perfect drama

well i started this with 0 expectations, even tho i waited for it for so long, i just finished after staying up all night.
so let's talk about it
Plot?
the drama is not only about missing people, you can see they did a really good job expressing how some people Really suffered in the 1940's when south korea was under Japan's control, this made it even better, the whole hospital thing is just amazing and i never expected it, it fits the plot perfectly, Japan using poor korean citizens and stuffing them in a hospital try on experiments, turn them into Monsters to use them in war? its pretty smart to be honest.

Acting/cast?
Perfect cast, park seo joon, han so hee and wi ha joon are the perfect combination for a 1940's drama, and since they're amazing actors, the acting was really good. amazing actors, fluent in japanese.

the drama was pretty unique, unlike any other drama about monsters or zombies, gives 1940's vibes, war vibes, colonisation vibes, soldier vibes, also it was emotionally in the right place with some good plot twists , a solid 10 for me, can't wait for part 2

The princess agent the ending.

the series is interesting and has had many scenes that you get really excited. The plot and the twist are definitely real starting at episode one. I will admit that I am getting a few of the male characters mixed up but overall it is still entertaining. I am getting a teen like vibe from this series which is not awful but for me it is somewhat immature. Even though they have their own personalities and strengths the main leads are or at least appear to be teens and their personalities appear to match that as well. I somewhat feel like I’m watching a Percy Jackson or Harry Potter series. The possibility of any relational depth is almost impossible however character depth will come, I’m certain.
The series gets better as it progresses. The fight scenes were amazing as were the dialogue between the cast. The only negative thing I can say about the series so far is that it’s not fun having the main lead be a weak person. This is the second or third series that I have watched within the last few months that had the male lead written as someone who was weak or really gentle. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with a person being kind hearted however when you’re watching an action film where there is fighting, it kind of sucks to have the lead being someone who is almost always inferior to everyone else except when his power kicks in. He is almost always weak or faints. His fight scenes are pretty cool though. When they happen!

Positive: great acting, attire, action and scenery and Character development.
Negative: for me it’s confusing with so many side characters/clans and stories because I’m not sure who is who. If your good at following tribes and names this won’t affect you. The plot seems to get lost within all of the stories. Around episode 49 I could no longer tell what the point was. There is a cliffhanger ending, no doubt they plan to do another season but after 56 episodes, I needed closure and didn’t get it.

So I finally managed to end this drama (I stopped for so long but there is not much to watch at the moment) and I must say I am a little disappointed.
At first I really like the storyline and I love the main cast so I figured this had to be good...
Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. I don't know if it was because of the lack of chemistry between the lead couple or just the fact that I got tired of hearing one cheesy line after another but I have to say I did not get into it.
Simple as that: the story is pretty good but I just could not feel any of what was going on in the romance.
The cast is good, the supporting roles too, the music is pretty, the script is full of beautiful declarations and confessions but there are no exiting situations that gets your heart jumping just because of the events and make you want to scream "Kyaaaa" very loudly (like the infamous sit-up scene in Secret Garden, the "Caught in my room" scene in Itazura Na kiss or the whole living together part while disguised as a boy of HanaKimi).
I guess it depends what kind of romantic drama you like but in my case, actions speak louder than words and love declarations are just not enough to get me going crazy for a drama.
So I would say it is a good distraction but far from being a roller-coster for my heart which is usually what I look for in rom/com dramas. Only my opinion of course.

My first ever on-air show

~||~ Things I hated:

- The character description of psychopath and sociopath.
Psychopathic description was somewhat fine but sociopathy...oh boy...
Being a sociopath Do Hyun Soo was dumb and rather helpless in most of the situation. His plans were never meticulous enough and would always have a hole in them.
Sociopaths can be calculative and know how to manipulate for their need too.
Sociopaths are able to feel some emotions. They are not completely emotionless (as the character himself stated so many times).
ML failed to be the right kind of sociopath.
\\
- So you are telling me the real psychopath Baek Hee Sung woke up literally after 15+ years of vegetative state and within a week or so he was active enough to not only plan meticulously but kill people??? Wow.
Maybe he was on a really good medication because I took two whole days to recover just from severe dehydration. Lol. Let me know.

That's all.

~||~ Things I loved:

- Sibling goal {Do Hae Soo + Do Hyun Soo} ✌?
//
- The female lead Cha Ji Won was on point though. Perfect amount of boldness, dash of emotions and packed with strength. Perfect.
//
- Reporter Kim, a type of friend we don't want but we need.
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"
//
- The head of Team 3 Detective Lee Woo Chul, portrayed a good leader. Equally caring, admirable and strict.
//
- Tbh I kinda shipped (you know like imaginary second lead syndrome) the female lead with detective Choi Jae Sup.... I'm sorry not sorry.... Their chemistry was worth noticing too.
//
- The ending (episode 16) seemed kinda unnecessary but still it was a happy one so I won't judge it too hard.

