City Hunter is a must watch. It's the whole package: action and adventure, romance, comedy etc. Lee Min Ho does a wonderful job portraying his character, the ups and the downs, as well as the other cast members. Lee Min Ho really broadens his acting ability in City Hunter, which makes him a truly great actor, and I doubt anyone else could have played the role better. The story gets better and better as you watch the drama, more intense, and more heart wrenching. By the time the drama is over you will be wishing for more. The storyline is unique, and the writing for City Hunter is superb. The moral of City Hunter is something everyone who watches City Hunter can take away as a life lesson. If you are wanting to see something that keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you reflect, not only on the story, but on your own life, and even giggle like a little school girl, City Hunter is a drama that is #1 from the get go, and continues to be all the way through.

City Hunter is amazing, there is no other way of putting it.

The leading characters are protrayed beautifully and they seem so realistic, they are supported by an aray of different characters each with their own personality and traits.

The storyline is possibly the most original storyline I've ever come across. It had me hooked from the start and mantained the flow till the very end. It had me laughing, crying and shouting at the screen throughout the series.

The music is catchy and it gives suspense in all the right places and makes the fight scenes even more badass. I was humming the tunes whenever they came on.

Overall a brilliantly entertaining and egaging watch, that I would recommend to anyone. A nice mix of action, romance and with a hint of commedy. Plus theres the fact that the lead is tottaly hot!

This drama is seriously great! I loved every minute of it, there was not a single bit that I found boring or uninteresting. The story line was just too great. Everything flowed well so perfectly! All different genres fit in together so perfectly. This drama literally has everything from: comedy, romance, tragedy, action, suspense etc and the list can go on from a-z.

Also all the actors were so great! Each and every one of them portrayed their characters so well. Really hats off to all of them, they all did a great job! There was not a single actor, in my opinion, who didn't portray their characters well or didn't do a good job. Seriously it was amazing!

About the music what can i say. All the songs are so great! I really love the OST of this drama. My favourite sound track would definitely have to be Suddenly sang by Kim Bo Kyung. That song is just too great! And I think I have played it sooo much I got the lyrics memorised xD

When it comes to rewatching this drama I would definitely do so, but I think I wouldn't be able to handle all the feelings I went through while watching it the first time round. Seriously you should have seen me. I looked like a mess haha (my mum thought I was gone mad or something)

But yeah overall this drama is just perfect! So i just had to give it a perfect score xD It is definitely one of my favourite dramas. The only criticism I have is that the last episode seemed a bit too rushed because it did lack some minor details. I won't mention what those minor details are because then it will become a bit of a spoiler. So if you want to know what those are then i suggest you watch this drama :p

I don't even know where to start with this drama. My boyfriend and I were on the edge of our seats through almost all of the episodes. It's a great conspiracy revenge story.

It's important to note that, while there is some romance, this is mostly a guys' show. Lots of fighting, guns, blood and fatal wounds. A lot of these scenes were too graphic for me to watch. So I sat through part of the beginning with my eyes covered.

There were so many subplots that all seemed to interweave into the main plot. It was almost just as interesting to figure out how people were connected to each other as it was to watch the action scenes. I also enjoyed the side romance of Na Na and Yoon Sung's coworkers.

The only reason I can't give the story a 10 was because there is one episode that gets a little long. But stick with it; it is oh-so-good! A lot of people have been asking about the ending. The ending is fitting for the characters and series.

Also, Lee Min Ho stars in this. Once again, he's great at acting and beautiful. I am impressed at how unique each of his characters are in dramas. I heard he actually had to learn martial arts and train for this role. Even cooler!

Overall, awesome awesome!

Story wise- it has all of the characteristic of a good drama for me i really like the thrill and action specially the romance between the main characters in spite of the hardships and struggles they had..

Cast- i made it 10 co'z I think they are all perfect in there respective role I never imagine any actors/actresses can replace them.
nana- like her being tough but really caring women.
yoon sung- he has this smooth moves whenever he has task to do.He's really handsome and only love one woman.

Music- just right for every scene specially and really love the ost. I even downloaded it. :)

Rewatch value- i think it's not rewatchable coz you already know the mystery there.

