A touching story, but the plot holes are impossible to ignore
This is definitely a touching movie. The bond between the father and his daughter is incredibly emotional, and there are several scenes that genuinely broke my heart. The movie knows exactly how to manipulate your emotions, and honestly, it works. 🥲However, once I stopped crying and started thinking about the actual plot, I realized there are way too many logical holes.
The biggest problem is that so many situations only happen because the characters conveniently behave exactly the way the script needs them to. The whole chain of events leading to the father being imprisoned feels increasingly unbelievable the more you think about it. Some characters make ridiculously questionable decisions, while certain problems could have been solved much more easily if anyone had simply communicated properly.
I also felt that the movie sometimes relies heavily on emotional manipulation to make us overlook the weaknesses in the story. The friendship between the prisoners is heartwarming, and the scenes involving the little girl are undeniably powerful, but some developments feel like they exist purely to make the audience cry rather than because they make sense within the story.
That said, I can’t deny that the movie is effective emotionally. The father-daughter relationship is the heart of the entire film, and the actors do a great job selling those emotional moments. By the end, I was absolutely devastated even while thinking, “Wait… but how does this actually make sense?” 😭
So, great emotional payoff, questionable logic.
I enjoyed the experience, but I probably wouldn’t call it a perfectly written movie. Bring tissues, but leave your brain at the door.

even though this is just a movie but i'm pretty sure that there are many innocent people who are falesely accused.....
well this movies is really so amazing, it will make you laugh so much, and it will make you cry a river.
i kept on crying in the second alf of the movie without stop, even though when a funny scene pop out i laughed so hard while i was crying. i don't know what to sa more, but this was one of the best movies i have ever watched from story to acting to everything

Ce film m’a volé toutes mes larmes... <3
Dès les premières minutes, j’ai senti que ce film allait me marquer au fer rouge 🥺. Mais je n’étais pas prête… "Miracle in Cell No.7" c’est pas juste une histoire, c’est une gifle émotionnelle, ça m'a laissé KO mais avec le cœur rempli d’amour et de colère en même temps ❤️🩹Ryu Seung Ryong… que dire ?!? Cet homme a porté le rôle de sa vie avec cette oeuvre... Son interprétation m’a complètement brisée 💔. Il incarne un père avec un handicap mental qui n’a que son amour pur et infini pour sa fille. Sa douceur, sa naïveté, ses petits gestes innocents… j’avais juste envie de le protéger de ce monde cruel 😭. Ce personnage, c’est littéralement la définition de la tendresse et de l’injustice 🫶🏻
Et puis cette relation père-fille… 🥹 je crois que c’est l’une des plus belles que j’ai jamais vues à l’écran. Leur complicité, leur petit univers rien qu’à eux, leurs câlins maladroits mais tellement vrais… On ressent que pour lui, elle est toute sa vie, et pour elle, il est tout son monde 🫰🏻... Impossible de ne pas pleurer, impossible de ne pas se sentir concernée.
Ce que j’ai adoré aussi, c’est la cellule 🫶🏻. Ces prisonniers qui au début semblent rudes, mais qui finissent par devenir une famille. Chacun trouve sa place dans cette histoire et apporte un souffle de comédie, d’humanité et de solidarité 👍🏻. Les scènes dans la cellule sont pleines de chaleur et d’émotion, et ça rend le contraste avec l’injustice encore plus violent... 🤬
Parce que oui… l’injustice... Tout le film repose sur ce sentiment d’impuissance et de rage qui te prend à la gorge 😭. Tu sais que ce n’est pas juste, tu vois ce qui se passe, mais tu peux rien faire. Et cette fin… ça a été une déchirure... Cruelle, brutale, mais tellement marquante... Tu ne peux pas l’oublier 🙅♀️
L’équilibre entre humour, tendresse et tragédie est une vraie prouesse 👌🏻. Tu ris, tu pleures, tu serres les poings, parfois même tout ça en même temps 😅. C’est une montagne russe émotionnelle dont je suis ressortie vidée mais reconnaissante d’avoir vu un film pareil 👏🏻
En vrai, "Miracle in Cell No.7" c’est une œuvre universelle qui parle d’amour, de famille, de justice et d’humanité. C’est le genre de film qui restera gravé dans mon cœur, auquel je penserai longtemps, mais un conseil, prévoyez la boîte de mouchoirs 😉😂
Un chef-d’œuvre absolu, une masterclass. Un film que je conseil sans hésitation 🌟😭🫶🏻✌🏻
