Birth secrets, great fight scenes and travelling around to unlock mystical secrets. Fu Yao is much closer to a Wuxia drama than a Xianxia drama, and the plot is much more straightforward, the dialogue much easier to understand, and most importantly, is not completely boring to watch. Fighter of the Destiny felt like 52 episodes of talking, and every character except for the Empress was one dimensional.

Please, for your own sake, drop this and go watch Fu Yao instead.

Although there are differences with regards to what triggers the time travel in both the dramas the male leads tries to prevent a tragedy from happening and how his efforts leads to a butterfly effect and changes events . In Meet me @1006 romance is important while in ERASED priority is given to prevent the tragedy .

Actors Sho Sakurai and Mikako Tabe first acted together in Yamada Taro Monogatari. It's nice to see them reunited after 10 years.

The plot is exactly the same (Not sure if they're both remakes of the same drama or just based on the same manga/etc).
