I think it was the typical 'I want to find myself and realize my dream because I don't want to rely on you' sort of reason. Hence, she came back when she finally had her own exhibition. Still, I hate stuff like that. Especially for a generally energetic and open person as her, she could have just talked about it, and told him clearly instead of just running away. In my opinion it didn't make sense and I was disappointed by the ending.

I love both of the actors, and I am looking forward to this. I just somewhat hoped they'd stick to age-gaps of 6 or 7 years or so. 11 years is pushing it, at least at such a young age (when you're 60, it doesn't matter that much anymore lol). I am just saying, because I've experienced it in my circle of friends, and it never ends well. Also, because I usually find the chemistry lacking a with such an age gap.

This is why it is so important to 'dissolve' the setting after a scene has been rehearsed or shot, and to separate yourself from your persona. I am not an actress, nor have I ever done method acting, but I once participated in a psychological two -day program, in which we would act out roles we were given, without any script or deeper explanation to who the characters were. We were simply put in a room in special constellations and told briefly which character we incorporated in relation to the main subject. We were supposed to talk about our feelings, how we felt in the spot we were standing in, or how we felt when looking at other characters. To this day, I cannot properly explain what happened and how it is possible, but I experienced the craziest things in that session. At some point, without knowing why, I completely broke down in tears at the gaze of another woman. I couldn't stop crying, I could barely breathe, even though I had been fine just a moment before. In the discussion afterwards, it turned out her character was my character's stepmother, who physically abused her stepdaughter as a child. I did not know that before the session started. The moment I turned around to face that woman, I just broke down. The psychologist that was with us during those days always stressed how important it was at the end of each session, that we return to our own minds, and leave behind whatever feeling we experienced. I bet that it's even more difficult for actors who have crazy schedules and act out the character day by day. I think it should be the agency that has to make sure such things don't happen to their actors. It's a big family, after all, that should look out for each other. I do hope he recovers very soon!

Same, same!! I was stuck on a nine, but then the final episode happened and some things seemed out of place or rushed. I really really want a second season, and some more romance (doesn't even have to be a lot, just some cute scenes lol). I do think the ending sort of called for a second season, so maybe there is hope??

It's been a while since I enjoyed a drama of this genre as much. I do have to agree with some of the comments, the first half of the show was killer, afterwards, while still good, it couldn't keep up with the great start. However, it was still enjoyable after all. The cast did a fantastic job, our leading couple of course, and especially some of the villains. The side characters were a great and fun addition to spice things up. While I don't think a drama of this genre needs to have any romance, I thought their chemistry was off the charts. That's why I was a bit disappointed when their scenes seemed somewhat forced in the second half of the show, compared to the beginning where I could feel sparks flying. Even so, I loved their mutual trust and that I didn't feel like one had the upper hand.
All in all, I would say this drama is the one with the biggest cast of 'strong female characters', which was really nice for a change. I just wished the prosecutor lady had lived up to my expectations from the beginning (she seemed like someone with loads of potential for character growth). Anyway, enough rambling, I definitely recommend this to everyone looking for a good gangster/lawyer/revenge drama with some romance and nice action scenes.

Yeah, you're right about that. But it's not only about understanding the context, more like.... reading a novel that's been translated badly or that has shitty writing. It takes all the fun, in my opinion :(

So, what should I say? I have to put aside my disappointment at the abrupt ending, it's really a shame. Although they did the best they could, it still feels empty and like there is something missing. I am hoping for a fourth season with a closure both of the couples deserve (and the college guys!!). I just hope they don't add unnecessary drama, or worse, change the actors and story again. I haven't seen the first two seasons precisely because of those reasons.

Other than that, though, I must say I loved this show a lot! All the characters, the budding romance, the friendship and bromance, and that beautiful mother-daughter(s) relationship touched me. I must admit, although the show is called 'Let's eat' and the food porn is amazing, sometimes the food scenes seemed to long and I fast forwarded lol
I feel especially happy about how realistic all the characters felt, with their flaws and good traits, their hopes and shattered dreams, and yet never giving up... It is very inspiring in that way, yet also painfully realistic, even more so when you place the college flashbacks next to their lives today.
8/10 because of the rushed ending.

