're the passengers in the backseat enjoying the ride. Every bloody minute of it.

If anything...The music wins all the points. Jesus, the best music I have ever heard. Hippie (Ken--lead actor wrote all the music, composed, and produced all the music himself for all of Hippie's music in U-Prince series).

Long Review:
Seriously, there should be a page just for the U-Prince's. Series reviews are weird to do. Out of ALL the U-Prince's this one is my FAVORITE.
Top 3:
1. CRAZY ARTIST
2. GENTLE VET
3. THE SINGLE LAWYER

I haven't watched all the U-Prince's. I am familiar with all the actors. I had put all the series on hold forever. I seemed to have watched the ones I hated, hence the reason I never stayed. *cough* geologist *cough*.

This story is a cool guy meets nerd girl and sparks fly and love is in the air. Most people are done and bored by it. I like it. I think for me, it's because I was a nerd in high school (all girls mind you). Yup, glasses and all. I was attracted to the bad boys. I had fantasies that I would be walking in my uniform and a guy in motorcycle would think I was hot and from there it would bam. Thinking back, it sounds creepy. But hey, I was 15. Anyway, this is the premise.

Again, for most it's a very boring trope. For me it's a safe trope. I love them. I was actually worried people would spew hate on it because of it being safe. However, as I was watching it...this was far from a safe trope. It was very powerful. Furthermore, what was interesting for me in the drama was also interesting for other people who might have found it boring.

It's a trope that was carried by absolutely great acting. The actors here had great chemistry. I bought into their relationship. I felt it. When they asked "Rewatch Value" ---> I rewatched episodes as I waited for episodes to be subbed. That already tells you how much rewatch value it has. I rewatched over and over and over again. That's how much chemistry they had.

This actress can cry up a storm. Those tears are fat ass tears. I have no idea where they come from. They're like rain storm tears. Jesus, so much so, she had me crying. You feel Mel Be's pain. The lead character Mel Be is sweet and analytical, but carries a soft and fanciful side to her.

Hippie, the Crazy Artist is her perfect polar opposite but balances her analytical side and they meet on this plane of equality where they both find mutual likes for different reasons. You'll note the planetarium date. There is a mutual meeting of minds and sharing of interests that bonds these two. She inspires him and makes him more spontaneous and she joins him on the adventure she provides the direction for.

It's great fun.

I have rewatched this three times. That is how good it is ! With the U-prince series I was prepared for cutesy college romances but Crazy and Mel Be were different. They delivered everything, drama, romance, comedy, anguish...ugh. The acting was superb, the story line is brilliant (seriously the writers should pat themselves on the back) and music was amazing. If you like opposites attract/deep romances this is for you. It feels so disingenuous to simply describe this drama as amazing because it is more than that. You just have to watch it for yourself.

This is the best of the U-Prince series, in my opinion. It has the most complete story and both leads are likeable, which is not the case with several installments. Ultimately though, it is the actor and actress who really sell this story. It was lovely to watch. Hippy should be crowned King.

I was the most excited for this story out of all of the U-Prince series because Hippy was an interesting supporting character in everyone else's story and I knew his love story would be very good!
I love the opposite's attract cliché they used for the storyline. Hippy is a rock star who never really thought he would find the one, until he meets bookworm Mel B and the two fall in love within the time span of 5 days.
I absolutely loved this story and the cast! Originally my favorite story of the U-Prince series was "The Lovely Geologist" but it changed after completing "The Crazy Artist". This story lived up to my expectations and everyone should watch it!
The acting is great!!! Mel B made me cry whenever she cried, she looked so heartbroken. Hippy brought his character to life and many people loved him, including me because he's such a fun person and his voice is so good.
The story is so heartwarming and beautiful. Never a dull moment for me and I loved seeing Hippy and Mel B grow so close. It's an emotional yet beautiful drama!!!! I LOVED IT!!! 10/10

Story: this is one of my fav series of uprince. i start to watch u prince because of push and esther, but dont really like their series. i actually wants to skip this series because of its typical stories of geek nerd and hot guy stuff that happened in any other drama. thank god i decide to watch it since i watched u prince in order. i really like how this story was told, how the development between both lead, how the problems occurs, how it was solve, how the ending was wrote, how the scene was wrote. basically they did a great job in writing this. it has the funny, cute, sweet, realistic, and sad scene that sometimes can be relate to you.

Acting/Cast: have to say both main lead got a damn good chemistry, they are really good that u feel like they are in the relationship in the real life. and even the chemistry between lead and his friends are good to see;.

Music: it was good. since the guy is musician in this series, obviously they have lot of song, concert done for you in the series, the sad song really hooked me up that i end up downloading it.

Rewatch: i might even end up rewatching it tomorrow..

I loved this drama, it was fantastic from beginning to end. I felt like I could relate to the characters because it felt so relatistic. I think this is by far one of the best short Thai series that I have seen. I think their chemistry was fantastic! It was different from the "jerk" type drama, although he joked around a lot...I could really feel his genuine feelings. It was raw and realistic, even the ending. Now tha I am typing this, what I really loved is that he never tried to change her...and only praise her beauty and truly , I think everyone deserves to be treated that way.

