It was just a recommendation in a youtube shorts and watched it yesterday. I totally loved the movie and story plus actors did a good job in their role. But the only drawback of the whole movie was park shin hye's acting who played the adult version of the kid.
It looked more of her character from "the heirs"
All her scenes made me remeber that character as if she did not come out of that character yet when she portrayed this role.
Even in her monologue scene where she was standing for her father, the scene looked more of her fighting for her love for her boyfriend. She looked more of that poor girl rather than the character she had to play.

Story presentation
Not only about the story of this movie that is so...heart touching but the acting of the cast have made this more effective. The whole crew worked so greatly!!This movie will literally give you the think of 'what if I was there in that place of the little girl or the father?'
Every sec of this movie will show u how a father loves his daughter and all that vibes!
When I first watched this movie I was like, 'no.....no.....this is not fair!'. Really....I cried a lot!
Next time I watched this movie with ma friends and then...I must say....me and my whole friends...(OMG) we cried to the rock bottom!!!!
Guys....get ready to cry for 1or 2 hrs or 24/7!!

PLOT:
Who would have thought that a child can live inside the prison? And who would have thought that a gifted person can be a better father than those who are normal? The story line was really one of a kind. Your tears would just start flowing without you knowing it because the emotion being portrayed by the casts were so real. Though such story is somehow impossible to happen in the real life the lessons learned from the movie was definitely and will always be real. That the father's love will always be beyond our imagination.
ACTING/CAST:
One of the reason why this movie was a hit was all because of its casts. The emotions being portrayed by the actors and actresses are way beyond their acting skills. you would feel the sincerity, with this being said we can conclude that they were already professional actors and actresses. Even the little girl did well. They all gave justice to their respective roles. As what I have said Iv'e watched this movie a long long time ago so I cannot totally recall the scenes that clearly but even up to now I can still recall those amazing scenes which made this movie one of a kind.

REWATCH VALUE:
Well, if somebody would ask me to watch together with him or her I would gladly go. I am that kind of person who deletes the movie or series that I've watched because I don't have a bigger storage. If I were to keep all the series and movies that I've watched maybe I would be needing a very large storage.... hehehehe
OVERALL:
This Movie was a very highly recommended film. If aside from reading this review still you wanted to know it more then watch it yourself.

This was a fabulous movie! It made me angry (the injustice of it all...would the result have been the same if the little girl wasn't the daughter of a powerful man?), it was hard to watch at times (when he first went to prison and he kept getting beat up), it made me laugh (all of the inmates! Each had charms of their own), it warmed my heart (the relationship between Yong Gu and his daughter, as well as their relationship with everyone in the prison, including the guards!), then it broke my heart and dehydrated me (the last 20 minutes).The acting was stellar, especially Ryu Seung Ryong as Yong Gu and Gal So Won as Ye Seung. Yong Gu was such a special character - with his disability, you felt for him when he was trying to come up with words and didn't understand things, but his innocence was what made me love him, as well as his strong, strong love for his daughter. The actor embodied the character completely. The character of Ye Seung was precious. She was innocence personified and everyone that came into contact with her came to love her. She loved her dad completely and embraced the new father figures of the other prisoners and the warden. All of the interactions were so sweet. The awards that both actors received were well-deserved.
The only weak link, for me, was Park Shin Hye. I think an actor less well-known would have been better in this role. Plus, PSH always feels like she's acting to me. I don't feel that she embodies her roles. And when she's yelling and crying, I just feel like she is overacting. She wasn't terrible, but she's just not a favorite of mine. She is beautiful, and the scenes of her outside in the snow were gorgeous.
I held off watching this for so long. If you are on the fence, please watch it. You won't be sorry you did. But don't forget my warning about tissues!

The movie starts out nicely with seeing the father and daughter's warm relationship, then they got into an altercation with someone at a backpack shop. Based on how the father acted, it is not surprising that the man at the shop was mad, however, it's also not hard to see that the father is mentally impaired. Seeing the injustice done to him and knowing he was innocent and that this does, in fact, happen in real life makes it even more emotional. This made me cry my heart out (my puffy red eyes want a break).
This deserves 10 stars but one problem I had with this is why there was no one in his family to help (This has to do with him being mentally impaired). Does the government not have any programs to help families with mental issues? How did he go that long (taking care of himself and daughter) without any help from others? he had the mind of a kid and had to deal with the whole situation alone. I'm probably not even making sense right now because I'm so angry at the whole situation.
All in all, the Story Progression and Acting was top-notch. If you appreciate emotional and sad movies, this was made for you. As someone who only watches Romance shows/movies with Happy endings and does my best to avoid anything sad (although I've attempted to try out some that are emotional), I like it & appreciate it. I consider it to be one of the best movies out there. Try it out and you might like it.

The story was really well written, starting with this character that will frustate you, why? because he is the purest and kind person and you will adore him, yet he becomes falsely accused and you'll become enraged by all the injustice that happens in the world. The way he treats is daughter makes you feel warm inside, in spite of his disability he is the best parent she could have.
As I said the relationship father-daughter will move your feelings but also the friendship of the 7º cell mates, those who will do everything in their power to help him.
The acting was on point. I already new that those actors were great but I really got impressed by Kal So Won acting, for such a young child taking such an emotional role she was amazing, every time she cried she shattered my heart into pieces.
The soundtrack was really good but in some parts I was so immersed on the story that only after some time I would notice it, like if the music was blended in the story.
I had this movie on my plan to watch for a long time and I regret that I haven't seen it sooner.
I don't recall crying so much after seeing a movie or drama, it was like a storm of emotions inside of me and even 5 minutes after the movie I was still crying, so be prepared with a lot of tissues.
It is simultaneously the most beautiful, loving and sad story that I ever seen.

even though this is just a movie but i'm pretty sure that there are many innocent people who are falesely accused.....
well this movies is really so amazing, it will make you laugh so much, and it will make you cry a river.
i kept on crying in the second alf of the movie without stop, even though when a funny scene pop out i laughed so hard while i was crying. i don't know what to sa more, but this was one of the best movies i have ever watched from story to acting to everything
