He had this resolve of not using his magic anymore, to prove to himself that he'd be fine without it. In his mind he failed to prove it and he feels like he may be dependent on it after all. I think he would have been fine without knowing the ladies thoughts. He wouldn't have known her negative view and would've likely tried one more time regardless to honour the work Kurosawa put into preparing him.

Yeah I already saw multiple alternate storylines adapted as videos and I have no doubt there will be fanfics with a lot of possibilities. I did see one video series that meant to show Kurosawa with magic but its Chinese so not really accesible to international fans. That one just turned around the whole premise though. So Adachi is the one in love and Kurosawa has the magic.

From Tsuges and Adachis telepathy interaction in episode 9 we can gather how it would work and that manipulation of thoughts is possible. Tsuge comfortably talks with Adachi through thoughts and even shows him an image by concentrating on it. In the real world too we can make ourselves concentrate on certain thoughts if we remain calm and collected.
Kurosawas thoughts aren't disingenuous but if he knew Adachi can hear them then it becomes a tool to make Adachi fall in love during the first episodes. If he used that tool to cheat Adachi into loving him and felt no guilt about making Adachi uncomfortable.. That's just against his character.
---What do we know from evidence? Kurosawa will be going back to work and talk with Fujisaki there who likely noticed the breakup from their behaviour. Adachi will be cycling towards Kurosawa with Tsuges bike. Likely after meeting with Tsuge and talking about his problems.
Now theres more.. A new promo picture shows us a bit more evidence. Rokkaku and Fujisaki will be making an appearance in this episode together in casual clothes at night. Furthermore, what are they doing at a rooftop? This drama seems to love rooftops for dramatic scenes.
Now I'm wondering if they'll make Rokkaku figure out the love between Kurosawa and Adachi for the final episode because in the special episode he hasn't figured their relationship out yet. Rokkakus appearance is kinda a wellknown intimacy breaker now so seeing him is always worrisome.
---Some fan speculation, based on pure imagination. So regarding a potential kiss. The chance is obviously still there but I wouldn't be mad if they left it at a very tight embrace. I still think there is a chance though, I mean they basically almost touched lips already.
Now since Rokkaku is confirmed for final episode anyway I would love to see him attempt a final disturbance of Kurosawa and Adachi with Fujisaki just pulling him away. It'd be a funny way to reference the earlier events caused by Rokkaku.
Some (non-MDL) fans have noted that they want the firework rooftop date to work out but while it would be spectacular I am not sure they wanna spend that drama-money on fireworks. It wouldn't be a surprise if a rooftop is featured again though since its a nice place to have some beautiful camera shots with privacy for the characters.
We will likely see very little of Minato and Tsuge this next episode but I have no doubt they'll be featured at least a little bit.

Kurosawa often has selfblaming thoughts. Those seem to make him a really good person but if he was aware that Adachi hears them that means he has been instilling guilt on Adachi on purpose. Would Adachi still have run after Kurosawa in first episodes if he knew that?
He claims that he wants to make Adachi smile but if he has been sending him specific thoughts on purpose that would contradict that. In this case he must've known that his thoughts were uncomfortable to Adachi in the beginning yet kept going. It would destroy the image of the gentle and considerate Kurosawa that we have. So yeah it wouldn't be ideal.
