I literally only just noticed he directed Secret Love Affair too, in addition to Something In the Rain and One Spring Night. Yup. Hands down one of my favorite directors too.

Okay, I'm past all that drama and back to having mad respect for her again after the way she handled the situation with her boyfriend's father. The writers for this drama are exceptional. I've thought this several times already but seriously, I'm impressed.

EP 7: He tried! He tried to give her the time and space she needed and STILL she clings! No. SHE is the problem here. Wow. Anyone who says they're equally at fault is WRONG. They're both at fault, yes. Equally? Hell no!

My third time watching this but it's been some time since the last so I've forgotten the details. Ep. 6. This is where I really began having issues with the FL. She broke up with her boyfriend. She also basically gave the ML the impression that things would begin moving in the direction of them becoming closer. Because of the situation with the boyfriend finding out that the ML and his friend had been in her apartment when they'd been arguing outside, I get that she wanted to de-escalate the situation but reconciliation with her ex was taking it too far. She didn't even correct him when he told her sister they were getting married. Yes we all know he was saying all of that because of his pride but it still shouldn't have been allowed. We also know that he damn well knew he was guilt-tripping her info agreeing to the reconciliation but so did she! Her telling her sister she was confused again too was pure bullshit. At that point, if she were truly confused she should have stopped all contact with the ML and figured things out with her boyfriend first. I also wish the ML would have asked her if they'd reconciled and told her himself that if she was still unsure that he'd be keeping his distance from her until she figured things out once and for all.

Until now, as I was watching, I'd wondered why I hadn't given this a 10 because, despite all of the uncertainty between them thus far I felt the story's progression had been absolute perfection. But the way she handled this situation definitely plays a part in my reduction of points. She broke up with the dude and basically gave the ML a green light before pulling this shit, so while I wish the ML had chosen to take that step back once this happened, I can understand why he was unable to. He told her how hard it had already been for him to keep his distance and that once she took that step towards him he wasn't going to be able to let go easily (when he told her what would happen if she came and found him outside the library that one time) so his reaction makes perfect sense. But boy am I angry with her.

I think what makes me even angrier is that it's obvious that the boyfriend's determination now has NOTHING to do with the FL herself. It's all about not losing to the ML who he considers to be inferior because he has a child. In that conversation he had with his father soon after THAT'S when it became clear that he had zero real feelings for her. Whatever feelings he had in the past were long gone, as were hers. So the fact that she didn't stand firm with the breakup, for me, felt like she added fuel to the fire of making the ML his target. Like, he would have targeted him anyway but because he still had the girl and she still allowed him to feel like he had a chance made it so his approach with the ML could be so much uglier. As far as I'm concerned she treated the ML like dirt.

Do you happen to remember about how far into the drama it is before the leads become a couple? Before I get too much further into it I need to know if this is one of those dramas where they don't ever get together until the very end. 40 episodes is a long time to wait if that's the case.

LMAOOOOOOOO!!!! I'm so dead! Not just because this post is freaking hilarious as hell to read but because it's sooooo true!!!

I'm on the final episode now and while the show hasn't been a perfect ride it's been enjoyable for the most part. However, it just lost MAJOR points with me because of how the FL's mother was handled. She just stood up in front of the press and showed support to the SFL airing out her daughter's dirty laundry for the entire world to see. Even if she believed the video would show the ML cheating on the FL, how could she possibly think it right for that to be done AT A GD PRESS CONFERENCE! That's your daughter!

On top of that she herself should have be publicly humiliated by the press for clearly trying to bring someone in to break up her daughter's relationship. Whether false or not the fact that she was trying to break up a marriage - her DAUGHTER'S marriage - should have caused her to be treated accordingly.

Instead she's just completely let off the hook. Completely. Like literally not a single thing happened. She didn't even really apologize!

I also feel like the SFL's behavior should have been revealed to the public. At least some of it, if not all. The swapping of the room keys, the secret camera in their bedroom...even if they didn't find out how far she took things and saw that final video of her attempting to seduce the ML, there was more than enough to permanently ruin her career. Someone like that clearly won't stop unless forced too. I don't care how much they try to make it look like she would. After everything else she's done we've seen that she always bounces back with another ploy (her name was accurate). Granted, her contract was terminated, yes, but unless word of mouth within the industry will do the trick, she can find ways to bounce back. She's not someone who should be allowed to bounce back as she clearly has no limits. Like, seriously, had the drama had more episodes to fill we KNOW it would have been her back to being up to something again. LOL!

Otherwise the ending was cute. Overall the drama was decent just wish they'd stop letting people who do bad things off the hook so easily.

I've made it to ep. 12 and another issue I have with the ML is he never tries to give the FL any sense of security. She clearly needs it and she makes it known to him but he always ends up making it into a joke or making light of the situation. It's fine to be playful and pick on her and stuff but she's said it to him once already to go easy on her emotions sometimes. Every time he should step up and be straight with her and reassure her he stops short and starts messing around. I don't like it.

Also, I don't understand why it's so hard for her to tell that other asshole doctor that she's not interested in meeting up with him and to keep his distance as it's not appropriate for her to be seen with another guy while she's in a relationship with someone else. Like what the hell? It's HER career that goes down the tank, so why can't she be firm with him about it? That aspect of the writing is so stupid.

I'm enjoying the drama for the most part otherwise but it's starting to get irritating now. I also don't feel like the lead actress is pulling off the role very well. Her acting sucks and it feels like it's a combination of the way the character is written and the way she plays the part that makes it a tad more frustrating to watch than it needs to be. I blame the director too.

UPDATE: I just realized one of the reviews above mentions that the SFL (the actress playing Ploy) did a better job playing her role than the FL actress and, as much as I dislike the character, I have to agree. I also agree that she was very pretty as well, and in some ways prettier. In fact, I just read that entire review (I hadn't before) and I agree with so much of what was said. The FL did a terrible job of properly portraying her character and I blame the director too for thinking what she delivered was good enough to go with. Disappointing. Literally every other role seems to have performed better than the FL.

I'm watching this now (I'm on ep. 7) and I have to disagree with one thing you said. I feel like they're BOTH being cowards. Once the ML realized that he loved her and wanted to marry her like he told her father he should have had the balls to tell her that too. Yes, he made a blase' stupid attempt to tell her once which he knew she'd brush off and not believe (which is exactly what she did) yet he didn't try at all to convince her.

On the other hand she's too much of a coward to even admit to herself that she even likes him. She's a top actress. What kind of crazy lack of self-confidence does she have? All she needs to do is admit she likes him and try her best to get him to fall for her too if she believes he currently doesn't feel the same way. At the very least she knows he doesn't hate her.

So while her cowardice is extra annoying, I'm frustrated with him too. He needs to man the hell up.

Oddly enough I ended up being completely surprised that I didn't get annoyed by the FL's acting. It hit me right away that what she was doing was bringing to life the over-the-top antics of an anime character. Like, literally picture her as an anime character and it would totally make sense. The fact that I was able to literally see that in her acting caught me totally off guard because I don't think I've ever had that happen before (when I hadn't actually seen an anime version of a character first). Normally the type of behavior she exhibited would have driven me batshit crazy otherwise.

Being Christian doesn't mean it's wrong for you to respect or even simply watch others practice their own beliefs.