That's all.

Take care. Stay safe.
- Maaya

This started out a little silly (Episode 1), went uphill quickly and then came crashing down with a thud.

It looked like we were going to have some chemistry between Sarawat (sexy as hell) and Tine (very cute), but nope, there was nothing there. The story was all over the place and, in the end, I couldn't have cared less whether or not Sarawat and Tine got together. The scene where Tine breaks down sobbing was, to me, ridiculous and stupid. I mean, seriously, the situation never warranted that kind of a reaction. I felt like Win was just being given a chance to show he could cry onscreen so, kudos I guess. Pretty much a big yawn.

I was more intrigued by Man/Type, until the second to last episode where Man was subjected to such bullying and humiliation from Type and his boss/colleagues. Then, in the last episode, it's all kind glossed over and they're a couple. Yeah, right. Next.

Mil/Phukong: I love Drake/Frank in everything else they've done, but there was nothing here. Mil made it clear that he had no interest in Phukong through the entire series... until five minutes before the end of the finale, they're suddenly a couple.

At this point, I'd have to say my favorite character was Green.

The whole thing was a major disappointment. I give it a 5.5, and the only reason I'm giving it that high of a rating is because there were some entertaining moments in the early part of the series.

The life of a narcissist

This show opens off kinda iffy but keeps on getting better. The villian is actually too good. She's playing chess while everyone playing checkers. The family is really playing into their games which finally puts more excitement. It gives a lot of vibes from any cheating kdrama but in the most cruel way possible. It's incredibly underrated and should be show worthy.

Sageuks are not really my thing but the whole fantasy element plus a ghost as the main character really made me curious as to how the whole romance angle would pan out…

Story: The first couple episodes were mysterious and funny. Then by the second half I found the writing a little lazy and predictable. The slow pacing is what made the story borderline boring at times. The strong pull though was definitely the romance. I thought the writers did a phenomenal job with that and its what ultimately kept me watching till the end. As for the ending, it wasn’t the way I would have liked it to end but I give it up to the writers for making a not so expected ending that many of the viewers would be satisfied with.

Acting/Cast: This is my first Lee Jun Ki led drama and I have to say he was so awesome! His acting was very natural and I never sensed overacting. I can definitely say I am a fan now. As for the lovely Shin Min Ah, I was so happy that she had an amazing chemistry with LJK because that really made the romance so believable. Once again that is what kept me watching. As for the supporting cast, I thought they did a good job, but I wasn’t really interested in most of their characters. I will say that Yun Woo Jin (who I have only seen in Ojakgyo Brothers) did a really good job playing his character, who can be considered a villain, but who you will come to sympathize with greatly.

Music: Loved the haunting score which matched the ghostly theme so well.

Rewatch: I honestly don’t want to see this story again just because the plot really didn’t grab me but I would consider it for one of the greatest OTP I have seen this year.

Overall, although Arang and the Magristate didn’t end up blowing me away like I thought it would, I would recommend this solely for Sageuk fans (that are used to slow pacing plots) or Lee Jun Ki/Shin Min Ah fans.

Just skip this lol

As much as you may think this movie will deliver especially with such an amazing cast it just.. doesn’t. So much unnecessary things thrown in whilst we also barely get a story. This movie was empty and somehow managed to also have such a snail like pace. Shown a bunch of characters only to have them thrown out in a fight scene. Even with boksoon’s family we don’t know a thing … even though this movie literally surrounds her. We don’t know who her child’s father is even though cha guy keeps mentioning him, we don’t know anything about the kid, whether she saw that vid or not, we don’t know why her father was praying for her or what kinda guy he was, we know nothing about her mom either. Ofc we don’t have to be told everything but if you’re going to mention it you cant allow us to settle with bits and pieces. It also goes without saying but we could’ve done without the incest plotline.. overall just an amazing cast let down by horrible writing.

Complete watching the drama in 3 days. Have to say it's so so only.

There were many very sweet moments in the drama between Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, especially when they keep reminding each other that they would eventually be separated. The 4 subordinates of HB created many light hearted moments in the drama. SYJ is so pretty in the drama, regardless of the clothes she was in. All so classy and graceful.

I am touched by the writer's perspective. They tried to show us the human side of North Koreans. I appreciated seeing things from this point of view.

The scenes in Switzerland were gorgeous.

What I dislike,

1. really weak OST. I don't understand how come they couldn't put in more effort on the OST. I can barely remember any songs from this drama.

