Kang Dong Won and Park Jung Min will reportedly star in the upcoming historical action film "Jeon, Ran."
Media outlet DongA reported on January 18 that Kang Dong Won and Park Jung Min will be the main leads of the upcoming Netflix original film "Jeon, Ran."
Netflix responded to the reports and stated that nothing is confirmed yet regarding the upcoming film.
Park Jung Min's agency SEM Company also shared their side regarding the casting reports. According to them, the actor is currently reviewing the offer.
Previously, it was reported that Yoo Ah In will lead the upcoming film. There is no official confirmation yet regarding his casting.
"Jeon, Ran" will be the next work of directors Park Chan Wook and Kim Sang Man who also created the films "Midnight FM" and "Girl Scouts."
The upcoming series will tell the story that happened during and after the Imjin War.
"Jeon, Ran" will exclusively premiere on Netflix and it will be produced by director Park Chan Wook.
For 2023, Kang Dong Won is already booked with several upcoming movies. The actor will participate in the new films "The Incident" and "Possession." Last year, he starred in the award-winning movie "Broker" with Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, Bae Doo Na, IU, and Lee Joo Young.
Park Jung Min is also bound to star in several projects this year. He will be joining the upcoming movies "One Win," "Harbin," and "Smugglers." He will also lead the upcoming k-drama "Money Game" with Ryu Joon Yeol, Chun Woo Hee, Park Hae Joon, Bae Sung Woo, and Moon Jung Hee. Last year, Park Jung Min also appeared in several films such as "Life Is But a Dream" and "Decision to Leave." He also made a special cameo appearance in the series "Sh**ting Stars."
