ML hates himself and FL learns to love him

I am currently watching "Where stars land", and I have to say, I love the fact that the male lead has a secret/something he is ashamed of about himself (in this case being disabled and having a bionic body). It could be a special ability, a disability, being something else than human (alien, vampire, werewolf, whatever..). And there has to be a romance with a girl that will help him and love him ! If you guys know some dramas with this plot, please tell me !! That would be awesome !! Thank you <3

- My husband oh jakdoo - ML is keeping his birthright and skills due to some tragedy when he was young that he blames himself for
- Pinocchio - ML hid his past because he hated what had happened to his family
- Kingyo Club - ML is introverted due to some scandal that he was not able to come out propertly
- Will it snow for christmas - ML hated his past and background of being a son of a cafe madam
- Suits - ML is ashamed about his mistakes that has banned him from being a lawyer
Disability/disorder
- Kill me Heal me - ML has multiples personality disorder that hates and is scared of himself for
- Can you hear my heart - ML is deaf
- Oh my venus - ML has issues with his leg that makes him hide it from people thinking its a weakness
Special Gift/ability
- I hear your voice - ML can hear peoples voices thus he keeps to himself
- The kodai family (movie) - ML has telepathy that makes him very guarded and afraid of what people might see him as
- Lets fight ghosts - ML can see ghosts, but then FL is also a ghost
A secret identity or a secret being
- Scholar who walks at night - ML is a vampire that seems focused on not living happily but for the cahse of finding the villain vampire
- Nine times travel - ML is a time traveller who ends up kinda hating and regretting after he changed his life as well as the FL's life due to his changing the last

Most of the dramas I'm about to recommend are all oldies from the late 90s / early 2000s, but total goodies that are worth the watch if you're looking for decent plots and heart tugging romance about bad boys turning good with the help of a loving FL.

Lovers - ML is a gangster & technically in a relationship when the FL comes along. She falls for him anyway and supports him through thick and thin, even though he feels he's not good enough for her because of his lifestyle. One of my all time favourite dramas!

Pride - Both the FL and ML suffer from abandonment issues, but the ML seems particularly affected. He carries around a lot of complicated feelings, shame being one of them. FL is pretty scarred too, but on the surface she appears to be coping better than him. They heal and love each other. This drama is amazing!

Cheap Love - ML is a denigrate who recruits women to act in porno flicks. Now if that isn't the most lowlife profession (being only slightly better than a pimp) one can have, then I don't know what is. ML knows he's scum and feels shame. FL loves him anyway, for reasons only she alone - at first - understands. I ended up loving the drama more than I thought I would. However, it unfortunately ends tragically.

I didn't see Always on your list. This is a movie, but matches what you're looking for perfectly. ML is a former boxer with a troubled past he's not very proud of. FL loves him unconditionally anyway. This is a classic and a must watch for all romance lovers.

All About My Mom - this is a family drama with 54 episodes. It's long, but decent. It's about children's relationships with their parents, esp their mothers. The drama features the daily lives of the Lee family & their 3 grown children. The love story of the youngest child was particularly enjoyable for me. It was all about the sweetness and passion of young love. The ML felt insecure about his humble background and the fact that he couldn't catch a break no matter how hard he tried, esp given that his love interest was a spoiled little rich girl. He felt he wasn't good enough for her. However, as far as she was concerned, none of that mattered. She loved him so much she went to great lengths to be with him, even resorting to actions that you don't often see depicted on Korean television. The show is worth the watch just for them!

"The Liar and His Lover"

It's more about a secret and it's a movie. The ML is a tortured artist. Sato Takeru portrayed his character so well. You can see his despair and the bittersweet vibes around him. Highly recommended !

KINGJJ ooh I started watching What's wrong with secretary Kim, but the guy seems very narcissistic on the opposite so I stopped the drama ^^' But I watched 30 but 17 and I loved it, he is way too sweet <3 I'll check the others, thanks :) fanitha I don't know Come and hug me, I'll check, thanks ! What's wrong with secretary Kim is a good drama. Even though ML is really narcissistic at first, it's because he's trying to forget a traumatic experience. FL stops his narcissistic behaviours while helping him forget about his dark past.

+1 to Come and Hug Me | ML's father hurts the FL's family, 'causing ML to feel extreme guilt and lose his sense of worth. This one is a bit slow-paced but the storytelling is superb.
+1 to Kill Me, Heal Me | ML suffers from multiple personality disorder due to a childhood trauma. FL ends up helping him pick up the pieces and heal his wounds.
Lawless Attorney | ML feels guilty over something that involves the FL (don't want to spoil it). They end up helping each other (the romance here is very mature and balanced, which I loved).
Fight For My Way | FL helps ML realize that it's never too late to follow your dreams.
A Beautiful Mind | I don't want to spoil it but this one is very good because there's a twist down the line that'll tear your heart apart. The romance is treated as a side plot, but I still recommend it because of the ML.
Healer | ML has abandonment issues that have lowered his sense of self-worth. He's shut the world out to keep from hurting until he meets the FL.
It's Okay, That's Love | This one is more like both leads help each other heal.
+1 to Just Between Lovers | Both leads suffer from a shared childhood trauma and they both help each other in different ways. Though ML also suffers from feelings of low self-worth.