2. The drama lacked those heart breaking moments that wld make you remember the drama. For example, I can totally remember those heart breaking scenes in Goblin 1 year after watching it, but I can hardly think of any heart breaking moments from CLOY.

I kinda don't get the hype and rating for this drama. It's not that it's not good, but I don't think it is good enough to get this kind of hype.

Just passable for me, I guess.

This is a story of star crossed lovers...very Romeo and Juliet. I'm probably one of the few people that loved the artsy way this was directed. I love the cinematography as well as the setting. Again I wish I could post spoilers, because I have a lot to say and no one to say it to. I really think I should start a blog...if only to get my thoughts out of my head. Anyway, there isn't so much politics in this historical drama to make it boring. There is plenty of sword play and action. I don't get why this drama gets such low ratings.

I am a huge fan of Uhm Tae Woong. He played a great character that suffers the most, but stays true to himself. The way he portrays the emotions of the character feels real to me...like he immersed himself. Kim Ok Bin as the Princess was okay. I didn't feel as deeply for her character as I should. I'm not sure if it is the acting or the writing...maybe a little of both. No Min Woo plays the crazy Yeon Nam Saeng with panache. He may enter the drama late (episode 11), but he steals every scene he is in. The rest of the actors are good too.

I enjoyed the music.

I won't rewatch this.

If you like historical sad love stories, then you should watch this.

So I'm just going to come out and say it: This drama sucked. BIG TIME.
It's such a shame because the story had a lot of potential, and it all went down the drain. So yeah, I understand if you start clicking your "Not helpful" button right now, but at least hear me (read me?) out.
I'm not going to spoil in how many ways this was frustrating, and in which ways the story lacked (A LOT), but I AM going to say that I,a big Hong Sister's fan, was really disappointed by this story- It gets to a point in which there ceases to be a story and it's just going around in circles time and time again, and the way it ends is awful, too.
Even though this is one of the worst dramas I've watched in a long time, it definitely can't be blamed on the cast. The whole cast was outstanding. The characters were awful, but it seemed very real, there was no bad acting in any part of the drama.
The music was normal, same as in most kdramas.
For the rewatch value, I definitely will NOT rewatch this. EVER again. I almost drop it the first time, NO.
Overall, this is a drama that had a lot of potential and got screwed big time. And as much as it pains me to say it, it's all the Hong Sister's fault, because the story didn't live up to its potential or its cast.
So, who do I recommend this to??? NO ONE. Maybe someone who's just starting to watch dramas, and differenciate between a good drama and a bad drama.

A thriller/human drama movie but its more of human drama that touches my heart by the help of powerful performances by the actors. I watched this movie cause i'm a big fan of doona bae but not just doona bae but all of them shines in the movie, a powerful masterful acting i have ever seen. I don't know who the other actors are but they did a masterful way of portraying each of their own characters, specially the father, the grandma and the abused girl. The father did a really convincing way of portraying this type of character, a cliche type of character who beat her own daughter when he is drunk and he and doona bae had some intense scenes in the movie. That baddass grandma...those foul words, the way she rides that motorcycle that can anytime sends her to hell and the way she talks, in short her character is the epitome of a bad grandma and her portrayal is so epic that stole some scenes in the movie. The abused girl who will make any person care for her you will understand why the main character becomes so attached to her. I was impressed by this actress who makes this character fragile yet is also mysterious...the look in her eyes and that way she smiles is freaky. Lastly doona bae, a "I-wanna-protect-someone-yet-i-have-my-own-problems", a "strong-outside-soft-inside" character...who can play this better than doona bae? and I forgot she's also playing a lesbian character in the movie. If the scenes needs intensity she can deliver if the scenes needs to be calm she can do it and heck if the scene needs a bit of sexiness she can give it, a dream actress by any director and this performance solidifies my opinion that doona bae right now is the greatest asian actress alive. Also the main strong points of this movie is the chemistry of the main lead the abused girl...everytime they were together produced powerful emotions on screen, like for example the moment the main actress discovers the bruises on the girl back DAMN that scene will haunt me for a long time and that is my favorite scene of the movie. They have sad moments but they also had this cute moments together those moments will leave smile on your face and gives little light to this dark movie we are watching and this might be a little spoiler-ish but when the girl copies the haircut of the lead they become a "bobcut poweracting duo" (cute scene). Not a perfect movie due to some plot holes that you'll understand when you watch the movie, but nonetheless a very good movie.

watch it if you want...
-movies with masterful acting
-movies that tackles problem in our society (discrimination, child abuse, Illegal immigration)
-one of the best doona bae performance ever and i have seen almost all.

