I have to admit that it is really, really, really hard to ignore Nut’s mercurial temper tantrums. Sad past,…
There are exactly 2 distinctive groups of viewers who are watching this drama. - One group who loves every second of it. - And one group who finds the main characters extremely uncomfortable to watch but since 3/4 of the drama is already been watched… might as well finish it.
I have to admit that it is really, really, really hard to ignore Nut’s mercurial temper tantrums. Sad past,…
I am really confused about what exactly the writers were going for… Nut’s character was supposed to grab my attention with all of his realistic human “character’s flaws” and never let go… However, whenever I see his face in a scene; 2 things come to my mind: - Annoyance - And an unmistakable urge to fast forward any scenes from him.
*I am fairly certain that I was not supposed to feel that way.
I'm so exhausted with Nut and his outbursts... at this point Tofu needs to go back into being a bear so he nut…
I have to admit that it is really, really, really hard to ignore Nut’s mercurial temper tantrums. Sad past, painful early teenage experiences, prejudices and a dysfunctional family relationship can not justify his present volatile character to me. Personally, I do not find his character attractive at all. Even when his character is nice, it feels awkward. Dude is a ticking time bomb. *They all need psychological/psychiatric treatments… And I mean ALL OF THEM.
Fyi: You know that you are gradually losing all sorts of interest in a drama; when you check the number of episodes left and exclaim… “Dang! There are still 5 damn episodes to go🥺.”
It's not that Na Sheng is rude to Su Mo, they just don't match. Su Mo is cold and has been treating her coldly…
Indeed, I do agree with you on those subjects. I genuinely hate how most of the Asian cinematographic productions portray the infuriating dynamic between the 2 male love rivals… The second male lead is always unreasonably intrusive, disrespectful, impudent and rather of an a$$. Fortunately in this production, I fully and equally adored both Li Yifeng and Zheng Yecheng‘s characters portrayals. Both characters were in love with the same person; however, they were respectful and courteous with each other. I very much appreciate that kind of dynamic.
The other thing that infuriates me in Asian productions is the romantic affections’s inconsistency most often displays by the female leads. Those scriptwriters, screenwriters and authors love to create main characters (Most often, the female leads…) who thrive on the 2 male love rivals’ interest, attention and affection. The fact is… Those characteristics do not make them attractive. Those make the female leads look unlikable, mercurial, capricious and fickle. Most recent examples: “The Wolf,” “The Rebel Princess” and many more… Also fortunately in this production, Yukee Chen’s female lead character was not portrayed as such. I very much appreciate that, as well.
*I apologize for my extensive ranting😅. Those are really some of my main frustrations with Asian cinematographic productions.

I have not read the novel so no point of reference, there… However, that dramatized production was simply horrendous😠. I really do pity the cast; of course with the exception for the actress who portrayed that irritating Na Sheng’s character.
And as for the so-called “Happy Ending…” That was a joke🤣.

My impression of her character was the complete opposite of yours. Countless times, I had wished that she was the one to perish instead of any other character… ANY! It was a pity that negligent and frustrating wench survived until the end. Really… A sure pity.
Holly Molly! That is a confusing ending. And playing a soulful melody in the background doesn’t make the entire ending any less confusing. NO - It is still very confusing! So the writer was so unresourceful that he or she had to resort on using a Chinese version of the “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End” for the lead couple to meet once a year on the 15th of October…🤦🏽♀️
This entire Xianxia production was painfully undeserving of the well-versed and seasoned cast, selected for the drama… With the exception for that Nasheng’s character… I really did not care at all for the character nor for the actress playing it.
King Taejong (Born Yi Bang-won) is universally known to have killed family members, as well as any internal and external adversaries before and during his reign… However, when they portrayed his character killing villagers and maybe zombies (We will never know) in “Joseon Exorcist;” people were so outraged that they used those scenes as one of the reasons to incite the drama to be removed from the air.
That was really amusing to me because the character in question was Yi Bang-won or Lee Bang-won… The historical figure who is known to have killed a lot of people… A whole lot🤨.
Talking about of an unexpected gem, enclosed in layers of pure gold… This drama deserves a much higher rating. The entire production is worthy to be on the silver-screen. A stunning cinematographic piece.
Fyi: Arthur’s clear improvements were also fully noted (His acting skills got very much sharpen)… Compared to his last fiasco, Legend of Awakening.
ok now i will be super real with u so basically i enjoyed the show i have always been fan of zombie dramas and…
This Kdrama was WOW😮! I simply didn’t expect it to be that good. Best leading couple that I have watched in a Kdrama since… Well, I can’t remember since when. I have always found a lack of consistency in terms of dynamic and equal-status between the 2 main leads in Korean storylines. However not in “Happiness,” they both were equally strong. Great casting, great directing and great editing.
I just wanted it to be longer because I got greedy😅.
I am trying really hard not to dislike that Na Sheng’s character. I just don’t get her character. Yes, she is childish, she is lacking the basic sense of awareness and she is rather annoying at times… However, my main irritation with her is the unclear reason why she is rude to Su Mo. She even has a lot of bias against him. First person to save her life was Su Mo and it has been a recurring scenario, again and again… Also, she is in love with or has some kind of puppy-love infatuation for one of his mermen. Shouldn’t she be more amiable to Su Mo? I don’t understand the writing behind her character. She is not unlikable but she is not likable neither.
*Seriously, whomever wrote, directed and edited this majestic mess should be prohibited from working in the Chinese film industry, again. My only take-away… Li Yifeng looked mighty hot in that role.

How do I respond to a perfect and exact comment?😅
As you stated already, LoA’s production was simply careless.
Like day and night.
AC already had the stage presence down…
Now, everything seems to be heading toward the right direction.
This drama deserves a much higher rating.

Definitely a must rewatch for me.
“More like soap with a BL element.”
We are all different.
I’ll give it a go when I have time.
I actually really enjoyed Alice.
I actually thought that it was pretty good.
(Unpopular opinion)
Well, guess who made 3rd place on my list for…
2022, the year for Thai BL PRICKS?
🤨
