This was one of THE BEST movies I watched! It started off kind of boring I have to admit, but it got more interesting and suspenseful later on in the movie. I definitely watched this because of Song Joong Ki and boy does he not disappoint in his work! I think he has become my favorite actor now, and Park Bo Young, wow is she amazing! Not only is her voice beautiful but you can tell she puts her all in her work, she made me get so emotional during the movie, and I believe only good actors and actresses can do that. The only reason I didn't give this movie a 10 is because the way they portrayed the "werewolf boy" was more victim-like rather than predator-like, I would've liked it the other way to give him more of that mysterious aura. I loved the plot line! Even though it was only the length of an average movie, its storyline could definitely be compared to a drama. What's even better is the fact that the movie didn't seemed rushed at all, and I love that. Everything was beautiful, I went through every emotion possible during the movie. I would most definitely recommend this movie!

The first thought that came to my mind after I finished this movie was the following 2 things;

1: "Wow that was wonderful"
2: "That was such a simple plot"

Yes this movie doesnt have such a complicated plot but it doesnt mean it wasnt still amazing!

It definitely didnt have the dark tone I was waiting it to have.Sure it was sad and tear-jerking towards the middle but it wasnt that scary.
This is most of the time more romance than supernatural, but the werewolf part of the plot gave this movie a original, unique freshness that we needed in our Korean movies.

This movie was much anticipated and was loved by the viewers and in my opinion it deserves every inch and drop of that love.

My first korean movie i have ever watched and it was an amazing start . This movie had it all fantasy , thriller , ROMANCE , some comedy parts , mother daughter relationship and it was amazing in all of these aspects

The acting skills of the cast was superb especially song joong ki , although he didnt even talk much his facial expressions said it all , i could feel his love , his anger , his saddnes through his eyes without even saying a word . this is the first time i see joong ki and iam glad that i had a chance to see his acting skills

The music was good , didnt stick with me but it was good

The story was very good ( felt alittle bored at some parts but it didnt bother me at all :D ) and i loved the ending by the way

Overall if you havent seen this movie yet go and see it even if you dont like these kind of movies , joong ki will make you fall in love with it ( like i did :D )

I saw the movie purely on the basis of the reviews and ratings. I've never seen any of the lead actors' works before so this wasn't one of those shows or movies that I saw because of a star. And I don't think I'll think of them as actors when I reminisce about this movie in a while, I'll think about them as Soo Ni and Cheol Soo. The supernatural genre of the movie was putting me off a little while I contemplated whether I should watch this or not, as there were a million ways it could go wrong (Exhibit A - Twilight Saga), but I'm happy to say that this movie was one of the best supernatural films I've ever seen. In any language.

You'd think this was a romance between a werewolf and a human, I thought that too. But this movie taught me once and for all that I should never judge a book by it's cover. The love that two people share doesn't always have to be romantic. The bond that was shown between the leads is beautiful in every aspect. I wouldn't say the story of the movie is exactly anything special, no; but the way it was written, the execution, it was heart wrenching.

The actors who've played the leads were probably made for doing these roles, they were that good. Song Joong Ki (I've honestly never seen his work before, which was good in a way, I want to remember him as Cheol Soo) was fantastic. It's indescribable how his performance effected me. I don't mean it as an insult but I was reminded of my pet dog (I love him more than anything in this world, so it's a compliment in a warped way). After watching the movie I can finally understand what all the fuss about Park Bo Young was. She's brilliant. The supporting cast did a great job too.

Like I said before, for me, this wasn't a romantic tale. It went deeper than that. I was reminded of all the unconditional love that is not a myth. You can witness this love every time you come home and find your dog waiting for you, you can feel this love every time you scold your dog but he still wags his tail excitedly when you pet him. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way implying that Soo Yi treated Cheol Soo as a pet, not in the literal sense of the word. They were companions who made each other's lives better without asking for anything in return. I refuse to label it as a romance. It just reminded me of the love I felt for my dog, and me saying this is the highest level of appraisal I can give.