Better Man is a great drama. I love every cliche`, cheesy, melodramatic moment of it. I binge watched it to the exclusion of other dramas. I will tell you that I am not even sure why I liked it so much. I am probably totally over rating it. Every once in a while though I will find a drama for which I connect. This is that kind of drama. The story isn't anything new. It is each character living their slice of life that I found engrossing.
The endings for the couples were well done.

My favorite couple is Huang Tender as Yang Zhen Hao and Lin Shara as Wu Yi An. It seems like they made each other better. He helped her be strong and brave and she helped him understand his feelings. They are interesting actors that made me feel a deep connection to their characters.

The other couples could be annoying at times although I totally understand their thought process. It isn't like the character would get to see everything I did. LOL I still found myself yelling "tell him the truth" or "he really loves you, silly" at the screen.

The music is good.

I might rewatch this someday!

I seriously enjoyed all the characters and it was a fun watch. I recommend it to everyone.

SLOW BORING DRAGGY

If this Drama thinking that it could be better if they add One Character every Episode just to make the viewers satisfied about the story well not me it disappointed me. Try adding Nice/Good Character not making it a Villain Party well it would be better.

This Drama is the combination of every little thing that you hate/despise in a Lakorn and it turns well into something that you don't like. HAHAHAHA

It was not exciting unlike the other On going Drama that makes me feel obsessed with the next episode. It was really draggy and boring Revenge Drama that I have watch and maybe I have dropped it if I watch it Completed.

The Progress is just like a Ferris Wheel it was so slow It went up and down. The Vengeance and development of the Characters also slow. I have watch many Revenge Lakorn better than this one so don't waste your time if you're looking for Revenge Plot. There's so many unnecessary Characters and unnecessary scenes.

Donut's potrayal of Paul is the only good thing that happened in the show. However, he is so Vengeful towards to his Stupid Father I mean his biological Father

Khun Nai is a weak person who only thinks about 'gratitude' .At the same time she's asking for the love of her Adopted Mother.She's a punching bag that waiting for someone to punch her She is stupid cause she's not moving by her own self cause she's standing on other people's shadow.

I don't like anyone from the Character literally no one is beyond to my liking. They're all stupid and bad like they didn't know that Singkorn is backstabbing dog and Paramee still trusting him and his Wife Khun Net who's a hooker who likes to eat Men's Sperm of anyone whoever she wants and always taking advantage of Nai. There's so many Villain Characters that I want to tell since it is Villain Party but I think it's enough for now.

I'm asking for the Second Lead Couple cause Ch7 always good in making the Second Couple better than the Main Couple. But it was definitely a pure mess The Doctor who only love Khun Nai even it have already fiance and didn't look for other woman around her. And that woman is also stupid who always showing her love to that guy that is blind to FL.

Khun Nai (Praphye) still needs improvement cause her Acting is so down to Earth I can't see her smile even a little bit even in any angle. Khun Net (Jeab)is so calm her voice her face and her movement I think She cannot play a Villain The Acting of the Main Lead was not so bad it was Okay. I didn't also like the Soundtrack cause it seems that the Singer is drunk before the recording Lol but they added Ost on Episode 14 which is actually good that the Main Ost. I will not Rewatch this Title cause I'm getting pissed with so many Characters and I don't want to see Singkorn in other Lakorn again.

Still it have 2 Episodes left I scored it 4 for now but it can change to 2 or 3 Lollllll Maybe 5.5 if I like the Ending.

Sorry Guys but I just can't like it.

at a loss for words

Here to give the cast & crew of the One Piece live action their flowers because WOW. I don't even know where to begin. First of all, many congrats to One Piece for finally breaking the anime live action curse. Many doubted the opla's ability to bring One Piece to life (reasonably so) but I am sure watching a few minutes of the first episode will change their minds. Covering the majority of the east blue saga within 8 episodes (most that don't even reach the 1 hour mark by the way) is a feat in of itself. In order to do so, the show-runners and writers did have to tweak some things to adjust to the short time frame, but god did they do it so well. Nothing felt unnatural. In fact, the new additions to the show (ie. more strawhat interactions & dialogues, marine involvement, and buggy content) brought more life to the One Piece universe. As I was watching, I felt so immersed in their world; almost as if I were a strawhat myself. The fight scenes were epic, the soundtrack was beautiful, and the backstories hit just as hard as they do in the animanga. If i could rate this show an 11/10, I would. It is just too damn good.

As a diehard fan of One Piece for 13 years, this live action adaptation exceeded my expectations and made me fall in love with the story all over again. Don't let your strong bias against live action adaptations stop you from finding hidden gems; you might be surprised with what you'd find.
