Honestly, it really isn't that bad. Although the guy playing Domyouji wasn't the world's best actor, I think people forget that this is how Domyouji's character is supposed to be, and the most important: it's a Japanese drama. Everything is exaggerated in Japanese dramas. It really wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it was going to be. In fact, I thought everyone's acting was rather natural, especially Uchida Yuki's. I loved her free and rebellious nature. I preferred this Rui over the Korean and new Japanese one. The girl playing Shizuka was beautiful, and spoke flawless English :D
Everyone found him amazing in QF7D whereas his performance during the entire show just made me cringe.. I thought he was very bad and had a few expressions and mimics he kept pasting on his face every time he was mad..
Someone please explain to me why this show is so highly rated ? It was one of the first shows I watched on my kdrama journey, the very year it came out, and I found it very empty and devoid of anything substantial. Is it just because of the leads ? Are all the people who thought this drama deserved an 8 or a 10 fourteen years old ?
Ok wow I can't believe I feel sad and empty 1 day after watching this drama.. I'll admit I wasn't 100% happy with the end, I hate that kind of ending, but I didn't think this drama would leave such a strong impression on me :/ ????????????
I don't understand why y'all were expecting Bu Cheon to become good ????
He isn't good. He's twisted and selfish. Just because he's funny and he's in love with MH he automatically becomes a "good" character ? He ditched the mother of his son to be with a girl he met for power. And then he didn't care enough about his wife to have an affair. Oh, and he killed a guy and pretended he didn't so that Pil Joo would go instead. Nice.
I watched this after watching a bunch of thrillers, just to calm down. It wasn't bad that way. Had I watched it…
my thoughts exactly. I put it on as a background drama every time I was doing something, just to listen and try and guess what they were saying. Since it's romance it's not that hard. I still had to skip many scenes because it was unexpectedly boring and cliché.

I'm genuinely curious and don't mean to offend
