This was my First Thai BL Series. Though it had it's shortcomings, it was still a memorable watch.
Even though the actors were new, they were fairly good. And I liked them. :)

Now, I have seen all the mixed reviews about the series. When I first watched it, the plot felt unique and sweet.  You may have realized that this was my first 'University Moon' series. Hehe

So, I wouldn't call this series bad. This was actually fine and cute.

Binge watched it right after 2Moons. So, I know the first 3 episodes were repetitive. But then what followed was plot for side characters as well. The new actors were good as well.

Now, I'm waiting for 2Moons 3: The Ambassador. That will give this show a closure.

This was definitely the part I liked the most among the three installments. 

Why? 

I guess that was because of War Wanarat. He brought out the character as Mark well and the main couple didn't lack of chemistry.

Now, that this version is getting a full length 16 episodes series, I'm hoping to see more of acting as well as the depth of the plot. 

The four episode length was an injustice to the story which originally is quite long.

Solo-Gui were sweet. Khao-Phuri were really likable...

Halfway through, I had an urge to drop the series, not because I was bored but it was just what I felt. Eventually, I took a break and came back once the series was complete.

I do remember cute moments and that 'running away'. But that's about it. The series was fine but not memorable.

~ Gen Y Review By Me 

Now, if you have seen other reviews, you may have noticed that either they were super good or super bad. I'll be honest here. The show was nowhere near perfect. But it wasn't bad either.

Also, wanting to watch a show for certain people is normal. But only wanting to see them when the series consists of so many more casts and characters is just illogical. 

The plot was fine. The acting wasn't bad. But I hope Season 2 would be better. :)

Also. I have said this many times before and I'll say it again.

-To those many people who ask if Gen Y is a continuation or re-enact of the other show you have watched, NO, it isn't.
-Some of the character's names are indeed similar (not the same), and some casts included are the same. Still, the storyline is entirely different.

In Conclusion, GenY The Series is a stand-alone and has no connection with the other series plot-wise.

P.S. If you haven't watched it yet and are planning to do so, please watch it with a open mind and try not to find it's connection with 2Moons. You will find similarities, but you should undestand that the writer of the GenY novel used the similar names to create her own story and new couples. So, as a viewer and reader, we must respect their choices.

I had been waiting for this show to air since the very start and the wait was worth it. 

Clearly, I loved the series. The actors were great. I'm not just talking about the main leads here. Each of the casts did a great job. The chemistry between the actors were beyond words. 

I was glad to see more than just romance in a show. The ending was just perfect and this show will remain in my memories for a long-long time. ^_^

[I had skipped last few episodes of TT S2. So, the flashback at the start didn't affect me, rather I could roughly guess how season 2 ended.]

Tharn Type is the show I followed since Day 1 of it's release and having watched almost all of its side stories and special, I didn't want to stop just like that.

Coming back to this special episode, I'll be honest, I came for the closure.

This episode wasn't as bad as I heard it was. The flashbacks were fine. After all, it was their journey of all those years. I have no complaints when it comes to actors.

The most awaited wedding was there. The exchange of vows, the house, the guests... It was good to see some of the casts from  Season 1 here.

Still, I wish it was better. After everything, this episode puts an end to the show, so I had expected there to be something I could remember for a long time.

Though from the special episode of season 1, I had already guessed we wouldn't be getting a new OST, I wished they could have added a new verse or something towards the end.

I had expected this to be the best episode in the entire series. It's sad that even with the good shooting site and the wedding, this wasn't up to the par.

I really wanted to write something about each episode. But I don't have much to talk about. Not in a negative way.

The show has six separate episodes with only 20 minutes each. But the actors were well known and the plot was decent. Each episode had it's own charm. 

Also, the storylines were somewhat different than the general ones. And that's one of the reason I decided to watch it.

Story wise, I loved Episode 5 the most. I liked the concept about two pen friends and seeing all those 90s stuffs in the room brought back some nostalgia. Ahh... I miss good old days. :)
