Typically I don't like watching high school cdramas, because censorship makes it near impossible to portray a reasonable romantic story in them and also they often have content involving parents & teachers that I abhor.
This drama is a standout in in this genre in the sense, that they've shown innocent but very sweet high school dating. At times I was wondering how this passed censorship. Then later on ML's momster came and forced a 1 year separation, so everyone could focus on their studies & then I thought "okay, so that's how". There were also various moments in the drama, when the leads were vehemently denying their romantic involvement with each other, but it was never in doubt. It was very strongly implied that they knew each other's feelings and they did everything dating teens would do, other than skinship that is.
(This is the second crama I've seen that is like this, the other one was 'Meeting You')

Basically the show can be split into three parts.
1) The kids getting to know each other. (first 5-9 ep)
2) The friend group of 5 enjoying their best life. (this is very close to 10/10 amazing)
3) College, young adult life (last 6-7 ep)

I would say 1) is not great, initially I found the show to be the most typical Chinese high school drama I have ever seen. I was fully prepared to drop it, but I did not really have anything else better lined up & I needed something to watch during my late night workout sessions.. Upon reaching 2) I was very surprised, suddenly everything started working for me and it felt like I'm watching a different show, where EVERYTHING is better, including the acting, the editing and even the background music inserts. In fact episode 10 is one of the best cdrama episodes I have ever seen, it was absolutely magical.
After the forced separation we quickly transitioned to college life & adult dating. While I tend to enjoy a simple, fluffy and complication-free happy ending, I felt 3) to be lackluster in many ways. I really liked the second couple & they barely had scenes there. Much of the non romantic plot earlier was involving ML's brother & momster. FL did not meet ML's mom during the adult part of the show, at least other than us seeing the mom sitting there at their wedding there has not been anything else. The brother also only had like one line during the wedding, would have been nice to see what happened to the genius. Also there were at least two occasions when I felt the writer set up some big cathartic faceslap moments and the then things just fizzled out, not cool! Give me my loud slap! To sum it up, in 3) we just went through the motions without enough emotional impact. (well there was a little of that in the finale, maybe)

Anyway despite the negative points this one is absolutely worth watching, perhaps even just for the bromances, but to me 'A Love So Beautiful' -despite that annoying Wu Busong and the breakup- is a much better cdrama that is largely similar to this one, but feels far better overall. It's better acted, has several really epic moments, the final episodes are very satisfying and it's amazing from episode 1 onward etc etc.
Of course if I started to compare it to the best university/young adult cdramas then it would just fall short.

TLDR: It's the second best high school cdrama I've seen, but usually high school cdramas suck, so 8/10.

Everyone's dream

A very good storyline that every man and women nowadays will very nuch wish for but the truth is, its so hard to get.
To think of it, loving forever can be just a very simple thing but how many can even get near, sad.
What is love? How much is love? How long is love? Always able to dream of, easy to say, hard or even never ever to get for most.
One of the best drama that i have watched in recent years. Also the OST, nice and very heartening.
Will recommend all to watch and really not only to just to dream if it, but to make it happen.

It all makes sense. And for that, it failed.

There’s not a single person that took even a peek at a trailer of this drama without every single bit of expectation weighing down on a single character alone. Everything, depended on portraying this rare lead character in drama land well enough. A balance of unforgivable and mysterious acts from Mr. Suave we can’t help but to uncover. A disturbing past, behind a dashing smile.

But i ask, how? How can you succeed at the only thing you set out to do, that EVERYONE wishes to see executed, and still fail? Well, you take all of the great build up and payoffs from the initial 7ish episodes and just say the magic word, sike.

Fe Ke

A great introduction of whom we’re dealing with here. A couple perspective twists thrown in early to link everyone’s experience with the man of the hour seamlessly. Slow, satisfying burns of finesse, open arms, and welcoming opportunities. Something’s unbalanced though, can’t quite tilt my soda can on it.

FeKe

Near flawless segues from one story to the other, why is that.. though? Was recollection always this easy? I mean hell, they’re bouncing off one another as if all of this over the past couple years has happened to them last week. Meh, who cares. These campfire stories are going great. Replace the battery in the flashlight for us Su Qian, that’s a 40 episode remake of classic Kdrama if i ever seen one. Something’s not quite adding up though, surely if i sell AMC now Cheng it wouldn’t hu-

Feke

Oh so predictable. Wait, come again? His daughter did what after? Hold on, these are the lies now, right? Well who the fuck wrote the lies y’all were dishing out the past 5 hours and where can i contact them for an inquiry? I mean this is absurd, why even stick with what really happened at this point when you can just make a better truth up. Now that I’m thinking about it, throw the damn soda can away already.

