Drama Genre Tards:
Why do the powers that be always insist on classifying dramas that aren't sauguks or action/adventure as Rom Com? What is wrong with Romantic Dramas? Do they think we're simple minded and if they don't describe a romantic drama as "laugh out loud funny" that the audience will turn away? There are so many Korean romantic/slice of life dramas that well...aren't even written to be comedy. There might be some comedic moments but the plot leans more toward the dramatic than comedic and yet every synopsis seems to describe them as Rom-coms. Grrrrr! Me To Flower...NOT a rom com. and that's okay. It's good! It's well written, smart, engaging...but almost not the least bit comedic. There are lighter moments and some funny scenarios but for the most part...very dramatic. Same with Scent of A Woman. Ummm...not a rom com! Please...powers that be..somebody out there. Stop the bullshite! Call a spade a spade and stop treating your audience as stupid. Oh wait, sorry...sometimes they kind of are.
Case in Point: Heartstrings being 5 on the top dramas of 2011 list. Ugh... (/me still not over it)
