There are so. many. things. to love about this drama. I'm always torn about the second season idea, though. There's totally room for a continuation with more adventures - and I really, REALLY think we need to see more of XZ and WYB together in just about any possible way, but... I also really love it as it is.

I remember thinking how intense episode 32 was, then I remember I said the same thing a few more times before the drama was over. I predict that your love for the show will continue to grow. You still have many more incredible episodes to experience - but, yes, you will be sad that there are only 50 of them.

There is definitely a reason that 60% of the people who rated this show gave it a 10. I didn't find it difficult to get into, but I do know that some people aren't used to this genre which can cause some frustration. Like my fellow Untamed fanatics mentioned: watch with an open mind, be patient with the story, and feel free to ask questions. According to the statistics, those who complete the drama are rarely disappointed.

That was an excellent analysis of The Untamed villains. I know we tend to talk a lot about the romance and the love story, but one of the reasons that this show is as successful as it is comes from the fact that the underlying themes really resonate with people. I don't think it's cheesy at all. There are lessons to be learned from the events in the drama that are very applicable to the current times and AvenueX did a fantastic job of explaining it.

The bad news: I've only finished one other drama since I finished The Untamed and I was kind of upset at how unsatisfied I felt afterwards even though it's exactly the sort of drama that used to fulfill my basic drama-watching needs. Drama-wise, I really have no suggestions other than a re-watch.

The good news: There's the novel, the donghua, the manhua, the audio drama, fanfic, fanart, fan movies, behind the scenes videos, and a whole slew of other content related to this fandom.

We do understand your need to talk about your addiction here, though. :) This discussion board is full of enablers.

I can totally see how loving it would happen after the fact. I was super entertained through the whole thing, but after it was over and I could appreciate the drama in its entirety, it hit me pretty hard too.

I can't watch that first scene without tearing up now. And I have a greater appreciation of those earlier episodes when everyone is so innocent.

But all that stuff really happens! At least I put it under a spoiler tag. ;)

I agree with trying to help people understand the drama, but it's kind of weird that someone would create an account (with a join date of Nov. 7 2019) just to rant about one drama, rate it a 2.0 and drop it at episode 35. Methinks that a person who does that sort of thing isn't really interested in the plot. Ah well.

To be fair, that piggyback scene riled all of us up. Just maybe in a different way.

Well.... I'll admit that I'm a bit sensitive. I like it when people type in a normal tone with capitals used sparingly - like at the beginning of sentences, or to show excitement, or use LOLs, OMGs, and whatnot. A whole wall of uppercase makes me think "Dude, calm down! I'm not blind. I can see what you're typing! No need to be so optically loud about it!" *sniffle* My visual emotions get a little hurt when I see capitalized tones used in posts.

Your profile if fine because it's spaced appropriately so as not to be overwhelming and gives a clear indication that excitement is what you are conveying. A wall of angry text in big letters is not quite the same. :)

I saw the thumbnail on Viki and just wanted to watch a costume drama with swords. I really did't expect to be all consumed by it lol. Funny how such an insignificant decision opened up a whole entire world of awesome. XD
