Jung Woong In was rather underused in this drama...

"Makjang" dramas are extreme melodramas that have outrageous, over-dramatic and absurd storylines. They are pretty much like soap operas and they usually include e.g. birth secrets, evil stepmothers, amnesia, potential incest/fakecest, adultery, revenge, terminal illnesses, comas, rape, murder, and suicide. But makjang dramas do not all have sad/bad endings with the main character dying - there is an equal chance for it to have a happy ending.

I saw a BTS video and pics of that scene on instagram and it was LJH who filmed it and not a stand-in. Which makes their decision to not show his face really weird.

Does anyone know why they did not show his face at the end? I'm confused.

The plot sounds a bit like "Queen of the Ring".

After watching the first 12 episodes I really hope this has a different ending than the comic (as in who she ends up with).

WH's father is despicable beyond words but his mother is not much better either. Poor guy.

It happens at the end of episode 112. HG and HN also get back together in this episode.

For those who want to know when JH finally finds out who her daughter is...

She has not found out yet as of episode 109.

I wish they would tone it down with the twins' over-the-top brattiness. That is pretty much the only minus of the otherwise perfect drama.

This is like the Korean version of Scarecrow and Mrs. King. :D

It's pure fiction. So we have a chance for a happy end :)

minarii probably meant they cut the episode number from 40 to 32 which is really noticeable in this drama as the ending was incredibly rushed. :(

WTF did just happen? After episode 12 what's the point of making a season 3?

Probably an unpopular opinion but I dropped this drama after 5 episodes.
I never warmed up to either of the main characters but what really made me drop it was the violence and abuse. I just cannot see it as forgivable and even root for such a couple to end up together. For me this drama is like a case of Stockholm syndrome of a battered wife.