Fake

Hints of stories mixed so well together you refuse to believe the “reality” you chase down after them. You can tell the exact moment they decided to just start wiping their ass with the original work and start attempting to spin things their own way. I didn’t want to believe what i was told, but 7 episodes is as far as you need to go here to get what you want. 8 if you’re up for a good laugh after the dark and depressing themes this drama oozed throughout.

I’m not mad at the time i wasted. After all, the “twists” were at least in line with who most of these characters were from the jump, so it was of no surprise to me seeing it all go to shit because they must’ve forgot they were adapting an original work halfway through. I just wonder if the FL’s role was this dull and pointless there as well.

I don’t usually poke mindless fun at a drama without some pros at least, so here :
~ Skip to Su Qian. Done? Skip again to Su Qian, you’re welcome.
~ Great cinematography, music, and use of imagery.
~ Episodes 1-7 are worth your time, skip to Su Qian after. Done ? Close it out.
~New… party trick?

Soul shifters and heart renders

The fictitious land of Daeho is dominated by two powerful groups of mages who are learned magicians: Cheonbugwan and Songrim. Cheonbugwan reports directly to the King. Songrim is a self-run organisation openly against the practice of sorcery, especially the soul shifters who are able to move from their bodies to dominate another. Soul shifting involves exchanging bodies, often with an unwilling younger person to prolong one's life and is an evil sorcery. Cheonbugwan claims a similar anti-sorcery stance but secretly rivals Songrim for power.

While running away from the pursuit of the Songrim mages, assassin Naksu finds herself soul shifted into the body of MuDeok and later becomes the maidservant of Jang Uk from a powerful elite family. Jang Uk knows that MuDeok is Naksu and uses this knowledge to blackmail her to help him lift a seal on his energy. The Jang Uk is the son of the Head of Cheonbugwan, who has been missing for 20 years but rumours goes that he is an illegitimate son from his mother's affairs.

King is plagued by the prophecy that a powerful King's Star mage would one day appears and is insecure about his position. There are dark powerful forces supporting the sorcerers and the people practicing it are in high places, who will make use of the King's and Crown Prince's insecurity. Even the Unanimous Assembly of mages is dominated by ambitious sect leaders who are secretly hoping to lay their hands on the Ice Stone which can make the soul shifting happens, while claiming to be righteous and anti-sorcery.

What I like about this drama:

a. This soul shifting story is original. There had been dramas based on soul of a person shifting to another - mostly as individuals unique cases. But this drama takes it to another dimension as a widely practised sorcery involving a cult of powerful men and women whose ambitions are to live forever and dominate the world.

b. The chemistry of the leading female character MuDeok (Jung So Min) with the first, second and third male leads is great.

c. The cast is outstanding and acted their parts well. To mention a few:
- Jung So Min - she was outstanding - whenever she was disgusted with Jang Uk, she would squint her eyes and glare at him which was often interesting to watch,
- Lee Jae Wook as the male lead - filled with a desire to break free from his bondage and to excel and at times temperamental and slackening,
- Hwang Min Hyun as the righteous mournful Seo Yul haunted by guilt,
- Shin Seung Ho as the disturbed Crown Prince knowing often that it is wrong but nevertheless unable to resist a selfish course of action.

d. Along the drama, there are a lot of secrets to be unveiled, identities to be confirmed, suspenseful moments and what would be Naksu's choices - make the story very interesting and attention gripping.

What I dislike about this drama:

a. The ending was open-ended. It takes another 10 episodes in a sequel to wrap this up. If I had watched this drama shortly after it was released, I would be cursing as the ending is so crap. But since the sequel is already released, I just hopped onto the sequel to figure out the ending.

