I really enjoyed your article, and this will probably gonna go straight to my watching list. Not that I'm watching all that's there but it's convenient that it can be watched on youtube and viki :D

The first 7-8 episodes were more like a typical detective drama, with some side of weird. During the last three episodes is when it went all SPEC on us. Not complaining, I enjoyed it.
Very 90s (Which I love). Chemistry and fun characters. They could've given moe screentime and dimensions to side characters though.

Do you mean sins in general or suicide as a sin? If it's the latter I agree. Suicide is a complicated and sensitive, even traumatic topic. Someone thinking of suicide won't really care about it being called a "sin" so it's silly to call it as such. But if being called a sin would stop someone to think before killing themselves, then maybe it's worth calling it a sin? Who knows.

I think in many cultures and beliefs, it is viewed as a sin because it'd be too easy to just let people give up their lives? Just thinking out loud.

My enjoyment up to episode 11 could easily go up to 9-9.5 but I don't know... The last episode felt too... convenient? Still a great drama though :D

Hwang Jung Eum can be a hit or miss for me (as I know she is for many) but she was great here. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job in her role. Always keeping a tough front while and nagging her way through people, yet you can see the suffering and pain in her eyes.

I first saw Choi Won Young in Hello Monster and oh was I so impressed. He continues on to impressed here. How can he be so goofy, hurt, and badass at the same time? Looking forward to seeing more of him.

I enjoyed the rest of the cast who, at worst, fit their role, and at best were amazing even when being guests in the drama. Except for one, but can't say if it was the acting of the way the character was written.

You didn’t say an opinion though, you personally attacked someone else’s review. I watched without more than reading the synopsis so the mature content caught me by surprise. And it’s not my thing so I skipped it. Also mature content can mean different things to different people. Anyways you can say how you appreciate mature content and that is a PoV to be respected. But you shouldn’t be judging others based on your standard, because they are entitled to theirs.

This is about portraying the scary world of entertainment, where it seems you have to sell your sole to succeed. And then again success doesn’t really garantee anything. It’s also about what could happen when people are driven to a corner. Also undertone portrayal of sexual harassment, especially in that industry.

Probably my favourite Okada Masaki performance. He should quit the nice guy role and do more complicated ones!

Should've been called Epidemic rather than Pandemic.
Predicted a few things right about facing a pandemic. Especially when it comes to the WHO and such organizations. A predictable story yet still engaging enough.

One thing I had a hard time going passed, how am I supposed to believe the leads are of the same age when in one look I could tell they're a decade apart? Doesn't help Tsumabuki Satoshi looks so much younger than his age. He's adorable though and totally worth watching for him XD

If only they had a better female lead than Fukada Kyoko. She is the worst actress I've seen on screen. Also the luckiest haha

Fun, somewhat predictable, a talented duo with chemistry and playfulness. The ending is a bit off. On one hand, they left the main case somewhat open, on the other hand, thankfully, it was definitive as to what happened during the events 7 years prior to the events of this case. Are they planning a season 2? They didn't leave enough mystery to want a 2nd season though. That is, other than the daily banter between those two haha

This movie got much more through me than I expected. No matter where you are, how small you are, if you do the right thing, you will have an impact. And that impact may do more than you can ever imagine. That doesn't mean you will get the title of hero, but you will know you made the world a better place.

Totally agree with all 4 points. I'd also add love triangles (or squares, pentagons...) not for the presence of it but for having completely unreasonable, or mentally ill second leads (with their actions being portrayed as normal bitchiness).

And also NOBLE IDIOCY!

It was entertaining, eye candy, predictable... The poster suggests a much lighter tone than what we get. It is a light movie overall, but I found the portrayal of the parents to be pretty dark. It wasn't really addressed, just presented. The dad was pretty obvious with his expectations and violence, but I found the mom's passive-aggressive demeanor to be scarier. I wonder if it was intentional.
