watched this while back and came across it again today and felt the need to leave a review. This is a good drama to watch. It has sad moments that make you tear up but its totally worth it.
All the characters in this drama are a mess from start to mother freaking finish lol. I couldn't help thinking every episode that all her problems would be solved if she would just quit her job.
And in the second half where they retold the entire story but from his perspective....soooo unnecessary.
The beginning of this drama is like the 14th episode of a Kdrama.lmaoo...somebody said it takes 12 epsiodes in a Kdrama just to get a hug and in the first episode of this you're already getting hugs and full blown kisses...If you're accustomed to Kdramas and to an extent Cdramas. This will leave you like straight up confused in the first epsiode lol
This is my second time rewatching this drama and when I first watched it my reaction was the same lol (I was not accustomed to the pace in which Jdramas move). I was convinced there was a catch but no...that's just Jdramas...fast paced and heavy on the kisses and implied sex scenes. Love it! . The drama is mostly light but sort of R rated with sexual tension and innuendos... I'd still recommend if you just want to see some sexy romance.
I absolutely adore Zhao Lu. Every drama I've seen her in so far has made me laugh so much. I've never watched a drama with her where I hated the character she played.
I did like this drama especially in the initial episodes when we see Wei Young being badass with her smartness but after a while in the later episodes, it really begins to drag. Its like one tragedy after a next befalls her with no purpose. Yes, she's still smart but it never benefits her in the later episodes. It's ridiculous. And the male lead...one word...WEAK!...
I really tried to like it but damn The FL was a dummy from start to finish. And it was so Kdrama cliche. All the possible troupes i despise in Korean dramas are in this one especially in the final episode (if you're used to Korean drama you'll know right away which troupe it is).

I just finished watching Yanxi Palace, should I start watching this one? Since it has the different point of view...
Don't do it if you have a weak heart...its a tough watch. Whereas Yanxi's Palace is light Ruyi is the exact opposite. I could probably count on one hand the moments I genuinely felt happy watching this. Howeverrr its still a good drama just dont go in expecting roses and sunshine.
I absolutely loved Dong Yi and how she utilized her smarts but her naivety and blind trust in everyone frustrated me to no end at times. I found myself thinking so many times that if this were any other Historical Asian drama she would have died like 15 times already. She's definitely smart but not manipulative (in a good way) or cunning like the leads from out historical asian dramas. Her smarts is more the in your face general kind of smarts.

Man sis..its really not this serious...It was just underwhelming for me but I'm genuinely happy you enjoyed it and you're going this hard for it. Keep up the good work.If you want to compare them compare them..if you think this is better than you think this is better...Do You! Lobby for the drama..have discussions...yeah just whatever floats your boat.
*deep sigh* and for the millionth time you can like whatever you like...have whatever opinion you like! its completely fine. Why do you keep insisting that i'm trying to "kill you for you opinion" or trying to keep you from expressing yourself..I swear I'm not mad at the fact that you like/prefer this drama over eternal love...I've said it like 5 times already that's your prerogative so comment to your heart's content. I just wished more people watched this drama and loved it as much as you did...so you wouldn't be so upset about a random person like me not liking it as much as you or preferring Eternal Love over it. But honestly some dramas do get a lot of hype and views way after its been off air. So i'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that love and destiny is one such show.
Started watching this drama and i'm enjoying so much...my only complaint is that after awhile the storylines seem to be repeating themselves and that is soo frustrating. I can't get into it without too much spoilers but I would still recommend this drama. It's a great wuxia. The comedic aspects had me laughing so much and the romance lol one specific part that was so good lol. Watch it!
This is one of the cutest shows ever..if you feel a little bored at the beginning just stick with it..it gets better. Also, all the kissing scenes among all the couples make up for everything in my mind...I love seeing genuine kissing in these dramas and not the dead fish kisses. Also, the female friendships was everything. I loved it!

It started off pretty slow but when it picked up you really become invested in the story but then somewhere around the 30s its like the writers just give up...logic..common sense and good writing just flew out the window...i kept holding on thinking that it would improve...It did not!
The self sacrificing hero complex troupe was alive and well in this one. It got so frustrating I had to take breaks during episodes to just make it through.
Spoil me the ending everyone! i need d.e.t.a.i.l.s. Happy Ending but not satisfied? What???
For me personally it was definitely not a happy ending...howeverr...some people will argue that it's "open to interpretation"...I will say it's not your generic happy ending

I respect your opinion, like you said we all have our likes. I like love & Destiny but in my opinion it's just an okay drama. The story is draggy at certain points and I felt like love between them (especially from the male lead perspective) just appeared from no where. But even if i'm wrong in my opinion that's okay because that is MY opinion. I know I don't speak for everyone.
