The story is so relatable. Not mine, but my mother's. She has an older sister with mental illness. My aunt is born with it. Since my mother still a child her parents (my maternal grandparents) prepared her for when they pass away. They brought my mother up with an understanding that she will take care of her older sister when the time comes. And it will be a lifetime commitment.
Now, it has been 17 years since my maternal grandparents passed away. Since then, my aunt has been living with us. Her mental maturity is that of 3 year old. She can't talk. She can't understand what we are saying. We communicate with gestures, face expressions and voice tones. My aunt is also a wilful person. When she doesn't agree with something, she cries and shouts and throws a tantrum. The neighbours can hear her.
My mother is often mentally exhausted. In her prayers, she ask for a long live, so that she can take care of her older sister and not burden me, her daughter. Because if she passes before her sister, I will have to take over my mother's role as my aunt's caretaker. My mother doesn't want to burden anyone.
If you haven't watched the 'Making of' Alice in Borderland video and am wondering how they managed to have the…
Thank you for the link. It's similar to how they replicate Shibuya Scramble in 2015's Grasshopper. The difference is they used 100% CG with screens in Alice, while in Grasshopper they used a combination of CG and hand made props to replicate some of the buildings.
I watched this for Tao-chan. But in the end, the whole cast is amazing. It has feels like Gantz live action, and turns out both movies were directed by the same person. Makes sense. Look forward for the next season.
My high-profiled next-to-watch movie is The Promised Neverland. I hope it lives up to its manga and anime fans' expectations.
I don't hate this drama. But I don't like it that much either. Nevertheless, Yu Feng Mu is the best thing happened in it. He is such a selfless man. Sacrificing everything to support the woman he loved, though she probably will never know. I dislike Su You Lian for her ignorance in this.
Also, Li Jun Chen is a gem. I hope to see him in more roles.
I don't usually get a SLS. Yu Feng Mu is the second character in cdrama that makes me feel that way. The first one for me is Li Si Yuan (played by Wang Duo) in Bloody Romance -- as flawed as he is as a character, his heartbroken expression kills me. Every. Time.
Another character that I really like is Long Wei'er. Yu Xin Tong did a job well done here. I would prefer Li Xuan ending up with her, but alas...
I really hate this kind of ending. Kind of expected it, but hoped throughout the episodes that it wouldn't end like this. It was the same with Ouroboros too. I guess there will never be a happy ending for a revenge.
Yokohama Ryusei and Yoshitaka Yuriko. Can't wait! I also want to see how Yokohama is with boxing scenes. He is great with martial arts, so I hope he'd do great too with boxing.
I know a lot of people hate Rui's character. But I really enjoy Nakamura Yurika's performance. She played Rui's twisted character very well. I'm going to watch her other dramas after this.