You don't have to agree with my opinion of what this movie was, but you definitely need to watch this movie to find out what it meant for you. Although I'm sure that you'll love it either way. I wouldn't bawl my eyes out and almost choke myself crying if it wasn't worth it.

This is one of the most memorable Korean movie of all time for me. It offers a good balance of humor, thrill and heart. What I like the most is the fact that this movie is not just for the sake of executing a written script.

STORY
As far as I have watched Korean movies, the story is not cliche. Set in the past, it gives the audience a nostalgic feeling. With a lovable heroine and innocent hero, the story was well balanced. The villain is driven by jealousy which is familiar with Korean audience but the way it was executed was excellent (especially the resolution). Some might not like the ending, but I definitely loved it. With the hero's character overcoming all the struggles just to fulfill his promise, it was superb.

ACTING
I love Song Joong Ki. He gave Chul Soo a color no other actor could give. It's not easy to standout in a film with a very few lines yet he managed to do so. Park Bo Young's acting was heartfelt.

REWATCH VALUE
Definitely must re-watch.

Must confess it took me a bit to understand the story, but the director did a good job. There was enough suspense and mystery to keep me watching. Its a bit unbelievable for me, but the story kept itself together and left me thinking that it was time spent well, though I might not want to rewatch it again for the time being.

Male lead did a good job - didn't expect him, with his boyish face and demeanor, to be able to pull this role off, but he did it well. Bit of a sad ending, as was to be expected of these kind of movies, but round of applause for a brave director and actors for exploring this genre of film. This is definitely a different kind of movie from the normal run-of-the-mill type of films that are churned out all the time for the majority of viewers. Try this if you're looking for something different on a rainy day.

I watched this movie mainly for Song Joong Ki, since he is one actor I really like. I have to say that the acting of Park Bo Young and Song Joong Ki is really what made the movie shine for me. However the leading light in the production is Song Joong Ki. He killed the role as Cheol Su and made me tear up with just his actions. He spoke very little in this movie but carried the role out so well. Where can I even begin to describe the amount of cuteness and depth he exibited with this role? As for the music, it was nice and fitting for the scenes. The scenes and cinematography were really nice and natural. The storyline isn't oh-ah amazing as I had expected it to be but it still softly touches the corners of your heart. I wouldn't rewatch this because I can't go through the frustration and agony that I got from it. My only complaint is the pacing of the show. Not that I mind slow, slitherly paced movies, but I struggled to keep my attention because of the how the movie was paced and how the climax took shape. Other than that, good movie with great actors and scenes in naturally-gorgeous locations.

This movie was so amazing. I've never cried so much in my life like I did in the last 20 minutes of this movie. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie and I couldn't help but compare the two. It was like the cartoon movie brought to life for me, but not in a corny way. The main characters went through the hardships and difficulties I feel like would happen if this were somehow real life and you loved a "beast." And that song she sings is so beautiful!

Tragically Perfect

I really don't know exactly where to begin. It was all so perfect yet so horrible! If you're looking for a happy ending TURN BACK! Song Joong nailed his role flawlessly. How little he spoke, he was still able to show so much emotion and it all pulled at my heartstrings. The plot was amazing, until you get to the end. I have a love hate relationship with this movie cause with my common sense I feel like you should never abandon something you love, human or animal. I almost cried but I held it when I realized my frustration with the ending. Wonderful movie none the less and recommend the watch. My re-watch value is the same as watching Titanic...I gotta be in the mood to cry lol

Ending

I love this movie but the ending ticked me off. I like how she met him again as a grandmother but I personally think that they should've met earlier and gotten together rather than Sunyi turning old and marrying someone else. Although the Cheolsu could end up with Sunyi's grand daughter, i still feel like the connection between them wouldn't be as strong since she's not Sunyi herself and doesn't share the same past even though they share the same face. Not sure if im the only one who thinks this way but love the casting! Both my favourite actors :)
