Sang Yan Hidden Love is how he is seen by his Sister (Sang Zhi), on the other hand Sang Yan The First Frost is…
Well in that case, all the more reason not to watch because Bai Jing Ting doesn't fit that persona in my mind. Even when portraying the angst of his whole family being torn up and apart, he came across more emotional than cold. I don't see him fitting that vibe either.

I had this on my plan to watch but I don't think I'll be watching this. Victor Ma owned this character in the first version. Facial expressions, attitude, delivery of lines. I think Bai Jing Ting is a decent actor but he's too cutesy for the way I want to see Sang Yan after Hidden Love. Even when BJT plays marital arts etc, he's not a gruff and smartass as Victor Ma. There's just no way I can get into it, I think. I'd be spending my time comparing the roles and not enjoying the story. The stills don't help either.

It's pretty nice! Tho a lot of things could have been done better. The whole murder mystery didn't do it for me.…
Are you really asking how Sol become friends with Tae Sung? She has to make sure things are handle right. She still has to avoid the killer. His dad is the detective that arrest him and gets him in jail during her teen years. She had a crush on him at the same time, well before Sun Jae. How did her brother and BFF win the lottery in the final timeline? Do we really have to waste an entire episode for them to repeat every point she'll have to "recreate" to make Sun Jae safe, in her mind??? Seriously??? You see her jot down the lottery numbers and make a point of, "...next time..." making her BFF's life EASIER with her brother.... She has a relationship with their 2 kids.... was she not going to make sure she's an AUNT in the last timeline??? Please.... I think the idea you need to see the entirety of each timeline from start to finish to understand is on you. It was easy for me to follow, and PDnim didn't have to waste time on 30 episodes to explain it in detail for those who couldn't follow along as easily.

Oh, and BTW, if we take it to the very end.... her grandmother played a role, and we don't really know to what extent... but she remembers everything as well.

Omg just checked ur watchlist....it made me nostalgic with so many old kdramas and i even added 2 new Taiwanese…
I'm watching My Dearest Part 2, and I'm so amazed by Namkoong's acting. I still remember the first drama I saw him in. That was back in 2011 in 'Can You Hear My Heart'... another makjang. The character Namkoong played back then was a little evil shit. He never redeemed himself. That's when I realized makjang is all about letting evil win over good, and evil gets paid with forgiveness while everyone who is innocent is just a patsy.

Dang, the lead actor in that drama was Kim Jae Won, who was a hot commodity back then. You don't see him in anything anymore. The last thing I watched him in was 'Father, I’ll Take Care of You' and I didn't really like it. But I have to pay respect to him and Ha Ji Won. Literally them in the movie '100 Days with Mr. Arrogant', Kang Dong Won 'Duelist', & Uhm Jung Hwa in 'Seducing Mr. Perfect' are what rolled me into an obsession with watching all Korean movies & dramas I could get my hands on. This was before streaming sites. I had to wait for kind folks to translate then post up on YouTube or DailyMotion. It was ridiculous. People nowadays don't realize how pampered and catered to they really are.... hahaha....

I've been watching K-dramas for decades. Back in the day, I've watched, as an example, What Happened in Bali, Delightful Girl, Choon Hyang, Missing You with Yoon Eun Hye, A Hundred Year's Inheritance, Temptation, and a load of other makjang dramas. I've been conditioned to the outlandish, unrealistic storyline from day one, especially when it comes to those surrounding chaebols. It's just the way it is... So, a rom-com based in dark humor is anything but outlandish to me.

I found the 1st episode funny as hell and speed through watching it without feeling like I need to use the FFWD button, like I mostly do with C-Dramas. By the end of episode 1, I want Hyun Woo to get a divorce. Understanding why it's like pulling teeth for him to actually step up to do it, with the makjang watching backdrop of my personality, I knew what he was thinking with her last statement at the end of the episode without much fanfare. I'd expect him to think that way because it's his best solution and he doesn't have to worry about the fallout. lol.

When watching part 1, think "Gone With the Wind". When you do, remember how many times Scarlett married and then you won't be frustrated by this drama. It's essentially the Korean version of it.

So let me get this straight:
"...According to the accusation, the informant said, “Song Ha-yoon was a senior in Grade 3 while I was a junior in Grade 2 and we knew each other. One day, she called me during lunchtime. She told me to come to the playground with a small house. But as soon as I went there, she started hitting me. I didn’t know why I got hit and I still remember that she slapped me for one and a half hours”.
The informant, a male student who got hit by a female student without knowing the reason, couldn’t do anything because the actress’s boyfriend back then was an iljin (a school bully). The informant talked to Song Ha-yoon’s ex-boyfriend. He also remembered the situation in the past and said, “I won’t stop you from reporting it”...."

