Really you liked the Thai Goong. I thought it was not to good. But then I was comparing it with Thai 'Full House" which is better thai the Korean full house. If you just want a nice romance check out Neung Nai Suang with James Jirayu. He sings this song with the main actress Yaya. this song is on my playlist. I love Thai dramas let me know if you want suggestions, I watch all genres. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtZH1wwcAP4
I love BL series but I got to agree with you. That was a sad comment. i wish those great actors in BL series get to just be actors, and not be kept from other roles. i want them the best.
Of course he died. Did you really think that an immoral relationship (adulterous) was really gonna work out on primetime Korea. The US is pretty lax in keeping up morals, but rarely even in the US, are adulterous affairs sanctioned. So I kinda knew that if they liked each other too much one of them would die. They added extra episodes on to this drama. I think that Shin Sung Rok became a favorite and so his part overtook Choi's. Good call/ loved this drama.
Let's just be honest. The stars of this drama are Shin Sung Rok and Shin Eun Kyung. Shin Sung Rok shines so bright, that Choi Jin Hyuk even in all his beauty, and despite the fact Choi is the clear hero, its like Choi is slightly off stage. While its fun to watch Jang Na Ra match wits with Shin Eun Kyung, it SEK's fcae that you want to watch...damn her reactions are a case study in how to carry a role.
every episode had been subbed by life accoustic on Dailymotion
Ohh I remember when I was so innocent that I too believed in Lifeaccoustic. That was my first experience with English subs not meaning that there are ACTUALLY English subs. And of course the subtitles stop just when the bullshite is so over the top. I really want to watch it all, because I like over the top messy slap/kiss lakorns, where at the end everything is forgiven and this one is the O.G.
Is this worth watching? And happy ending? I like the season 2 Mike Angelo :)
I am currently re-watching to get ready to binge MAB 2. I have not seen any of the season two yet but i think if i watched them in the wrong order I would be really disappointed because Mike can actually ACT. I am pretty sure he is going to slay that role. Tae Hwan is just so wooden in this role. however I blame the director who, although the main lead is constantly saying I am human, keeps telling him to act like he is an alien from another star. Even though the main lead is an awful actor, the female lead carries the whole show. Instead of being a character that is stupid and the viewer hates her, she pulls off the role making you just fall in love with her. Over all I loved the first one, can't wait for the next. it can only get better. Sooo, did you guys ever watch the first one? and what did you think? Am I gonna love the new one??? Is Mike kicking ass?
wow. GoT? Big shoes to fill. I'm 45% on picking this up because of your comment. :D
Did you ever watch it. It is very much like GOT in the sense that the stories intertwine, you can tell it is from a book series. The uncle, who is one of the major villains is crafty enough to be on GOT. Every scene is like a work of art. The trailer was a work of art.
Seriously? A 2nd season? Why? There's nothing else to show. They covered the whole novel & epilogues and the story…
Ohhh why did you even bring up Tribes and Empires! I have barely finished my mourning over the fact that there will never be a second season. And then YOU just HAD to bring it up. I am working hard to forget...damn it!
1. Yes it is the money. Understanding is important to the Chinese culture. So their are always numerous flash backs to remind you WHY what is happening is happening. They spend a lot of time explaining motives of everyone and often explain why people are the way they are. The villains are often complex and not just simple evil folks (yes, I am talking about you Thailand). There is also the fact that China is immense, and has various vastly different cultures. So they use more time to make sure everybody is on the same page. And lastly it is best to think about them like an intricate American soap opera. A friend from Taiwan explained to me about the history of China and the need to explain/ gain understanding. 6. Just be patient. It a different language. It is the same if you watch Scandinavian dramas or any language different than your own. 7. What makes Cdramas great for me is often the cinematography. I love it when you get to see all over the country ( the best example is Tribes and Empires). I have also found that sometimes they mix the two. Whenever they show the gods living in that place where the cites are on top of these tall pillars, that is a real place, LOVE IT. THE WIGS, WTH. I find it funny that in the US you can find beautiful wigs made of Chinese hair, but so often the wigs in Chinese dramas are real bad. They should their wigs here. Maybe they just export all the good wig hair. 8. These dramas are all about power and control of power. Especially if they are based on historical characters. It is the same for any dramas about the British royalty or history; royalist vs the roundheads, Yorks vs Lancasters, Catholics vs Protestants, Scottish royalty vs English royalty, Normans vs Saxons, etc... 9. I use to tutor Chinese student in English. One day my student comes to me because she does not understand what is happening in the reading. She says to me: the two people are sitting down across a table and one character keeps telling the other character to "get off his back." They are sitting far apart, what is going on. I had another student tell me about when she came to America and went shopping at Safeway when she got to the checkout stand they asked her" Paper or plastic." She did not want either.
I like to know what is going on when I watch Cdramas so I always read the Wikipedia page if it is an historical drama. If they say it is based on a myth, I look up the myth. I also look up the dynasty/time period. I usually look up the names of any historical figures or what I think might be based on an historical figure. For instance the other day I has lunch with a Chinese-American professor (I took a pro-sem class from him not a Chinese one that he teaches) and two of his international students. Because I had watched, Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon and had looked her up I was able to correct the Chinese students on who gained power after she died. I am an anthropologist and I am naturally nosy so any time I watch any historical Asian drama I do a ridiculous amount of research. When I run into poems or saying I don't understand I google the words to see if I can find their meaning. Oh and if you watch Ashes of Love be sure and watch it on 4udrama because towards the end of the drama there is an almost war happening in the comment section. The commentators really fight. It was so funny. And lastly I love how the demon realm in these dramas always looks better that heaven and how the Demon people are often better people than the heaven people. ENJOY