A precious jewel

A touching love story where we find beautiful and realistic characters, good actors and a wonderful OST.
I was deeply charmed by this story, very different from most asian drama. without the common places we are used to.
Another midas touch in this small drama is our ML singing. Kun Kengkarnka has such an enchanting voice and the songs were amazing.

The story begins with a nerdy girl meeting a free-spirit musician after being left by her boyfriend. He is touched by her suffering and he she asks him for dating her during 5 days in exchange of a Beatles t-shirt . She wants to date him because she wants to know if opposite people have more attraction than a couple formed by similar people (just as her formal couple).

He is generous and plays perfectly the boyfriend’s role. I think she had a low expectation because this was a « fake » relationship.

Attention Spoiler:

Even if one of the leads presents amnesia, during the drama, it happens in a realistic form. Memory is gone but feelings stay, as it is in the real world. I hate when in a drama, one leads forgets the existence of the beloved one, changes feelings or personality, just to compose a plot where the other lead must go to hell. Have you noticed how asian screenwriters love amnesia and in second place prosopagnosia (inability to recognise faces) ?

But the best is the sweetness of main leads, specially ML. He is so respectful, sweet and easy-going. Oh, how sweet to be able to avoid these dominating CEOs.

Ending Spoiler: Yes, we have the expected « Happy Ending », a very beautiful ending by the way because it is sensitive and very plausible. but prepare your paper tissues to cry.

intro: U-PRINCE is a series of 12 series, each having 4 * 1 hour episodes, and features one young man's journey in finding love in his life.. it's set in the environment of university, and to some extent all the stories are connected, since all young men are making an appearance in other's stories as side characters.
That said, you don't really have to follow the "order of appearance", but, for those who like to keep things chronological, this it the order:
Part 1 : Handsome Cowboy
Part 2 : Gentle Vet
Part 3 : Lovely Geologist
Part 4 : Bad-ass Baker
Part 5 : Absolute Economist
Part 6 : Foxy Pilot
Part 7 : Playful Comm-Arts
Part 8 : Extroverted Humanist
Part 9 : Single Lawyer
Part 10 : Crazy Artist
Part 11 : Badly Politics
Part 12 : Ambitious Boss
Generally, these are ALL cute stories, made to make you smile.

I know most of drama-people voted this one to be the "most feels" of the entire U-prince series. Without doubt, it's true to the core.
The story is quite simple.
That leaves a lot of space to work on our characters. That said, I don't think that, after watching the Show, anyone can say they could imagine our OTP to be played by any other actors. They fit the roles amazingly. One being so loosen up and free; the other being more interesting in a scientific factor of everything around us.
It's all because of one SHIRT.
But, not any shirt: the Beatles shirt! with words "let it be" on the back.
And, that is the core of our story. Learning the magical effect of being able to "let it be".
After being so majestically DUMPED by a looooooong time boyfriend, I say our FL was doing great, actually. Besides, there was this odd looking, guitar carrying fella following her, quoting excepts from her brother's books!? I'd say she handled herself brilliantly there. If it was me, I'd be choking the boyfriend to his slow death and probably running away from ML screaming my lungs out.
Fortunately, there was that one shirt.
Another point here: love does not know TIME. Some love stories grow slowly, some sneak up on you without you realizing, and some (like this one) just explode in your face..and you wake up not being able to understand how come there was ever a time you were not in love.
Oh, and there is that one thing I don't like: darn ex-es changing their minds! Sorry, what SANE person would take you back after you brutally shattered their self worth?! Go, hide in a dark corner!

At the end: chose your friends wisely, because if you end up hospitalized, it's important to know that they'll be there for you, because they believe the worst thing would be:
"..waking up and not seeing anyone"
Watch it for..
Watch it for the sake of dry bananas!

I have to say, I've enjoyed this series thoroughly, it's just nice and entertaining and such a time filler especially in between other dramas or if you just need a break. This one was such a difference between the others because there was no fuss, no fight, nothing like that. The girl was just nice and sweet and had gone through something so as a drama side of it, she ask this rocker dude that's completely opposite of her to help her out. Even though it was just for her use of it, the two main leads were absolutely adorable with each other, Hippy is just an A-1 actor and this was meant for him honestly. They were so cute and just wonderful to watch overall, it was very refreshing. Besides some of the random drama and the stupid ex-boyfriend, I love this one. I also like that they all connect because I like that their friends and stuff. Love it.

About this one drama evrything was so good ...
I mean I liked it ...
But I really wished to see them a little bit more
The story was different
Their acting also good . The cast worked very well together..
No unnecessary dragging of the story . And their relationship development was beautiful shown in that time limit.
So overall it's good and I loved the couple together.
Most of all it's a feel good one ☺️☺️
So you can watch it .... Recommended recommended ✊?❤️
