Ah the good old "I don't want you two together because I want to protect you from the prejudice you might face"…
In this instance she was genuinely worried about what other people would say and do to them. Especially her father and Tae Sung's father. In the webtoon she had a difficult relationship with her ex husband and father. So she was apprehensive for them.
I really enjoyed the webtoon and I'm enjoying the drama now.
Although they changed many things that would have made the drama more dramatic. I am enjoying this sweet, soft and dreamlike quality it has. Each episode looks so good and I think everyone has done a great job.
Definitely hoping for season 2 with them as adults.
Does anyone think it'd be worth it to get an iQiyi subscription just to watch the 1 hour uncut episodes? I watched…
I watched the 45 minutes & the 1 hour and Imo those deleted scenes for the 1st episode really didn't add much to the story line.
But the extra scenes do add to the transition. When they were on the bridge then in that tunnel I wondered how they got there. The 1 HR shows how they reached the tunnel.
Also the 1 hour might have a little more violence & steamy scenes.
Honestly, I agree with Jin Shu - that couples should have some private time and allow each other to grow individually…
He loved her so much but was scared to voice his opinion, until he just exploded. I'm looking forward to see how they show these too communicating their individual wants and needs in a relationship.
FL is neither aimless nor reckless. On the contrary, the drama starts by showing she is striving to live the life…
My thoughts are a direct comparison between the novel and drama.
In the novel Gu Wei comes from a larger family that has his grandparents, cousins, aunts, niece etc. who they mention and even make appearances in the novel.
Why did they change his and her family relationship to make it seem more dramatic? Obviously we cannot see all the different characters from the novel in the drama because they would need more actors, more time and money. But they could have left their family as being nice and loving people from the 1st introduction. Why must most dramas have drama in the family?
I agree with you too... But I think they want to highlight the big gap between ml and fl... Like FL is now in…
An age gab does not always mean that the younger partner is less mature or experienced. Plus he also has no experience with dating too so why write her character like that?
She is cute, hardworking, loving and is trying to carved out her own path. But I do think they could have done better.

The 1st episode makes the dad seem not nice. Yes many people can say that her dad is just over protective. But Lin Xiao herself highlights her dads behaviour. A stark difference from the novel. It's not to say that he does not love her nor was his behaviour something that many people with strict parents never experienced but that does not mean that those behaviours were always right.
The drama portrays her as been reckless and not very smart (I'm not speaking on academics). Yes musicians are very smart, I'm not saying they aren't. . But why did the writers write her character to be a student that is struggling with her cello to the point that many, from her parents and teachers believe that she cannot play well and even she acknowledges that she doesn't play well and will have to work hard. They could have easily not emphasized how much she is struggling with her music and made her not the greatest cellist but good at least.
I do know she is young and is striving for her own identity and career, but she was not written that way at all in the book. So my thoughts were a direct reflection of those differences.
If we also look at the comments we can see how more people like and Gu Wei verse Lin Xiao in terms of behaviour. Why do most female characters always need to mature, need to learn more , need to find their passion verses their male partners who are almost always more successful and established?
😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😀😀😀
Maybe just like how he was brought back and can remember it happened for them.
This drama just got a little more interesting.
Great background music really sets the tone.

Smh 😨🤔
They would have then adopted a cute baby girl.

Great 1st episode. I was so excited.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like how he looked offended when the mom said "you think Dr. Gu will like your daughter" and him replying "anything is possible" 😂😁😂😁😂
Because in some dramas when the ml pats the FL head it seems as if they are petting an animal or just patronizing.
