Having lost his father in a fatal shopping mall collapse, Gang Doo is bereft of any will to live and he grudgingly goes on day by day with his mess of a life.
One night, Gang Doo walks down the road with his ailing leg. He gets beaten near to death by a group of men and is cast aside in a deserted back alley. He struggles to get up, but tono avail. Just before he succumbs to darkness, a woman Moon Soo reaches out to him. He regains consciousness only after three whole days with the woman long gone by then.
Gang Doo hears the news that a construction project is due to kick-off at the accident site. As though bewitched, he finds himself visiting the place and getting hired. Fate also reunites Gang Doo and Moon Soo there, where they hovered between life and death twelve years ago. Despite their constant bickering, Gang Doo starts to develop feelings for Moon Soo and this brings a change upon his rough-and-tough character.
Life seems to take a turn for the good, but Gang Doo finds out that the chief of the construction site, Joo Won Seo, is the son of the person responsible for the past accident. In addition, as much as he would like to ignore it, Gang Doo becomes aware that Moon Soo held romantic intentions towards Joo Won.
Meanwhile, Joo Won approaches Gang Doo. By revealing the truth of the fatal incident, Joo Won makes a proposal, which Gang Doo cannot possibly refuse. Hence, the two men embark on an uncomfortable relationship.
Cast & Credits
Seldom can dramas make me feel this frustrated, excited, bubbly all in one episode. That’s what an incredible drama should do with you - completely play with your feelings, make you question certain things. The genre is definitely melodramatic so prepare to feel heart-broken and to weep a whole lot. However, this is also a realistic drama showing the unfortunate lives of two humans and their natural approach to romantic love. Seeing the two characters develop feelings for each other and being connected in the past made my heart oh so weak. I’m a sucker for the main characters to have a bomb chemistry. And oh boy, the lead actors killed it! First, Won Jin Ah is currently one of the most memorable young and starting actresses out there for me. She was so professional with how she transferred her character’s feelings. I have to say, this was my first time seeing Lee Jun Ho’s performance as well and not only is he an amazing actor, but a singer as well. Speaking about music, the OST was so sincere, the songs made such an impact on all of the scenes, and me included. To add, I appreciate that the viewers got to see the different lives and struggles of the supporting characters. Each of them have their own unique story which makes this drama worth rewatching all over again!
(Also, I felt the need to address something as well. Never drop a drama if you’re not sure on how the ending is going to turn out like. The natural progression of the drama, the characters, their developing stories are what make this series worth watching.)
Overall, this drama makes you appreciate life even more and live your life to the fullest every day somehow. I bow down to the creators of this drama for giving me a thrilling rollercoaster ride full of incredible emotions!
Overall, this drama gives you that realisation about life, if what you are doing is making you happy and creating a better you. I cant really write a long review but I would definitely recommend this drama to everyone. It is a MUST WATCH. I really don't think this one is the type to drop or not be interested in.I wouldn't be surprise if Just Between Lovers win awards this year, I am totally rooting for them.
