XW is so progressive with his thinking and teaching. During the Coming of Age ceremony, he intentionally removes "being filial as a son and respectful to elders" in the speech given to Yan Li because it's all BS. Given his background as a son who was forsaken by his own father, there is no need to be filial, and respect has to be earned. He stresses to be upright, true to self, and loyal. Apart from the ceremony, he advocates for the ladies to be taught in politics and other practical teaching other than etiquettes. Love this character!
I might be missing something here. Why does Xiewei wanna rebel against the current emperor? The emperor seemed…
Based on the speech he delivered to Yan Li during the Coming of Age ceremony, he removed a few lines, but kept the "be loyal" part, I strongly believe he's siding with the Emperor deep down. He's only pretending to be working for Lord JingNan, but we have yet to find out the whole truth of his intention.
Same here. I have 3 dramas slotted for 2023, but sadly I don't think they will be airing anymore due to leads being cancelled or in trouble with the CCP.
since novel never had the "modern era" i doubt the ending will actually be changed, based on all the bts it's…
I think the scriptwriter/creator will make some adjustments to wrap up the real world aspect of the show. It's just not as satisfying if it ends only in the "story-world." I would like JXN, the author of the story, to also have a happy ending in the real world. Many times, Cdramas don't adapt 100% to the novel. I hope there is some wiggle room here.
Wonderland of Love is on my plate along with a few other "watchable" dramas at the moment. Got to admit they don't bring the same level of excitement as SoKP. =). Hope you're enjoying the show as much as I do!
Let's speculate what are some of the real life outcomes for JXN as an author when this is over. Is there a Xie Wei in her real life or will she meet the ideal "him" on a coffee run? hmmm....thoughts?