Overall, I highly recommend this drama.

funny and very entertaining

this drama is so so so entertaining and very very funny, i feel like there's not a single episode which i didn't burst out laughing. it is very chaotic as well, love this drama in that part. storyline wise, i like the part about the female lead (bong hwan basically), while the political part was boring and predictable for me and that's the minus point... i don't feel like watching those parts and rather just 'pushing' myself to watch it. i'm only interested about the female lead. i swear i was having identity crisis together with her throughout the series. acting was AMAZINGGG, every single cast even the supporting roles are very very great. the last episode was a meh for me, imo they should've put more focus about the spirit swap because that's the best part. anyways i had a good laugh thanks to this drama. recommended if you need light, entertaining drama :)

Watch this drama for Lee Sung Mi, who is excellent, as he almost always is. Unfortunately there are also many stereotypical Korean drama caricatures here who behave in too predictable ways. I think the drama was intended as a takedown of entitled and selfish chaebols. But revenge dramas need to have villains worthy of your hate (see "The Glory"), in order for the protagonist's retribution to feel truly satisfying. The villains here don't quite hit the mark. Still, this drama was pretty addictive.

This one's quite a cute rom com.
With the sageuk background, of course there would be a lot of unnecessary power struggles between the main character and the people in the palace
but honestly I watched this for the main couple's romance. And it was worth it.
I'm also happy that the main characters aren't stupid (like a lot of rom com tropes are)

The acting could be better; they're pretty new actors afterall. But the chemistry from youthful (inexperienced) love is there and I was rooting for them so hard!

Would recommend if you're in for some fluff. The male lead really knows how to win a girl's heart.

I would rarely give out almost-perfect and perfect scores, but Where Your Eyes Linger deserves it. I am not exactly a fan of friends to lovers trope (hence the 9.5 rating) but mutual pining? The angst? It's what makes this drama enjoyable for me. When you thought Korea couldn't produce good homosexual dramas/films on national TV, the team of WYEL proved us wrong. Everything they incorporated here was perfect. And the fact that they weren't exactly friends makes it more interesting. A bodyguard falling in love with his boss, who would eventually fly out to another country? Damn, sign me up! Not to mention the angst they gave us on Episode 7. There was intimacy, there was yearning, there was tenderness, and above all, the love between them was present. And the ending? God knows how much I cried when they reunited. I may be a sucker for angsty plots without happy endings, but still, WYEL brought me to tears despite having the ending we all hoped for. A big applause to everyone who worked hard for Korea's first ever BL drama.

