LOL Ya know, I suppose she coulda been a troll with an inferiority complex who had a nefarious plot to bring down a small piece of the fandom out of jealousy and rage which unfortunately backfired and caused the demise of her accounts through the heroic efforts of a moderator who discovered such an evil plan and took action before it spiraled out of control.

But I do like to give people benefit of the doubt. I want to believe she was doing it all out of love for CQL and was just misguided and overzealous.

I guess we'll never know.

Last summer/year was so magical with all the Untamed goodness. This drama page was really one of my happy places. With all the unscrupulous things going on in the world, it really is nice to pop back in and see all these familiar names still here celebrating this beautiful piece of work.

Soooo apparently it's been brought to people's attention that we have the highest number of comments for a drama here, so it's the new metric to beat. From yesterday's conversations it seemed that the drama that had the most comments wins the internetz forever or something.

For a little bit, I suspected that one super-angelic user that stirred up all that conversation yesterday was a secret uberfan of CQL and just wanted to create more buzz for us by writing as many nonsensical posts as possible.

Weirdly, she rage-quit in the middle of a bunch of conversations and deleted her sock puppet accounts. Or perhaps she was kidnapped by those anti-LMH rating-manipulators she kept mumbling about. In the end, I'm still not entirely sure which drama was her favorite since she posted a lot in this comment section as well as the comment section in that other drama. In my heart, I want to believe she was just an eccentric CQL fan who really wanted to help us win the internetz.

She will be missed.

These are not random samples. The bias built into these samples is that of people who have a specific interest in rating a specific drama - please review your understanding of the concept of random sampling.

Now, the interest in rating a drama varies and isn't an accurately measurable thing. In fact, the entire concept of ratings is very fluid and there is nothing that is universally accepted. This is seen in the fact that many different rating sites will have different ratings for the same thing.

For instance:
TKEM rating on IMDB: 8.5
TKEM rating on MDL: 8.1
TKEM rating on Doubon: 7.3
TKEM rating for Google users: 4.8

The audience of each of these rating sites have various factors into how they choose to rate any particular thing. Demographics and how ratings are calculated vary from site to site:
~IMDB users may only be occasional Kdrama watchers so they may rate higher
~Google users may be less sophisticated in their choice of entertainment so they either like something and rate it a five or they don't and rate it a one
~Douban rates by five stars so there are ten points to choose from while MDL ratings go to ten stars with 20 points to choose from.

You really can't simplify it the way you want to by making these numbers exist outside of all other factors. Quantifying anything into how good or not good something may be is not something that is universal. Again, your understanding of numbers is far too simplistic to have a real grasp of what any of it actually means.

You're correct that I am unable to counter your logic because that would require you to build your arguments using logic and... well... we seem to have a disagreement about what logic is and how it works. Hence one of the reasons I resort to humor. My main purpose still remains to entertain myself and anyone else who is inclined to be entertained by my antics here.

Also, I'm here to increase the post count cuz I have goals, ya know.

Oh dear. I think you may have a slight problem with reading comprehension. Or maybe I wasn't clear enough, so let me try again. My remark was that you should feel free to post evidence that the ratings and likes on MDL were fake.

Indeed, the definition of evidence is a body of facts that asserts a belief is valid. However...

You claimed that there was an army of paid Chinese internet users who inflated The Untamed ratings on MDL, but then you cite Douban - an actual Chinese site that the Chinese entertainment industry pays attention to - as factual evidence that the MDL rating is fake. Wouldn't these paid Chinese internet manipulators be better used in pushing the Douban rating higher to prop up the drama? Or are you agreeing with my original assertion that MDL's rating of The Untamed is not important enough to manipulate?

In either case, I've totally forgotten what your original point was...

Right? LOL I've had a lot of time on my hands today so I've just been responding cuz it's entertaining. I had no idea that comment count would actually be a serious topic for anyone or a real goal that would somehow prove something... but I guess there are weirder things out there.

I wandered over to the comments section of that show, then backed away slowly since parts of it reminded me of an incident I experienced years ago. A person promoting a fanfiction set up several sock puppet accounts and started having conversations with themselves to increase the buzz about it. Weirdness and insanity ensued. I'm totally getting those vibes.

Also: I'm pretty sure my check to rate The Untamed got lost in the mail. Next time I'm gonna demand payment through paypal.
