Yes the plot twist of him assuming her brother's identity is bizarre but I think that makes it interesting. I am curious how they would continue to live together because society would see them as bro/sis when they are actually lovers. Not to mention incest is a forbidden fantasy for many.
Me likes a wild plot twist that I could never predict. I'm probably in the minority but I loved it LOL. I enjoyed this drama much more than I expected. The leads had great chemistry and their love story was pretty passionate. The fact that they were able to love and accept each other the way was kinda moving. The way the suspense built up was pretty good too. I do wish this was longer because I would have loved to see more of their backstory and psychology.
A slow-paced slice of life film about a young college student and a free-spirited older woman's affair. There's barely any plot as it focuses on the mundanities of everyday life and is as real as it gets in that aspect, with little action / drama. The acting is good, as expected from an A1 cast, who bring out the subtleties and emotions simmering beneath the surface with minimal dialogue. It's a decent one-time watch which is not for everybody. Even for a slice of life lover like me, this was SLOW so you have been warned. I watched it because I love Matsuyama Kenichi and Aoi Yu, and would watch anything with them.
One word on the direction though - looks like this was filmed by a rookie director.. the constant use of wide shots in almost every scene threw me off and slowed down the pace of the film.

I am not one to advocate for murder or suicide but the ending was so fitting. It was PERFECTION and elevated the drama quite a bit. The drama would have gone on for life because none of the 4 of them would let each other go. Soo Jung, Yoo Jung, In Wook and his own family all drove Jae Min insane.
I do wish, though, they spent a few more mins setting up the ending. Like why did Jae Min have a gun? And what did he pay that guy in Bali to do? And why did he shoot Soo Jung when he clearly heard her confess her love for him to In Wook? Did he truly believe that Soo Jung teamed up with In Wook? Too many questions left hanging..
My conclusion - all 4 of them were in love with each other and should have just engaged in a foursome. Soo Jung…
And yes, I hated Jae Min's mother. Like DUDE your son has grown up. Stop babying him, and blaming the girl for your son's mistakes. No wonder Jae Min felt so suffocated; both parents were so extreme. One overly protective and the other an abuser.
My conclusion - all 4 of them were in love with each other and should have just engaged in a foursome. Soo Jung [WORST FEMALE LEAD EVER] used both men and played victim whenever she was caught with either. She loved both but didn't have the guts to choose because she wanted both. In Wook claimed his love for Soo Jung but constantly left her, judged her and went running whenever Yoo Jung needed him. He, too, didn't have the guts to admit he loved both women. Yoo Jung did the same. She loved both men and couldn't digest the fact that both were pining for Soo Jung. They were all unlikeable. The irony is that Jae Min was the only sane character among the four who knew what he wanted, and stood his ground.
All that aside, this drama worked purely because of Jo In Sung as Jae Min. His love, suffocation, jealousy, and yearning was conveyed beautifully. He had great chemistry with Ha Ji Won. It was electric. If only they had a better written story to display their potential. So Ji Sub was so bland in this, it's like the writer did not put any effort into crafting his character. It made me realise for the first time that he's a mediocre actor despite liking his performances in some earlier works. And Park Ye Jin was your typical bitch, who IMO was no different from Ha Ji Won's character except that she owned the bitchiness.
This was a trainwreck, but you can't stop once you start. I enjoyed hating on it while watching HAHA.
