Love, love, LOVE this series! Ram/King are so sweet, Mek/Boss is adorable, Thara/Frong have chemistry... which…
I totally agree with you. I love this series and I too, think the other couples are just as you stated. I also think Duen is acting like a ten year old. But, I take a slightly different path than blaming it all on Duen. If we were to give the script writers a "little" credit (and I mean a little, too), Duen said that "his father never let him have any fun." This kind of lends to the idea that Duen was very sheltered and would probably act like a ten year old. Now, as for Bohn??? What's his excuse??? LOL If Duen acts like a ten year old, Bohn acts like an eleven year old! Not much older than Duen.
Until the last episode of this series, I thought the HIStory series were all pretty good. Some were much better than others. But, each had a basic BL love story that kind of went against the normal BL genre, in that the couple was allowed to actually "fall in love". Yeah, it had cliche storylines in which it built mainly on the opposites attract theory. But, most of HIStory's were light-hearted and had the feel good ending. Even when it had a "sort of" sad ending, like in my favorite HIStory, HIStory 3: Trapped, it still left you with a good feeling. This did not do that. Shame on the HIStory production company for doing that!
All I can say is that this series is over. Like many of the comments, I had high hopes at the premise in the beginning. However, as the series moved through its episodes, it also reminded me of "My Tee", where it was interesting in the beginning, but fluttered through the ending episodes. I particularly didn't like Tine's character going from "MR. Chic" to "Mr. Chick." Also, at some point in time, Sarawat's expressionless face needed to change and it really didn't. Although the actors were cute, the story fizzled, and the direction was ALL OVER THE PLACE. That's unfortunate, because it DID start out well, IMO. Now, the only hope I have is this, since it "2gether" reminded me so much of "My Tee," (Mork and Tee) I hope that sometime in the future, after the Covid-19 pandemic, that they will do a special with Tine and Sarawat, similar to Mork and Tee in "Skyy #3," where the production took a mediocre series (at best) and turned it into a pretty darn good special.
This series in general is not terrible, but it does have major issues that are not able to be addressed like they…
Your opinion is valid. But, most movies can complete a story in less than (2) hours. A great story could've been told in (4) ep's , if the director and production team had wanted it so.
I, too still like the series. But, I don't like the way the series has been going since Wat and Tine officially got together. It seems their relationship is becoming just silly and tropish. Now, Tine is going through the jealousy stereotypes. Wat appears to be only out for sex from Tine. And Tine, previously "Mr. Chic," is now going through such emotional ups and downs that would make a person with bipolar depression look sane. Where is the confidence first shown in his character during the first episodes. Granted, falling in love can cause emotional changes, sometimes even to extreme. But really, this is a bit much. I never thought that I'd say this. But, I'm now starting to get bored with this series and waiting for the last episodes to come and go. I strongly hope the ending episodes are much better than these last 3 or 4.
I took the general advice and only watched eps 1-9 and then read the alternate ending instead of watching ep 10,…
Eps 11 - 20 isn't that bad. As indicated in the posts, Yu Xi Gu meets an untimely end in eps 19-20, which changed the whole dynamic of the series. I personally don't think it was necessary to make such a dramatic change in this series, as well as in the rest of the HIStory series. All the previous HIStory series had appropriate endings, most were happy, and a couple was okay. None were as tragic and out of kilter as this one. The producers of these series seemed to show LGBTQ+ relationships in a positive way without the expected stereotypes and tropes constantly found in the BL genre. THe series always gave hope at the end that the leads in the series would be alright, until MODC. Yes, Yu Xi Gu is bullied because he' smart. Yes, Yu Xi Gu looks anorexic. Yes, Xiang Hao Ting and Sun Bo are jerks. And, yes you want to see the bullies get their just desserts in the end. But, if you really watch the first 10 eps, you gradually see the transformations of all the characters leads and secondaries. You find that Yu Xi Gu actually does have a few friends among his bullies. You find that Xiang Hao Ting does actually have heart down deep inside. And you see how enemies can actually become friends and even more when you get past the surface. Everything previously mentioned was the saving grace of the series. Then the show, instead of following the shows of the previous HIStory series, chose to have the ending that it did. That was unfortunate, because the show was destined to make milestones, had the producers and directors simply had the courage.