So some dude let Song Ha Yoon just stand there and hit him for an hour and a half, and he just took it because Song Ha Yoon's boyfriend was a big bully, who wasn't even there? And their school lunchtime is an "hour and a half", and he doesn't have a clue why she was hitting him? She just slapped him, he took it, and neither said a word until a decade or more later... when this dude is living in the USA and randomly watches and sees Song Ha Yoon was his bully?

This is the case she's denying. This dude put this out there to get traction on her other cases of bullying by making it sound like she got transferred from schools due to this incident. It's not true, but it is true in OTHER cases that she got transferred for school violence involving other people.

So, I wonder if there are groups of people who know certain specifics that agree to engage in bribery or to extort money from celebrities? After what happened to Lee Sun Kyun, media, and bribery/extortion, this kind of crap leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Neither side is good in this scenario. The only thing that comes from this BELATE BS is ruined careers, loss of employment, shunned from society, leading to no way to make a living and no way to show your face -- and the obvious suicide afterward. Every time a situation like this arises, all I can think is "....100,304,304 reason why Korea has the highest suicide rate of all Developed Nations...."

I so totally agree. Hyeri's original post stopped short of calling out RJY for cheating on her with HSH. Whether…
All three of the people are shits in this situation.
**Ryu Jun Yeol for pitting two women against themselves and not saying shit to clean it up except for "Oops... my bad, I didn't really want to date her anyway...'

**Hyeri for starting this mess knowing full well how this would play out --- and good for her, she should be happy now -- because it worked.

**Han So Hee for being insecure and worrying what K-Netizens think in the 1st place and feeling like she had to defend herself every single day with timelines etc. The more she did that, the guiltier she looked to them. Did they really want it to be resolved so easily? Not Hyeri or Ryu Jun's fans, that's for sure. They were NEVER gonna believe a word she said or take her side. Instead she, the most innocent in this situation, got the majority of the heat and came off as freaking childish. She's now totally tarnished her reputation in South Korea, and she tops it off with the post-break up letter calling Ryu Jun ugly. Like WTF???

HINT: What every single Korean celebrity needs to do is stay completely off of social media and avoid taking any non-publicity pictures full stop... lest it bite you in the behind later on... And women... if you're dating a man who doesn't want to do it in public, there's a reason... He may just be playing and stringing along a couple other women in the process...BEWARE...Know what you're getting into and how it might end... 😏

Yeah, someone who doesn't harm anyone but themselves, who is obviously struggling with mental health, in a nation that doesn't support mental health, needs to have his career ruined, humiliated, ostracized, and do menial work and live in the corner of society for the rest of their lives... because that'll make it better.... the world will be such a better place....

including for innocents like Lee Sun Kyun who test negative for drugs....

and then wonder why Korea is rated #1 for suicide for all developed nations. That's such a positive stat to be so proud of... don't you think....

Articles like this need to be posted so that the rest of us can bash on K-Netizens and South Korean culture.

Hyeri really did these 2 dirty by being a petty ex-g/f. This is not a "dating scandal". It's 2 SINGLE adults deciding to date each other. Hyeri is the 3rd person in this situation, not Han So Hee. Hyeri knew FULL well what her snide comment was going to do. It's in her apology post which actually comes out and says that she felt hurt. Somehow, after 4 months of not talking and seeing her ex-b/f, who she assumed at some point she'd get back together with, in her own words, she thought he should remain single. Now she's created a flaming pile of shit that K-Netizens want to sniff and eat.

Here's the results:
"...Netizens Re-examine Ryu Jun-yeol’s Qualifications As Environmental Ambassador Following Dating Scandal
After the transit love controversy, Ryu Jun-yeol is now criticized for lacking qualifications as an environmental promotional ambassador..."

So, now 2 grown adults who have done nothing wrong will have their CPs, endorsements, promotions, and film/drama acting work affected because K-Netizens want to crusade on behalf a psycho ex-g/f who cannot let go of her ex after a year of being broken up. The news for me is that K-Netizens will affect my ability to watch actors and actresses in dramas I want merely over some stupid PERSONAL shit that's none of their damn business... being made their business because someone can't put their IG account down and STFU and grow up. Let them all display the pathetic situation. Report on it for all to see how stupid they are and why South Korea is the #1 nation for suicide in the developed world. When you can't even live your life they way you want because K-Netizens want to be your dictator and ruler of morality.. instead of looking in the mirror.... they need to have the mirror forced in their faces.

Hyeri started this... and it wasn't cool.

I remember watching the original miniseries with Richard Chamberlain when I was 11. My dad had the novel in his bookcase. Made me want to read the book, which was actually even better than the miniseries. I'm interested to see how this comes out. The dude playing Lord Toranaga is 1 of the producers.

