I always cringe at the pensive shower scene to be honest. xD I think I agree with the fact that sometimes it comes too unrelated to the story like the stupid product placement.
On the other hand I do not have a problem with nudity (like I believe most Europeans are pretty used to full nude sex scenes on TV) and yes, of course, sex or sexiness sells. I find it more problematic if they forcefully make actors or idols strip on variety shows if they clearly feel uncomfortable with it. I mean I think those idols who show off their bodies during a concert are comfortable with their bodies. And there are also some men on Korean variety shows that show their not so sexy body (like Kim Junho in 2days 1 night). But if they are on some show and it's just randomly requesting people to strip I wouldn't want to watch this. Objectification is the dark side of the fame business after all.
haha I am watching at the moment but only around the middle, so I will not read your spoilers for now. ;)OST is…
haha I am starting to get more invested into Yun Shan and Xiao Fengmin's relationship. Long Wei Er is definitely an interesting character, but I don't want to have her added into Li Xuan's followers..like I am pretty sure he made it clear he only loves one woman. Also this will just get messy once all of their identities get exposed. >_<
It's not like I'm a fan of Xu kai, it's probably because his acting hasn't caught my attention yet. I'm guessing,…
I kind of see what you mean because in this one he has a quite similar character to Arsenal Military Academy, even doing similar expressions (like his signature apple eating), but in The Legends his character was very different. I have only watched these 3 drama with him so far, so I can only judge by these. Personally I think he could develop into a great actor if given more different characters. He seems to be better suited for emotional characters, I saw him on youtube in this show which is like a casting show about acting (I think it was called 演技派 ) and he was a guest actor/judge, he brought so much feeling into a one minute scene I was quite surprised. I am looking forward to see more roles, but I don't think I will check out all of his dramas.

oh so far I enjoyed the silliness and some of the fight scenes were awesome. I loved the little monk with the huge yes. haha now that the angst is coming I am afraid I might skip a few scenes... I mean why did they have to bring in the stupid forced fiancé trope? But I do hope there will be more cool fight scenes.
This page is so quiet, is anyone else watching this. Im just going to write something i like about this show.…
haha I am watching at the moment but only around the middle, so I will not read your spoilers for now. ;) OST is great - one of the few drama where I don't skip the intro and ending! I am mainly watching for the visuals, I especially like their clothes, and because I wanted to see main couple as a couple after watching Arsenal Military Academy. ^^
Kind of cliché story about Japanese office life and will they every get over that whole every episode has a lesson trope?... BUT every single roundhouse kick was worth it. xD like okay I could've watched a compilation of Nanao kicking people in the face, but it would have been way less meaningful.
"If you like American Idol on steroids" hahaha love your article and not only because of this part! I first found out about Wang Yi Bo cause one of my Chinese friends really loves him - I think I like him for the same reason - for just being refreshing and real. but I honestly feel so bad for anyone who has to interview him, he is too honest and he can only get away with it because he is so talented and beautiful. ^^°
Thank you for commenting :)I’m glad you are getting into her work. The Legends, Arsenal and Lucky all came out…
I started watching and couldn't stop. xD but actually I skipped a lot of scenes. I enjoy the story, I am just not that interested in the patriotic pathos and 'all Japanese are evil'-narrative. maybe it's because I am German and never learned to be patriotic, I do know the Japanese did a lot of terrible things in China, but carrying on the hate for generations does not help.
waa~ thanks for the article! Bai Lu is an absolute girl crush! I first saw her in Lucky's First Love and really enjoyed it. Now I am watching Legends mainly because of her, but I am wondering if I should watch Arsenal Military Academy, because of the time setting and overall military theme. Is it really worth watching?
hahaha I can relate so much. for me it's the 'on-hold'-list that's growing into unhealthy proportions. I always tell myself I'll get back to them - truth is some of them I haven't watched in YEARS! I think we should just be honest with ourselves and do the Marie Kondo: If it doesn't spark joy, just drop it. xD

Great article! I can feel how much you enjoyed the drama. :D You know I have been contemplating whether I should watch this for about a year now, but I am like you most of the time, too many episodes and I'm out. Now I think I might finally give it a try. :)
Not exactly but it kind of reminds me of Warm Bodies. I'm looking forward to it as it sounds interesting :) And…
me too I hate zombie movies, never watched 'The Walking Dead'! but I love when they take a comedy approach like 'Shaun of the dead' and 'Warm Bodies' was a fun movie, too. though I hope this will not lead to a romantic plot, cause after all a zombie is still a corpse. ^^°
I want to watch it, but I'm SO scared of the 50 ep commitment
same here! I usually avoid drama with more than 20 Episodes. but it was very enjoyable, I still recommend reading the novel first, cause then you might understand it better.
hey~ I am late to the party, but here I am. :D I considered watching last year when it came out, but then this kind of drama is not my taste normally. Despite it being 50 episodes I still felt it was very worth every minute, though I am glad I decided to read the novel first. Many things are easier to understand cause it's explained in much more detail and then of course the love story part is just so beautiful. And now I'm off to watch the special edition ~ lol
