When Adachi cried I cried also....... I'm hoping for a happy ending because I'm not really mentally prepared if…
if there is no happy ending where they are just happy together again (to me that counts as a happy ending). Then I'll never use this account again. That enough insurance for you? XD Im not lying by the way, thats how much trust I have in the ending.
If I was Kurosawa, I would let Adachi go as well and I would leave Adachi alone until he figures out what he wants.…
Thank you for sharing your inner thoughts. Definitely agreed that its a typical jdrama in its execution. I love jdramas though so nothing has been really offputting to me yet. Yes they love repetition in romance plotlines and late resolvings of conflict. Its just the way things usually go.
In your critique about Adachi I do understand your points but I think the drama chose a more realistic approach. Someone who has been introverted and lacking confidence for 30 years isn't going to suddenly change into a confident social butterfly. Yes Adachi has been glowing with the love of Kurosawa but that doesn't change the way his mind has been working for his entire life.
So with the secret of the magic and his own mindset things just collapsed into this situation. If Adachi had revealed his magic earlier it would've probably been better but it was his anxious mindset that kept prolonging things until they overloaded him. While it may have appeared he was confidently handling things in episodes 9 and 10, in the background he was just prolonging his responsibilities out of fear.
Tsuge had the luck that he didn't really need to think about losing the magic. He just found out it disappeared and was fine with it. Sure he must've suspected it would happen but there was no way of knowing for sure.
What Adachi did in episode 11 was obviously hurtful to Kurosawa and the drama doesn't shy away from showing that. Adachi does apologise and I assume he will apologise again in the final. Adachi currently indeed doesn't want to lose his virginity but has shown to be prepared for it in the past. Kurosawa even notes in ep 11 that its not like Adachi to be this direct but he goes along with it. He too has been fooled by the confident appearance Adachi was showing with the help of his magic. Adachi still held doubts in his head and only if those are cleared away he can be confident inside and outside.
As for Adachis response being dramatic. I liked that they showed him crying because of his guilt and confusion over how to continue. The crying further showed parallels between his situation now and Kurosawas situation 7 years ago in their public image not being their real selves. The crying shows his sincerity and also his emotional state being a mess. I've always praised this show for allowing the guys to be emotionally open and this also goes for Adachi in ep 11 in my view even if the overall situation wasn't positive.
I think the main thing is that we have been waiting for is for Adachi to take a drastic step towards Kurosawa. Even Kurosawa had been waiting for that but it turned out to go wrong in ep 11. IF Adachi makes that drastic step towards Kurosawa then I hold nothing against Adachis character. As the director said, he wants to show Adachi and Kurosawa are humans with faults. Not perfect humans who live without any wrongdoings. Mayby that does make this less of a healing drama but I'm fine with it as long as the ending focuses on Adachis final decision.
During dinner at the end of episode 11, there wasn't much conversation at first because they were both thinking…
Its based on context. In episode 10 Kurosawa made sure Adachi knew the word''reward'' was meant to be a reference to something more intimate. He waited to see Adachis emberrassed face back then.
In episode 11 Kurosawa meant to bring a reward up as a joke if the mood was right. Adachi mindread that and immediately asked about the reward while knowing what it meant to them two. After that Adachi makes sure Kurosawa understands that he knows the intention by carefully wording ''I... don't really know about...that''. Which indicates to Kurosawa that this is about his inexperience with intimacy. Because Adachi is nervous in his wording and expressions. After Kurosawa confirms he knows what Adachi means through saying ''yeah''. Adachi asks about being taught in a very serious manner. Immediately Kurosawa confirms again that he knows what Adachi means and went to him.
So basically in this scene they already had established reward=intimacy and just paid close attention to the other person to relay the rest of the information through their wording and expressions.
If Adachi were gay even before he acquired his magical powers, I would say he owes Kurusawa big time for being…
Not everyone is aware of their exact sexuality, even at the age of 30. Yes some people know 100% they are gay/bi/straight (and so on) from an early age but it can take time to figure out. Adachi probably didn't think it'd be important to consider since he was lacking confidence to enter a relationship before anyway.
Since a lot of people are still sad about episode 11 I'll share Kusakawa (Rokkaku) dancing with his group. He is the guy wearing green with blond hair. Yes in real life he did achieve the dream of dancing for an audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRj74nUrykg Now moments I recommend since its ~40 minutes. 11:40 I know we're with a lot of BL fans here so I think this moment would be of interest. 27:20 Just a fun song with suits with a China-theme 37:10 Is a very sensual song and the chair thing was nice.
If I was Kurosawa, I would let Adachi go as well and I would leave Adachi alone until he figures out what he wants.…
For Kurosawa its back to square one relationship-wise but Adachi is not the same as episode 1. Remember Adachi is the guy who was fine with being ignored by everyone and never getting love. Now Adachi has gained all those things but he's afraid of losing it without his magic.
Ep 1 Adachi didn't see the value of his magic because he didn't see a value in love. Ep 11 Adachi sees incredible value in his magic because he now knows the value of love better.
Yes Adachi did go back into his shell but issues needed to be resolved and we've been informed in the past that this is the automatic response of Adachi to overwhelming emotions. A few weeks of love don't change Adachis core personality. I am sure if he can face Kurosawa with honesty after reconsidering his reliance on magic then he'll be alright.
I’m wishing for a christmas reconciliation something like thishttps://youtube.com/watch?v=6Gh42-wwxRc&feature=shareThis…
Love Hina! So nostalgic, I know of a lot of older anime thanks to certain anime reviewers. I only started with anime (besides pokemon) in 2010 though. This is the christmas anime special I remember most: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKWzFO-s4Pw
