this one is hard to watch. I find myself staring at Lee Jun Ki and totally stop reading the subtitles. he is darn…
omg same, I kept thinking, "Was he always this good looking?" I think his style in this drama is his best so far ><

Do you know if there are any ENG subs?
I only see a few episodes with English sub on youtube from the first season :(
I was watching it without subs.

I still don't get why it's called lovely swords girl? anyone? she only used a sword once and she wasn't really…
I agree. The Chinese title translated more literally is like Love in Jianghu (jianghu is martial arts society). Guess they wanted a prettier translation but it doesn't make sense haha

does anyone know what ended up happening to the authors fight with her publication company? I'm wondering how they are making this into a drama if the author couldnt even continue updating bc of that whole fiasco.. I'd also really like to read the end of the manhua before this comes out T-T

I think the comment section is so divided, either you love and think this is the best drama ever or you hate it…
I never really noticed that until everyone started commenting how interesting the comment section is lol.
I'm actually in between, like it definitely wasn't perfect but I didn't feel like it was a waste of my time. It's maybe worth watching or even just skimming through for plot points and some nice acting honestly. To describe it simply, it was just OK lolol

the pacing of this drama is just great honestly. the progression of miao yu and wang chen's relationship is completely realistic from enemies, to friends, and finally to lovers!
this isn't the typical "BAM I love you" romance but more of a slow burn romance where we can clearly see the characters inching closer and most importantly supporting one another. I have to say, Miao yu and Wang chen are the most well matched characters I've seen in a while ><
I recommend this if you're looking for something light yet rich with character development :)

I started the first episode while cleaning my house, then it took me a whole day to keep going at it but when I did I ended up binging it all. hmm, I'd say this is worth watching for the plot, cast, and fiction if you aren't super nitpicky, but there are definitely some questionable moments with the emotional aspect of the drama..

1 would be that I didn't understand how she even started liking him. it was like her feelings just spontaneously developed at one moment. 2 would be her weepiness everytime they reunited lmao but honestly I just laughed at the cringe and moved on.

1 main thing I loved in this was the doppleganger theory where only one can survive so the other must die. I randomly saw it explained before in HxH (have yet to watch tht series) and it was cool seeing it applied here as well.
EDIT: Forgot to mention but I also really loved the duality of the cast when acting as 2 different characters. Very skillful acting from woo do hwan and kim go eun :)

I was thinking this sounds hella familiar and realized it's because its an adaptation of akuma de sourou ahaha. I'm gonna try this despite it being an old drama since I loved the manga and the comments on this seem not too bad.

6.5/10 it started off ok and then it was like wtf the logic of the story just didnt make much sense but tbh tht just made me laugh bc it was getting so nonsensical.

what i meant by upping the rating for the ending was simply bc it made me cry (which i didn't think i would). probably bc i shipped hongshuo and hongyi ;(
but ig the last moments were kinda abrupt and rushed compared to the rest of the episodes so ehh.

gave it a 7.5 instead of 7.0 bc of the ending. the drama dragged out for way too long imo (i was getting a bit bored in the middle and had to put it on 2x speed). think they could've made this more enjoyable for everyone if it was at most 30 episodes instead but o well. I think my favorite part was the beginning before shit went down and then the end basically lmao.

I really like Wu Lei, but yeah for this role I feel like Qu Chuxiao would've been better. Seeing him next to Dilireba…
i am getting that feeling too.. also since ive read the manhua the last person i expected to get the role of ashina sun is wu lei since he looks more of the boyish type (hope thats not offensive or anything, 20 is actually still pretty young, go youth!). I also never rlly imagined dilraba as li changge but i guess i can go with it

looking at the trailer, this gives me movie vibes bc they put much more effort into the cgi, but surprised to see it's a drama :o