Over all - it is very good for me because it has a new taste of a drama i've never watch before knowing the fact that i'm not a bif fan of action movie/drama etc.

--Hope you'll watch it and share the good reviews after.. :) happy watching... fighting!..

Oh my god City Hunter. So I will be honest, when I first started this drama I was skeptical. Extremely skeptical. I had previously see Lee Minho in BOF and Personal Taste and was not impressed. He (and the story) did not strike me as anything particularly unique. I expected City Hunter to be an action mess, one which had no real plot or character development... Boy, was I wrong. For starters, this drama changed my perception of Lee Minho. He sold an incredibly complicated yet motivated Yoonsung so, so well! It came to a point where I thought Yoonsung was actually LM in disguise (for only a moment though-XDD).
Now, I would say that Lee Minho was the best part of this drama but I would be doing an enormous disservice to the rest of the cast and to the actual plot. The cast was brilliant. Simply brilliant. While I found Nana frustrating as times, everyone was spot on (and I am not exaggerating). Lee Joonghyuk as Prosecutor YongJu rivals Lee Minho's performance; his character is oh, so much more that meets the eye-I also love that he is so devoted to his principles.
And, then there is the story. When I first started CH, I was quite lost-I had no idea what was going on, but trust me, it gets much better. The drama creates a world in which the line of wrong and justice blur, a world in which a vigilante emerges from the seeds of revenge. I actually love that this drama is such an emotional rollercoaster. Personally, I am not a fan of melodramas but I stuck with this drama because it was so damn entertaining (plus possessed major eye candy ;D). The action sequences were fun and very skillfully filmed. CH is one of those dramas in which the director really did know what he was doing. The villan is brilliant. Simply BRILLIANT. He left me speechless numerous times.
Overall, City Hunter is a wonderful blend of comedy (yes, it is quite funny), romance, action and drama. I would recommend it to anyone, including someone who has never seen an Asian drama before. (The only reason my Rewatch value is lower is because I am not sure if I can live through this drama again-you will see what I mean ;))

First off I have to say that I wasn't all disappointed with the ending like everyone seems to be. Sure, it was vague, but not so much that it needs a second season or anything. I kinda liked the ending.

I rather liked City Hunter. The story was interesting, even if it was a bit slow sometimes and a little unbalanced between the action and romance. Lee Min Ho isn't the best actor in the world, but his eye candy-ness definitely makes up for it. All the supporting cast did really well. I especially liked Lee Joon Hyuk as Prosecuter Kim Young Joo. The music was really good. I was on the edge of my seat in a lot of parts, yelling at the screen "No! Don't die!" and such.

So, even if it's not the best drama in the world, it's definitely in my top ten.

The ultimate revenge drama, starring the most popular Korean male actor in the world, is a bit flawed in the beginnning few episodes but anyway, the rest are powerful episodes which boasts one of the most dramatic K-drama I've ever seen. I say the drama is "flawed" only because, after creating unbelievable dramatic tension in the first episode with a shocking - and very hard to watch - mass assassination scene, the drama then focuses more during the next four to five episodes on the lead male character's attraction to a girl who is a bodyguard at the "Blue House" (the Korean equivalent of the U.S. White House). I think that was a mistake: if you are going to write a revenge drama then revenge should be the main focus of ALL the episodes. A romance is fine but it should be woven into the story lightly as a true backdrop to what's really going on in this story: two men's thirst for revenge against the people who ordered the mass assassinations of their fellow citizens. To be fair, after about the fifth episode, the drama gets back on track on the revenge theme, and by the end that theme delivers in spades. Any lag in the story at the beginning was the writers' fault, not the actors' fault - they all delivered fine, unforgettable performances, especially the actor who plays Lee Min Ho's adoptive "father" in the story, actor Kim Sang-joong. He blew me away with his intensity, perhaps because in real life he has been a Marine and a cop, as well as an actor. At least his character never loses focus on his ultimate goal of revenge, which is far more believable than Lee Min Ho's character's obsession with a girl.