It's a bit ironic that their love didn't flourish because of Goo Dae Young's enlistment and the events that followed after, and now we don't get to see a closure because of the actor's enlistment lol Ironic and sad T__T

I don't really think it's a spoiler, but I am not sure since I haven't seen "Duel". But apparently he plays three different people in that drama, and has been praised for his superb acting. Maybe you should watch that one to decide if he's a worthy actor :)

Honestly, though, I wished they hadn't made Hyung Tae into the typical clingy overreacting male second lead. I thought it was really touching how he cared for her, but as a friend. It just doesn't make any sense. They weren't even dating when she fell into a coma. There was no guarantee that she would ever wake up. I find it unbelievable that he waited for her for 13 years, with romantic feelings involved. I wished they had just let him be a very good and loyal friend. Bummer...

And finally the bomb dropped. Cannot wait for the next episode, omg. So many secrets revealed!
(Also, can I just say how much I love Gong Woo Jin?? I want a man like him, d'awwww)

I've seen Yang Se Yong in three dramas so far. The first one, Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim, I thought the role really suited him. He was very convincing and I was itching to see him in another leading role.
Temperature of love on the other hand, was boring to death. I don't blame it on the actors, because I love the female lead to bits after Another Miss Oh, so it was the production itself that sucked.
Now finally in this show, I think Yang Se Yong finally found his calling. Personally I am loving him in this role. You can clearly see his awkwardness, the way he sometimes slouches his shoulders or sits on his hands, then yet again, his emotional outbursts are really heartfelt as well. And those moments he smiles and shows a moment of maturity are beautiful.
I wouldn't say he's my favorite actor, and he still has things to learn for sure, but I like that he's not one of the typical Korean chaebol- or dreamboat types.

I recommend you watch Time between Dog and Wolf, especially if you're a fan of Lee Joon Gi. Albeit old, it's fantastic! One of the best action/revenge dramas I've seen, and lovely romance on top. I agree with your list, I have to say from all of them 'You're all surrounded' is the least memorable to me. My personal favorite on the list is 'City Hunter', the reason being that it was stellar even back in the day and it left me with too many feelings to even properly explain how much I loved every second of the drama. (Although I wished the kiss scene(s) were a bit less... eh... static lol).

Lawless Attorney - I haven't finished it yet, but I enjoy it so far. Loads of evil plots to uncover. Lee Joon Gi just shines in those kind of roles.

Sadly I have to disagree about the subs. I started watching the first episode, but it's not only about personal pronouns being switched, most of the grammar is so bad that barely anything makes sense. Sure, you can somewhat guess what they're talking about, but that's not the point. I hope some better subs will come around or I'll have to sit this one out :(

I think I have to drop this three episodes before completing it. I loved NSIII from the beginning, the idea of having a robot friend and just how genuinely nice and caring his character was, really touched me. However, I just cannot get over the actual romantic relationship between NSIII and So Bong. Just no. He's is a frigging machine. You can enjoy being with him, you can find comfort with him, but you just CANNOT love him in a romantic way. It defies all reason. I really wished they didn't go down that road, because it's making it impossible for me to enjoy the second half of the show. Too bad...

The latest episode was so pointless. I am getting frustrated with this drama.

I never really liked Chae Soo Bin's acting in romance dramas. I hope she redeems herself with this. Lee Je Hoon ♡

I am on episode 7, and while the criminal cases are very interesting and intriguing, I think the main characters' stories aren't getting enough screen time. The past (Lee Jae Han) shows some strong bonds and touching relationships, but in the future I am like: who are those people? I barely know anything about them. They don't interact with each other enough to get a glimpse into their personalities and there is barely family or friends to give us more depth. Bottom line, I don't feel attached to the characters at all, which is a shame. I hope it improves in the second leg of the drama.

It was my first K-Drama, so I hold it close to my heart. I still think it's one of the best and most memorable. Sucked me right into dramaland.
