I'm sorry, but will you please explain to me what "makjang" means? I'm a bit dim to get it lol.
"Makjang" dramas are extreme melodramas that have outrageous, over-dramatic and absurd storylines. They are pretty much like soap operas and they usually include e.g. birth secrets, evil stepmothers, amnesia, potential incest/fakecest, adultery, revenge, terminal illnesses, comas, rape, murder, and suicide. But makjang dramas do not all have sad/bad endings with the main character dying - there is an equal chance for it to have a happy ending.
Probably because Lee Je Hoon (Soo Yeon) couldn't be there that day, at least that's what I thought.
I saw a BTS video and pics of that scene on instagram and it was LJH who filmed it and not a stand-in. Which makes their decision to not show his face really weird.
Probably an unpopular opinion but I dropped this drama after 5 episodes. I never warmed up to either of the main characters but what really made me drop it was the violence and abuse. I just cannot see it as forgivable and even root for such a couple to end up together. For me this drama is like a case of Stockholm syndrome of a battered wife.
Next week cannot come quickly enough.
