That was a surprise! It was enjoyable and very well executed. The acting was great. The story was great and pretty fresh. I actually couldn't predict a lot of it.

WHEW! Thank goodness! They didn't handle that one situation the way I hoped they would - clearly and firmly - but this has otherwise hit the spot in every way I needed it to. It was surprisingly good for such a short drama. Highly recommended.

I NEEDED to see that manager dude get shut down though. That need is still sitting with me even though the drama just ended. I did not care about seeing him talking to that other chick (clearly an allusion that something may eventually develop between them).

Oh! Also, from those final little scenes it looks like the FL's best friend really did have a crush on the ML though. I'd suspected it before but it seemed pretty obvious when they showed more of her behavior after the FL showed up at his house when she'd gone live with him.

I also would have liked to see the FL talk it out with her best friend since it was he unchecked and unfamiliar feelings of jealousy that had her acting crazy. I'm sure her friend would have understood and that last scene with her also alluded to the same, but it would have been nice to at least spend a minute on that conversation between them. However, I'm good with how they handled it too.

Okay that Manager dude is SERIOUSLY out of line, repeatedly! I've had enough of him. I hope like hell she doesn't end up with his ass. Not once has she indicated any romantic feelings towards his ass whatsoever nor has she even realized his own towards her yet he's acting all possessive and claiming to be her boyfriend to everyone left and right. I hope like hell she doesn't end up with this guy.

I do like that she knew she was being a bitch and acting crazy in regards to her friend and the liver-streamer ML. That's called jealously and insecurity that's not handled well. It's clearly her first time ever having those feelings too so I like that they show her struggling those emotions so strongly. The ML's wishy-washy behavior towards her is the source of her insecurity but she's clearly not mature or confident enough to address it directly with him. I hope they show her work things out with her friend and, even if she and the ML don't end up together, I sincerely hope she DOESN'T end up with that manager guy.

On to watch the rest. I'm midway into ep 7 now.

Haven't watched this yet but wow this was seriously well said and now I finally think I can watch this sometime soon. Extremely insightful feedback. Very, very helpful.

Lee Jong Won acting as the gbf is fucking adorable! He's hot as hell, especially when he smiles. I almost died in ep 5 when he tried convincing her to do the party. Too cute! He's so damn gorgeous. I'm in love with the man. Couldn't care less if he's gay or straight irl.

Oh and Bae In Hyuk. C'mon man! You're killin' me! When I first watched this forever ago I don't think I'd seen him in other dramas yet but I've definitely since. The man is hot as hell and his eyes do serious damage with the looks he gives but lord help me I'm so weak! I have no interest whatsoever in dating ever again but I'll be damned if that confession and the looks he gave while making his confession didn't have me screaming, "yes! yes! YES!" Holy hell!

I'd made a note to myself after watching this last time about the pure hotness of the guys in this cast but I still wasn't prepared on watching it again. It's been too long.

I liked this even more this time around. Friggin LOVE it. Would be in heaven if they did make another season to continue the story.

I find him to be absolutely stunning in XX. Not my first time watching it now but I still find him so damn gorgeous.

Contrary popular opinion here on MDL based on the reviews and comments, this drama really wasn't my style.... which actually felt strange.

The production quality was great. No issues with the acting. Nothing wrong with the visuals and aesthetics. I even like the cast itself.

However, the story and writing (for the most part) were completely not for me. I can't put my finger on it but maybe the writing was too immature for me?? All the push and pull games the leads played before getting together were a turn-off. Also, the way any and all obstacles and challenges thrown at them - be it business-wise or romantically; before AND after the got together (the AFTER being that situation with the FL's "fiance'") were handled were all just terrible, in my opinion. Like I sincerely couldn't follow the rationale for any of the things said, actions taken and decisions made in given scenarios.

It's rare for me to try so hard to connect with a drama but have it fail so utterly, especially when there was so much there to work with. It's literally just the writing and storyline that was a total fail.

What I DID like was how sweet the leads were as a couple once they were together. They were adorable. I even liked the supporting characters themselves. It's literally only the writing itself that sucked big time. Everything else was above average actually.