Love at first sight with the smell of perfume

Is there love at first sight? A question that always sparks debate between passionate defenders of instant chemistry and those who claim that it is impossible for two people to fall in love with the first look.
Peet, the protagonist of 'Scent of Love', agrees with the first criterion, as he is convinced of the love he feels for Bass from the moment he meets him, despite not even a few words having passed between them.
We can assure you that they meet in the most cliché way possible: they cross paths during the university's hazing rituals, on the same day of admission to the university. The chemistry between the two is not immediately perceptible, but it is latent, hidden, waiting for events.
However, later on, something happens that is also quite trite in romance comedies: the two strangers will meet in another place, but it will not be thanks to chance, what we call destiny, because Peet will cause it by following Bass to the club. theater in which he trains as an actor, with the aim of being as close as possible to him.
If this were real life, two people with different personalities who have never exchanged a word would never connect. But here, fantasy and the promise of a happy ending are on the side of the protagonists.
It is worth pointing out that the Thai microseries stars Din Teerapat Ruangritkul as Peet, and Fluk Chatchawan Jitraxtham as Bass, whom we have also seen as the main couple of the series 'My Secret Love', from 2022.
Enjoyable enough, the two actors create what could be a throwaway story of love at first sight between two university students, a very common theme in the BL genre.
The protagonists play two university students who form a love bond that, although it seems impossible, the brief audiovisual production, which overflows with good intentions, sweetness and tenderness, all captured in a wonderful way, demonstrates that love knows no barriers.
We could say that this is a story about two soul mates. We have Peet, a cute, introverted, shy but mischievous first-year college student, who secretly loves Bass, a handsome sportsman from a senior year, a lover of theater and popular with his fellow students, especially the girls. girls.
Peet doesn't know how to react to the person he loves. First of all, they are both men, in a society in which, although homosexuality is legal, same-sex marriage and homosexual relationships are not recognized. And secondly, he is convinced that Bass is in love with Jang, the actress trainee.
And in the presence of Bass, while they are rehearsing a play, Peet always gets nervous and cannot articulate a word, not even to say his lines from the script of the play they are practicing, so Bass has ordered him to improve his performance or He left the group, this being the third reason why he is sure he lives a one-sided love. But by then, the rapprochement between the two boys, both physically and emotionally, had already begun... although they might still be unaware of it.
Will they be able to be together even though the world seems to turn against them? That is the question that remains throughout the almost 12 minutes of footage that, however short it may seem to us, the film is charming enough to please viewers looking for romance, for its charming characters, the tender story and attention to detail in the visual.
The Thai entertainment industry has proven once again that it has the right formula to revive the genre and satisfy an audience that craves authentic and heartwarming love stories. Personally, I liked the way the plot was executed, subtly exploring the personal stories of the characters, before we suddenly came to understand that the love is mutual.
'Scent of Love' hooks you from the beginning and in no time you've finished it. The charisma of the characters, the music of Kham Susira and, obviously, the looks of the lovers, make this piece one of those that we can't stop sighing over, due to its many romantic and poetic elements that give it a good touch. to the history.
To some it may seem like more of the same within the BL genre, but it is also easy to fall surprisingly under its cheesy and sentimental spell.
Yes, boy meets boy. They fall in love. The rest is history? No, history will unfold before our eyes, as we will be faithful witnesses to the birth of a romance. Many romantic television and film works revolve around this basic proposal for every love story. 'Scent of Love' takes the same starting point, but seeks, in turn, to tell its story in terms of commercially advertising a perfume from the Mith Bangkok company. This may seem negative to many, and they are right, but it will not be the first or the last time in which small works that do not have a budget have to succumb to the realization of a whim at the service of a transnational company. But, luckily, on this occasion the film product does not come out badly.
The creators' style highlights somewhat bland characters, but with a background in each one that is worth exploring.
The microseries is made for fans of the romantic genre and makes it clear that its objective is to portray love, acceptance, self-discovery, sexual diversity, the search for happiness and coming of age, themes explored through the dynamics of the main characters.
The photography enjoys very bright colors and, at times, the creators' intention is for Din and Fluk to feel like the center of the universe. By falling in love so suddenly, the rest of the universe seems to not exist. For this reason, the stage in which they practice the play, and especially the classroom where they finally have the conversation that everyone is waiting for, were perfect to get their romance started.
With a little luck, the two lovers will meet in the most traditional way, find the right words, and taking the next step will be a huge, but happy and charming challenge.

How the love story progresses between Pi Yanu and the mob lover is what this drama s about . Meanwhile Pi Yanu has a secret which must be guarded for sometime. Will Pi Yanu be able to hide the secret even from the mob lover? well watch the drama and find out! It is mostly a rom com drama. Loved the first few episodes - till 8 to 9 episodes it was interesting. If you love sweet romance and sweet kisses these episodes are interesting. After that it gets dragging. 15th episdoe is also interesting. Liked it even though the story drags in between.

An Idol life the good, bad and ugly(owners) A must see

I enjoy watching webtoons turn into idol dramas especially this one. I feel like it touches on so many levels that are true to life in the dreams of being an idol. Its sad in many way as you watch these young kids training every day for hours on end and some make some don't. Here they train and receive nothing unless you are great and bring in money they get an allowance and a nicer place to stay. Your life is owned by the company as a pretty face and talent, but don't think of having any real relationship as your fans will dislike it and attack everyone. I'm a fan of many Kpop group, but they are also humans and should be allowed to have a life that's not destroyed or controlled by the fans. Your there for the good times, but throw them away when it bad or you dislike them and start bad rumors that hurt so many unnecessary. You see it everyday on multiple internet sites. This was a great Drama that shows you some real things that happen in our lives today. The cast of idols did a amazing job and hope to see more of them as they grow. A definite watch

gay office romance, boss/employee, queer authenticity, external pressures

This was Thailand’s answer to The New Employee, and everything I loved about that show I loved about this one. This was an office romance between stern boss and sweet subordinate that felt more authentic to an office environment and queer life than previous Thai BLs of this ilk. And that authenticity added tension to the narrative and character development (how novel). Now that might be because it has western source material, or it might be because it is actually kind of old-fashioned (it’s been years since I worked as an office grunt, so don't know if the workplace is still like how they depicted it). I also really enjoyed the brothers’ relationship, and kinda wished they hadn’t attempted to give said brother his own side BL. That one flaw made it a 9/10 for me but I still really enjoyed this one.
