I think I now I understand why YJ did and is doing what he's doing to Seol. In ep 9 & 10 he was the one who planned…
@Marooya just realized you had responded sorry for the late response. I ACTUALLY agree with your reasoning behind seol's "selfishness" if you will. If looking at this time frame they provided us, seol hasn't really done anything drastic for her friends. I think she has had an impact on inHo, but with her friends in college, what we have seen thus far, we can't conclude any thing selfless from her except the situation when Bora's dead fell ill, she also rushed to the hospital, any I know she fell asleep, etc, but at least she was there for her. I honestly can't think of anymore examples, unless I missed something.
Realistically speaking you are absolutely right. The writer hasn't provided many scenes, where Seoul is comforting her friends or doing much for them.
I don't want to justify her actions as lack of love that she hasn't received from her family. But, not everyone reacts the same. Some people grow up in the worst of circumstances and grow up to be successful kind people, and other times, they can grow up to be criminals. It all depends on how this individual reacts with this situation.
Yoojung also the same, as I stated earlier. It's just that some people are wired differently, so they react and become different people based on the circumstances surrounding their lives.
You have sangchul, he has a loving family, but is he choosing to work hard? No. And I love this drama because of the different personalities shown.
Anyways, I don't think you need to worry if you have offended anyone, lol it's not like anyone wrote the story here. On the contrary, I enjoy such discussions very much, because critical analysis, sheds light on many things many of us can overlook :)
Is his cynicism just the result of a lifetime spent as the guy everyone wants something from, or is Dad’s worry…
@Waitwhat I also believe the exact same thing, I think ultimately he will be more broken and torn because he already lacks LOVE, anything else will be pushing him more into darkness and despair

@@desertbanshee I agree with you, I think she meant it as more of a situation that would occur to could impact him either lightly or negatively. I think if seol actually breaks things with him, he might regree to the worst, BECAUSE no one around him ACTUALLY cares for him
Here's something fun while we all wait around for the next episode: http://www.soompi.com/2016/02/03/old-high-school-photos-of-male-cheese-in-the-trap-cast-resurface/
I know right? I felt sadness that Yoojung didn't have as many scenes, except two throughout the whole episode. I'm hoping that next episodes will be filled with more of their scenes
I've finished episode 7 and I still prefer Yoo Jung over In Ho, although most of the comments say In Ho is better…
Yes exactly guys, it's his subtle difference and uniqueness in comparison to many kdrama leads that makes him truly stand out, and I think this is what makes me in awe of him too :)
Omg!! This is now my favorite drama ever.even though I'm still on episode 5 the feeling I get while watching this…
@marytp19 I'm totally with you on this. The FEELS I have for this drama are so intense, I haven't been this crazy about a drama in a long time, and I love it :)

Omggggggggg ok this has got to be the best thing I saw today :D thanks @desert, you deserve all the hearts now :) ❤❤❤❤ they all look the same, even phj who graduated probably 15yrs ago so looks cool as EVER
Is his cynicism just the result of a lifetime spent as the guy everyone wants something from, or is Dad’s worry about him something deep-seated and potentially disturbing? We’re beginning to see that this is a pattern with Jung—him trying his best to abide by a loved one’s rules, and hurt that they see him as strange no matter how well he abides. Maybe he can’t trust anyone because no one’s ever given him the benefit of the doubt, but hell, I don’t blame them for not being able to trust him fully, not when every flashback reveals another classmate’s comeuppance at his hand. Part of me thinks that if Seol broke things off cleanly, Jung might grow more and attempt to change before returning to her. Though the other part of me fears what might happen if she broke his heart entirely.

Like you said he needs a little love, care, and affection from people who actually care about him, and he will be socially alright
