I have to say till the end I was thinking the fantasy element will kick in and he's gonna be cancer free but nothing. Now that I think about it it doesn't really bother me. The most important part in all of the drama was the conversation between KC and GS when he told him the miracle was meeting everyone and the love from everyone etc and it's true knowing there are people who love you, who will change your fate when you meet them, who'll go to the end with you.
So I started this on a whim and didn't have any expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. There's something about it that makes it good and worth a watch. I do have my issues with it. It builds well to about ep 12 and then it falls flat to rise again in the last ep. Also Like many dramas it's a tad long (it could've been a 16-17 ep). The drama is a mix of many elements which what makes it unique and quite untraditional. I can't decide what's my take on the fantasy aspect. Was it to give him another chance in life? but being sick adds to the unfairness and kinda miserable life so I'm not sure how's that a compensation. Also I'd say there are many people who went through life being wronged and never had any kind of justice or 2nd chances. I feel there could've been a more expansion on Gook Soo was he originally an angle or did his mother death make him like that? Many times he did seem crazy and was making things up. He was childish and many of his advices were outright wrong. I honestly don't know how to feel about him. But I know I like him there's an earnestness (?) to him.
Regardless the acting is just amazing. Truly wonderful. The writing was good w/ moments where you want to laugh and cry at the same time.
I would say it's not an easy digest but give it a try if you have time. It won't fit everyone's taste so watch the 1st ep and gauge your feelings and know that weirdness is part of its charm.
The movie has its merits. There were several things I didn't like about it starting with the fact she became fair suddenly. and that supposedly made her more attractive. I don't get why confirming to the standard beauty of societies is an ok message to others. Also why not say anything from the beginning and spare yourselves the drama? of course there wouldn't be a movie <.<
Anyway it's a still cute movie about school romance. Give it a try it will be to the liking of many.
"Because the society in general does not tolerate strong women who know what they want – be it in terms of career, personal choices or relationships." Can I have this on a banner pinned up high so everyone can see it? D:
For Itazura na Kiss I remember liking the manga a lot when i was younger, however slowly the more I saw different versions of it the more I hated Ire for his insensitive and degrading remarks.
I find the tech used are very old and unadvanced! Am I too used to american crime shows? I mean they seem such…
I do realize that. Still the show lacked in the detective department on many levels. At the same time it's more about the comedy and I did enjoy it regardless.
I wonder if human emotions of love are easily swayed. I never thought of "true love" as something that exist but it became such an integral part of dramas and tv that we know it exist there. However in this one, emotions seems to be flying everywhere and I felt confused since it doesn't follow the pattern. We love predictability so when something doesn't follow our fashion we feel frustrated. In spite of liking repetition we get board easily. Same with love, you like someone but do you like them forever? don't feeling fade over time? IDK
I can't say I enjoyed it (I did feel the frustration for the fickle attitude) but I think it might be closer to reality.