There’s something about Kim Na Na’s solemn and innocent face that keeps Yoon Seong want to ward off any trouble and stand protective. As time passes he gets drawn to her but his goals prevent him from being open with her. Stolen glances, silent exchanges are all they can afford for the time being. I really like Kim Na Na’s character. Its well drawn out and Park Min Young plays it perfectly, right down to that sweet smile which hides all her worries and troubles.I really liked her acting

When his adoptive father finally has had it with Yoon-sung's interference in his plans to execute the Council of Five, they possibly try to kill each other at the same time. It is not a pretty sight, in fact it's one of the most compelling and mesmerizing scenes in K-drama history. One of the things that make this drama worthwhile are the tension filled fight scenes. Well set and choreographed, the battle sequences are charged and exciting, perfectly displaying our feature character.

Prosecutor Kim Yeong Ju who plays a vital role in this revenge. As a prosecutor he strives hard to catch the corrupted politicians before City Hunter (an alias given by the public to Lee Yoon Seong). But unfortunately he falls short and is always a step behind the mastermind, Yoon Seong. His will and determination to serve Korea justly is commendable.

Another character is Jin Sae Hee, who is a vet and Kim Yeong Ju’s ex-wife. She is played by Hwang Sun Hee, another beauty. She is like an elder sister to Kim Na Na and is very helpful. Throughout the season she shares a cordial relation with Kim Yeong Ju despite their divorce. It gives you hope again and I kept on wishing that they would mend their broken relation. 1 thing I so so so so badly wanted to see/ wished was that they would focus more on Kim Yeong Ju and Jin Sae Hee. Though they were part of the main cast, I feel they didn’t receive as much attention as they should have.

Anyway, all in all, its a very enticing, revenge-scheming, thriller with a dash of romance.

This drama had imprest on the great hit, but this is only "good" story. Good 1st episode, then quite dully to 9. Again very well and the last episode was too weak for me. I don't like the end episode. Decent music, but nothing better. Minho is an average actor, Min Young also, but several persons were good: Lee Joon Hyuk, and also Goo Ha Ra which does not have too large experience. The history has big potential, but according to me this potential became waste.

'City Hunter' got almost everything right. Direction, cast, plot, romance--while the soundtrack was nothing special--it's few shortcomings could be easily overlooked.

The story was engaging throughout every episode, there was always something about it to keep me interested. Nothing about this drama was overly frustrating (most K-Dramas are a little TOO frustrating)--as I always knew that City Hunter would persevere. As Lee Yoon Sung was always somehow one step ahead of everyone who'd get in his way.

The only 'must watch' K Drama out there, I'd say. Although it may not've been the most romantic, cute, or original drama I've seen, it's surely the best all-around. The director of this drama did a more impressive job than most film directors at some points-- Everyone has a favorite, this is mine.

My KDrama addiction started with City Hunter. It’s not a perfect drama but it has a good story, great action, humour and a cute romance. All the characters are likeable and they are well portrayed by all the actors. The pace of the drama is consistent and every episode is thoroughly entertaining. I would highly recommend this drama to anyone who wants more than just a rom-com.

Ah yes, the power of charisma that can only be Lee Min Ho's. Action, drama, romance, you name it, City Hunter has it. The action scenes were great and I'm sure lots of fans out there like me enthused and marveled at how he used a spoon to take out a goon (Oh! That's a rhyme!)

Oh well, but after a while, the daddy issues were increasingly redundant as is the case of keeping his identity a secret to protect the ones he love logic gradually faulty as almost everyone around him knew who he was. And, in the midst of it all, there were these shameless plugs for fast food chicken, social gadgets, heck even a washing machine.

The story broke off to a strong start but the intensity gradually decreased as it ended. To put it mildly, it was NOT the best ending any writer do for a whole series that was so explosive. If the writers wanted to leave this drama open-ended, they failed, and miserably so. I'll leave that for you to find out.

Story - could have been a perfect 10 if there had been closure for the other issues that were left behind
Acting - The cast was awesome! Kim Sang Joong's surrogate father role as Lee Jin Pyo practically owned it. Best villainous conviction with a soft spot for Yoon Sung and let's not forget the ever square Prosecutor Kim!
Music - 10 out of 10. Best part was that instrumental for the underwater hand salute Jin Pyo gives to his partner Moo Yul as he sinks to the bottom of the sea. It's a dang good OST!
Rewatch value - Once is good enough for me.
Overall - it's still a great drama!
