Looking for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Philippines recommendations

Hello! 

I was hoping to find recommendations for my first Taiwan, Hong Kong and Philippines dramas and movies (and anything country-specific or region-specific, etc such as web dramas - which I know more as South Korean thing). I was hoping for things that are more to the horror/thriller aspect of things, but I'm open to trying anything. I have a bit of a short attention span so shorter things would be appreciated (such as dramas that are an hour long compared to an hour and fifteen per episode, etc).

There was a ton when I searched via the MDL search aspect and there's so many I have no idea where to start, so I was hoping people might have some recommendations for someone's first drama and movie from each country ^^

I've heard a lot about Pee Mak but I've also heard that's more humorous than horror, what's it like? Thank you for these!!! I'm always down for a movie anyway so I'll probably watch most of these!

I went in with no expectations and its soo good!! It's def not "hide under the covers, sleep with the light on" horror but it does have its jump scare moments. It blended comedy and horror perfectly- I highly recommend it.

I've started watching one movie, I can't remember what it was, I believe it was the same country as Pee Mak and the humour definitely outshone the horror and, I understand comedy in horror, but when it's just a comedy movie with a few jumpscares, it's just not horror, in my opinion at least. Was a little unsure about watching it but definitely looking forward to giving it a go now, thank you ^^

I'll definitely put it in my list of possibilities for first drama ^^ I'm a little careful with what I watch for my firsts because it paves my opinion for the rest of them and my first Thai movie was terrible (defo should have watched Shutter first...) so thank you ^^ Definitely will check it out
