I agree with both @oyaji and @trueturquoise 's explanations @Marooya :) I feel these are the explanation for both Seol and Yoojung's actions during the scenes you mentioned.

That "smirk" that he did, I feel like it was more of him winning over yongone and making him out to be a creep infront of his classmates, even though it was yojung who DID send him the message. I feel it was more of a "i won" type of smirk, and not because he harmed seol. That is why he seemed upset when he actually saw all the messages InHa sent to Yongone about Seol.

About MinSoo, Yoojung is the type that he wanted Seol to handle the situation on her own, rather than resolve it for her. That is why after the fight, he told her "you needed to get it out of your system" or something along the lines, like you were frustrated, and I know this will help you, kind of thing. So instead of fighting her battles, he let her do it, so she can feel more accomplished, because she is similar to him in that sense.

I feel Yoojung is a different case, because he isn't "normal" in the head, I don't want to compare him to the NORM, because if we do that, then he becomes very strange, and unforgiving in our eyes. As a CHARACTER, we are starting to see little ripples of what makes him view the world differently than most of us.

Having strict parents, doesn't necessarily make anyone turn psycho, but I feel some people are just wired different than us, they take such advice from their parents, and in their minds, it's twisted in a way to make it feel like they are more of attacks and lack of love and affection. I feel we still haven't seen the whole picture of what really makes yoojung different, but small situations, makes me somewhat understand his (lack of empathy towards others). When he was told by the bullies that they lost his important pen, he knows deep down they are lying, and he is being taken advantage of, yet he brushed it off, because he has been around people like that all his life. it's a very unhealthy society to grow up in, when you are surrounded by people who will use you for their own advantage. And when he starts doing that also for his own advantage, he doesn't feel like it's wrong because everyone around him has been doing it all their lives.

In the most recent episode, even Seol began to understand that point, because she is suffering from Minsoo right now, but Yoojung has been suffering all his life from people who are similar to Minsoo.

I feel there is more to Yoojung's character that we have yet to see :)

I have no doubts in my mind about his sincerity towards loving seol this year. Everything he has done up to dating her, has proven he does love her.

Last year however, is a different story. He didn't like her, and thought she "was like everyone else" he mentioned this point several times to her, and even told her I didn't like you last year. But, unfortunately now his bad deed towards this "annoying person named seol" turned against him, because he ended up falling in love with her. Now he has to pay the consequences for his actions. It makes you realize that sometimes when you do something bad to someone else, you might not realize it, that you can be hurting someone you truly love

I know, this is what bothered me...he gave her the meds, and yet it was inho who bought her more and applied the medicine too :(

Omg yes, I want this too. Because he is such a mystery to us audience, I would love to pick his brain and have him explain his thoughts to us. He has done it before, where he would say "everyone is strange, I'm not strange" and we get to see flashbacks when he was always being taken advantage of, etc.

That specific scene you mentioned, I would love to know why he smirked? Did he smirk because he tricked yongone into thinking that he was the crazy one and he embarrassed him in front of his classmates? I think that sounds like a good reason for that smirk, because Yoojung deliberately sent those messages to yongone, but made yongone look like HE was the crazy one for framing Yoojung, basically Yoojung won the fight

I haven't watched it yet unfortunately, just got home not too long ago, but I'll wait for the subs to come out now, hopefully soon :(

Minsoo is creepy, but if you look at her more, she became creepier once Bora accused her of stealing and copying seol. I love bora for defending her friend, but I think she crossed the line a bit when all minsoo really wanted to do was have lunch with seol :)

Lol I think most of us are still waiting for subs, so technically many haven't watched the episode yet, me included :(
