And I'm so curious as to what Jung sees in Seol! That flashback scene seems to suggest only when the change of…
@Domo and @Kachiiing his point of "obsessing with people to work hard" i believe stems from his own childhood. He told Seol that he needed to "work hard" in order to be recognized by his father, and she also mentioned it to be the same. It's interesting you guys point this scene out, because on the surface it seems they are both confiding in each other's childhood, but there are so many layers to what the meaning behind what is being said truly stands out.

""Seol even she doesn't realize the similarities" is very true. How interesting it would be if it turns out exactly how you guys theorized and Seol also has dark tendencies that no one is really aware as of yet, because she "like Yojung" appear good on the outside until something goes wrong, than you see their different "mask"

I don't understand jung. Is he nice or bad person? At first, i thought that he had Multiple personality hahahaha.…
@Nfs lol you have the same questions we all don't know the answers to :D we have been trying to analyze his character, since he is really hard to read. You can't tell which part of him is the "real" him; the nice guy or bad guy? He does have dark tendencies, and he does many things to make us all doubt what his true motives really are.

Why do i feel like theyre planning to make us fall in love with jungxsul ship then theyll make the major twist…
@DramaDoge omg lol that would be horrible :D and a huge shock so I'll try to forget your comment now lol :P

@Pearl286 I totally agree with you hehe, I feel the chemistry between Jung and Seol more than with In-Ho (friendship vibes) but that would be one crazy plot if it took a turn like what DramaDoge and NFS are saying :D

@Zah lol excited too :D

@pinay0917 I think you will have to try to find TVN broadcasting channel online, I don't think they mentioned before that it airs 11PM Korea time, so you will have to convert it to your time zone :)

I learned new things about him, which makes me appreciate him more. I also discovered him in HEALER, and he was never in the shadows in that drama. A brilliant actor, and a great article indeed. Thanks :)

Yes, maybe he can't manipulate her because she is HIS weak spot? Or maybe she is also another manipulator herself. I don't know anymore lol, my head hurts from thinking :P

Omg really? Just when I thought I might have figured him out, you come back with a punch lol. So now I'm beginning to understand why you were always suspicious of his character. His character is just wow, no words to describe him honestly

@Domo I love where this is going :) and I hope it is like what you thought. That Seol also has dark tendencies too, just like him. It's a new way to observe her character more, that you make me want to go back and rewatch all the episodes from the beginning to see what I might have missed about her.

I always wondered why JooYeon said "you are both the same" as in cruelty. And she has a flashback of how mean Yoojung was when he touched her face and threatened her.

The problem with finding anything wrong with seol, is that we are only seeing the story through her eyes, how she views everyone and makes judgment, we are only left with a small window of perception.

But can you think of another example/scene which could make us doubt her as a character too?

The thing I like in this Drama and what I think that makes this Drama outstanding is the characters. all of the…
@Keren I also love your take on this. The show is too revolved around Yoojung to make us least suspect who Seol truly is. And I think it's all due to how beautifully this story is written. We are looking ONLY through Seol's eyes and making the same judgements, hence our perception of the whole story is flawed.it's brilliant and mysterious to say the least :)

@Sapir that is an interesting way to look at it. I guess we can interpret it differently, since he can be seen as not "REAL" yet we still don't know which side of him is real? Is it the violent side or the nice one?

Defending Yoojung? I feel his biggest flaw (and we all have them right? :P) is that he remains silent as a defense…
Wow I LOVE all these ideas and I'm with you guys on not wanting to discover that all these ideas were only in our heads and he is ACTUALLY a nice person.

I don't think the writers will go this route, because we as audience have witnessed his threats and lack of empathy towards anyone's pain. He himself explained to Seol how she received her scholarship and yet he didn't find anything wrong in what he did to acquire it. I do feel like what @Keren mentioned, he will grow more as a character and learn to have feelings for others.

There are way too many scenes to suggest that he is a bit cruel, different in his mannerisms and how he views the world, to imply he is only "Nice guy"

@Domo I'm LOVING your feedback and scene observation. I think you could be right about there being another reason as to how that hand holding meant for him. He is obviously not a people's person, at least on the surface he is the most popular, rich, and smartest student. But deep within he has such a dark side that only those who came in contact with him knows this about him.

He is so mysterious that I wonder if it's all one big misunderstanding or is he truly an anti-social type of person, who lacks any sympathy to the pain of those around him. I love his character so much, because he is so mind-boggling lol

Defending Yoojung?

I feel his biggest flaw (and we all have them right? :P) is that he remains silent as a defense mechanism to not get hurt. When he sees something wrong, he would rather not do anything about it for fear he might also experience such a pain.

Yoojung's main problem is that he stayed passive (didn't get involved) when InHo's accident happened and also when Seol's stalker dude occurred. (I'm guessing on this since they haven't revealed yet what took place in both scenes) as he tend to be often when he doesn't like the people involved or don't want to have to get his hands dirty.

This is a HUGE flaw (so I won't be too blinded by love for him to admit it) but I feel there is more to him than meets the eyes. Something happened in his childhood to have made him more passive towards pain of others. He could have experienced abandonment, or pain when he was young, and didn't find any comfort or solace in anyone, so he started ignoring other people's pain as well. That's my theory honestly.

:

Yoojung thought Seol and stalker guy were the same kind of people and when stalker kept pestering him he said that (that seol might like him) to get rid of him.

After that Yoojung gave his old phone to Inha and when Inha learnt that Yoojung doesn't like both Seol and stalker it was she who gave all the stalking ideas to that creep (give her gifts, she's just being shy and stuff). Yoojung knew of this but did nothing as he didn't like both parties at that time and he never thought that stalker guy would stalk Seol and it would become that serious.

Yoojung's main responsability is that he stayed passive (didn't get involved) as he tend to be often when he doesn't like the people involved or don't want to have to get his hands dirty.

Order of events :

Fist meeting (beer pouring incident) and bad first impression on both sides

Seol tries to be friendly and Jeong ignores her (Jeong ignore her greeting/kicks her papers/NJY and YeongGoon bully & stalk Seol

Festival preparations comes with the hard working Seol and hand holding scene -->

Jeong changes his impression of Seol and decided to help and pursue her (helps her with scholarship and all)

I believe the drama begins just after the school festival.

(I read this on another site, and thought it makes perfect sense with the order of events, since I was confused about it too)