This show is not made for those with low tolerance dumb people. A few occurrences in the first couple of episodes - fine, just breathe through it and continue. However, we're now on episode 3 and the FL is still an idiot. Could they not weed that aspect of her character out a bit faster for us?

Ooooh! I also forgot about the trashy sister in law. They tried so hard to romanticize her but that woman was dirt. She slept with her boss to get a promotion then didn't once try to stop her brother in law when he kissed her. When he confessed his feelings the next day she had the gall to say that she was happy about it, even if only for a minute (you can't tell me she wasn't leading him on). She was trash. She had also said flat out that he could have had his way with her the night prior if he wanted to. The woman was pure filth. I felt sorry for her actual husband.

I also seriously hate that so many of these dramas portray being 'kind' as allowing oneself to be taken advantage of and even bullied. That's not being 'kind' that's being stupid and weak. They make it seem like this behavior is actually an honorable thing. I hate the message it conveys but I keep seeing it time and again in these dramas.

The ML's response after hearing all her bs (aka trials and tribulations), THAT was kindness. Not her pathetic and self-demeaning behavior.

I know I ended up liking this drama overall in the end but this first episode is difficult to get through. I remember having similar struggles my first time watching this though.

I've watched this once before already but it's been a year or so and I don't remember the story. I'm still on the first episode now and, for the life of me, I STILL cannot understand how or why anyone who had such an important interview AND was warned that any changes to that interview should come directly from HR, would not simply call to confirm the changes she was verbally told by someone else (a co-applicant no less), even if that person was considered to be a friend. In fact, I'd consider no longer pursuing a career with that company if they handled such basic situations with so little professionalism if what she'd been told had turned out to be true. The CEO of your company is telling you that something is wrong about how that's being handled. Even if you're all up on your high horse and want him to apologize, it's YOUR career on the line. The most basic thing she should have done was check to confirm. If the day changed, what about the time. It's not like they wouldn't have had time to send her a change notification before the 19th came. What an exceptional idiot.

Maaaaan! You nailed so much in this post it's crazy. I MISS watching kdramas. They are usually so well done. But you're correct in that's a large part of my struggle. I get soooo invested that it can become draining.

I can't express how perfectly you've depicted everything I've been seeing and feeling. Like, if you could see my reaction you'd probably burst out laughing right now. Mind BLOWN.

I'm so glad I chose to watch this again. I enjoyed it my first time but there were still parts that had frustrated me some. Watching it a second time made me appreciate so much more. I loved our lead couple's relationship. It was beautiful and cute and sweet. The things that irritated me the first time around weren't anything big this time and I was able appreciate how they were handled this time around.

But mainly, the biggest thing was how sweet our couple was. They were adorable.

I remember feeling EXACTLY (and I mean, to a T) the same way you described my first time watching this. I'm just watching it again now and I just got to this portion of the story (at the start of ep 8). This time around it hit me that the reason why the ML took the SML's words to heart possibly may have been because he felt the SML could only have the gall to approach him with something like that because of something the FL must have confided to him??? I genuinely have no basis for that assumption though.

I'm sooooooo so so curious to see if you'll think the same thing if you were to watch this again too. Mainly because the thought hadn't even crossed my mind last time but hit me like lightning this time around. If you're ever up for watching this again and get to that part PLEASE let me know your thoughts!

I literally only watched those scenes a few seconds ago though and I literally don't remember a thing else about what's to come other than having a slight recollection that the SML will attempt to kiss the FL somewhere near a picnic table while she's wearing a yukata at the book fair, where the ML who has to come late after something for work catches them. Maybe my reason for thinking this way is because it gets explained later on and I just don't recall it? I dunno. We'll see...

I just started watching this again (I think it's been like a year since I first saw this) and do you know the ONLY detail I really remembered from the onset was how much it had pissed me off when the SML pulled that shit! I haven't even gotten to it yet so I'm trying to prep myself in advance but my blood is already boiling. Oh lord your post brought my recollection back full blast though.

I remember enjoying the drama overall but I'm NOT looking to seeing that portion of the drama again.