Hmmm. Busy Schedule??
1) 2 O'Clock Date is a movie was filmed in April, 2022 and has been completed. It's just waiting release.
2) Noryang: Deadly Sea started filming on 6/15/2021 and is just now getting released in December.
3) 6 months ago Kim Seon Ho dropped out of the drama, Haesi's Shinru. This is not listed on Ahn Bo Hyun's filmography. He was offered the part 10/12/23 but it's not official he's taking the part. BTW, the reason that Ahn Bo Hyun got the 2 O'Clock Date role was also because Kim Seon Ho turned the role down. K-netizen, who are known to be super toxic, were pissed Bo Hyun is in Haesi's Shinru because they think he lacks the ability to act in romantic genres. So, he's still 'in talks" for this role, which means, he doesn't have a 'busy schedule' filming it. lol

He's had only 1 CF in 2023 but he did sing a beautiful song for his previous drama: [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jxlh4VCni4k ]

He has been filming the drama chaebol x detective since August...so maybe this schedule didn't suit her after they started dating...but I think the K-Netizens going on and on about the YouTube channels Bo Hyun follows might have played a bigger part. K-Netizens are never happy unless they're dragging others from their happiness and making celebrities so lonely they're suicidal. It's a sick game the so-called 'fans' play....

But he got a bit of publicity out of it. Not sure it was positive... but he did get publicity.

If you're going to donate to a charity, i don't get why you would advertise it unless its for publicity.Edit if…
Are you fucking kidding me???

Do you know how much money was generated for ALS research over the "Bucket Challenge"??? People saw their favorite celebrities doing the challenge and it encouraged them to participate and DONATE as well.

In the end, over 17 million people "BRAGGED" on social media about their donation by pouring a bucket of ice water over their head and then CHALLENGING their friends and family to do the same. It raised $117 million in the USA and ~$220 million worldwide. BRAGGING about your donations opens the eyes of others to CHARITIES that they may or may not have known existed and causes that need to be supported. Word of mouth is part of what social media excels at frankly, and I'm grateful for it, even if YOU think it's self promotion.

When my dad was diagnosed with ALS, he was so HAPPY to tell me and my brother that '...at least it's not genetic..." because that's what was thought and known at the time. He passed away of the disease in 2013, a year BEFORE the 'Bucket Challenge' began. Now, with all the research that the money generated for ALS, a decade later, we know my dad's happy thought is NOT necessarily true. '...An estimated 5 to 10 percent of ALS is familial and caused by mutations in one of several genes...." How long would people believe what my dad did if not for the hundreds of millions of dollars in donations for research those BRAGGERS created??? The more we know, the more we can act to help and prepare for adversity, medical or otherwise.

How insulting for you to condemn this because someone BRAGGED out loud in such a way to enlighten others to a charity that may also need '...the average middle class person...' with a kind heart to look into as well. It's insulting to actually believe that the attention this draw doesn't have an impact on the level of donations average citizens will give knowing a celebrity they admire has donated themselves. PUBLICITY for a CHARITY is NEVER a BAD thing..... just stop.....

Romance in a drama does not equal rom-com. For it to be a rom-com, romance and comedy must be their primary genres.…

Yeah, They also have this great technique as well. They BLOCK you so you not only cannot see their comments but YOUR comments you made to them in a thread. That means that the comment you posted ~11hrs ago to my 1 comment from yesterday, I cannot read at all. So I have no clue what you said to me unfortunately.

The only way for me to see it is if you copy+pasta what you wrote so I can read it. Sorry about that..... lol.

Holy shit. Thank you all for attacking me and telling me that you're using this drama as your friends Feeds section instead of the MDL Feeds section and think this is reddit.

As a binge watcher who has been on MDL since 2015, and lv26 contributor, I find it fascinating that I'm being told how to watch a drama, and use the comments section. I hardly EVER watch a drama and look at the comment sections while it's airing, and being told that this is the way I should do it or tough cookies is so arrogant. Trying to explain to me how things work in YOUR world is also arrogant.

Ask questions? No, I intend to see **others** thoughts and feelings as they watched the drama, in the moment. I'm not going to ask from a pack of drama Group Thinkers for their thoughts and feelings. Now, I understand why no one else bothers to comment of here. The fangirls swarm in and tell everyone who doesn't agree with them, what for, and how things are done ***here***.

Well, you all are right about one thing.... You've all convinced me to just drop this drama and never watch it if this is the group of people that enjoyed this drama.

Have a nice day.

Comments about the show are subjective. Do try watching a few episodes of the drama, if you are hooked, you are…
This goes without saying.
If I want to get in depth about a drama, I'll bother reading several reviews.

However, I prefer to read several small comments posted 'in the moment' indicating ep # for both positive and negative vibes about a drama and each of the reasonings to get an overall flavor of whether the drama's episodes over time will be worth my while. I have a limited number of hours to watch something , and even 1 hr, in between fulltime work, chores, social interactions, etc is 1 hr of my FREE TIME too much to just 'try' something out blind.

Again, I'm putting it on hold until after the new year when things die down, and fresh new viewers come in the comment section to offer their ongoing, while watching the drama, insight into how they feel about the drama.
