An intriguing and refreshing drama
Ever since getting hooked in Korean Drama, I enjoy bingeing rather than having to wait for each episode to be released. But this drama made it so intriguing with the documentary style and 30-minute per episode, I don't mind anticipating two episodes each week.In the beginning, I thought the interview/documentary part of the plot was a bit of a drag but it was paced well in the succeeding episodes. How the characters' feedback on the topic or theme presented in the episode is like me discussing with my friends on their personal take or opinion about it.
I am big fan of Jichang Wook and have never been disappointed in any of his drama nor movie. This surely is different and once again brings out the best in him as a lead character. He makes my heart flutter in every romantic scene he does.
The vibe of city life -- commuting, part-time / full time job pressure or demands, and hang out or friends past-time is refreshing from the typical rich and famous lifestyle or joseon living.
Lastly, this drama gives audience an opportunity to look at their personal perspective on the foundation of love or any relationship.
I like the build-up from episode 8 till the 13th so far. After watching all episodes, it leaves something to be desired. I wish the running-time was more than 30 minutes or more episodes.

Personality Swap Into a Decent Show
Ok. First of all, your show can't get a 10/10 if you personality swap your main character in episode 3. If you're reading this and hated Kang in ep 1 and 2, and you're debating if you should keep going? Keep reading. Was the show sweet? Yes. Did the mains have chemistry? Yes. Perth could get chemistry from a wall. But the plot and the actors and the music can't make up for the drastic alteration in the show from episode 2 to 3.
In the first two episodes, Perth's character, Kang, is a grade A asshole. A bully to the extreme. He corals his little gang into tormenting people, making them strip for blackmail photos, condones his friends burning other people's possessions, encourages videos to spread on the internet to embarrass others, tells his little gang to drop water and things on people from high up, rips up Sailom's property, tried to interfere with Sailom's school work and studies, destroys Sailom's reputation by falsely accusing him on being a pedophile on a public forum so he lost all his jobs, and was about to threaten Sailom with a gun. Why? Because Sailom tried to show a teacher what he was doing, and then Sailom refused to bow down to him and kiss his shoes in apology.
When episode 3 starts? Kang is a misunderstood puppy who gingerly considers Sailom's feelings and financial situation all the time. He tries to sound tough, but everything is very transparent. It's obvious he is suddenly and fiercely protective of Sailom. His face goes from "fuck the world" to "pet me, I'm lonely".
Do I love version 2 of Kang? Yes. Version 1 almost made me not want to watch the show. He was that awful. But it should have been a more gradual shift and not such a stark and sudden switch.
The show post ep 3 is a mix of sweets and light drama that are good for most BL fans. The dynamic of the mains works and is satisfying for most people. I enjoyed the hints of the side couples and wish we'd gotten more from one couple, but that's another story.
The show still gets docked points for the personality swap, though.

The plot was very well written, practically no flaws, at least no major discrepancies. From how it started to how it unfolded, the pacing to the plot twists were written in a way that it was either unpredictable or when it was it was an engaging/thrilling anticipation.
The characterizations were relatively good, although I wish the "bad guy" had more depth to him and more reasoning to his behavior rather than being somewhat of a straw villain, otherwise this would've been at least a 9.5/10 for me.
They wrapped it all up pretty good and I can't have imagined it turning out any other way and it being as satisfying albeit a tad noir.
P.s. they could've done without the disgusting scene to be honest, or just not show it in graphic detail.

Truly masterpiece.
My standard of thai bl is so high after i watch Itsay, but bad buddy meet with my new standard! It's SO GOOD. The acting is so natural! No awkwardness, no cringe scene. Hands down to Nanon and Ohm for their acting! The storyline is actually basic but the chemistry between the actors made everything better. And also healthy gay relationship? Yesssirrrr. Finally thai bl series that actually give us a healthy relationship, both gay and lesbian couple! And the way the called out other thai bls on some scene lmao. Best GMM series so far!And i really want highlights about them doing the advertisement???? Damn-

Must have been on drugs when writing this drama
If I meet a stranger and they tell me that I must date them or I will die, I would probably start looking for the nearest exit. When they tell me that they are 300 years old and have been waiting for me to come back, I would probably pick up the phone and call the nearest mental hospital.Seol decides to keep working for his new boss who is batshit crazy, he even goes out for dinner with him later. Very few questions are asked by Seol, but Seol is slightly retarded and believes everything he is told ( which isn't much ) and then starts dating his new boss.
Denis the popstar who also has mental problems takes an interest in Seol , they do say birds of a feather flock together, so all the loons together makes sense. Denis is very problematic but Seol doesn't seem to notice but then the lights are on dim most of the time.
Min Yu, the very old, crazy boss/boyfriend who waited 300 years for Seol to come back to him, also doesn't seem to mind leaving Seol with oddball Denis, but then he doesn't seem to mind leaving him a lot of the time.
Maybe it is just me but if I waited 300 years for someone to come back to me, I would probably clear my calendar and spend all my time with him.
It turns out that Seol is the son of God ( I didn't think God made mistakes ) and because Min Yu gave him a name it caused a big problem and got him killed. I don't know why Min Yu is still alive after 300 years or why Seol came back, who's Denis or why anyone allowed this drama to be made. Maybe they had a competition on who could write the worst BL drama, this is top ten for sure.

The Story so far... & Conclusion
L.U.C.A. The Beginning is a story about the evolution of Species and all the moral issues that arose from such an action. This Evolution doesn’t happen in Nature, but it is engineered in a lab under the authority of a Cult. The corruption in the series is tremendous. The Cult has connections to a scorned scientist that his ideas were condemned from the scientific society. They have also ties within the Government, the NIS and several other Institutions making them powerful to what they do to people in order to succeed their cause.
Ji Oh is the main protagonist and the result of a genetic experiment. He is a human / animal hybrid the first of his kind and he managed to flee from the lab when he was a kid.
He lived a live where he was alone, with no memories because of his “gift” or “curse” as he calls it, being hunted down repeatedly by people who doesn’t remember.
The whole series concentrates in the humanization of Ji Oh.
He is being seen by others as a “Monster”, but in fact from the beginning of the series until the Episode 11, Ji Oh has been more humane than those who are called human beings because of their genome.
Goo Reum is the only human being who sees that Ji Oh is a person indeed and not a monster, hence their encounter changes Ji Oh bit by bit.
After many ups and downs, Ji Oh eventually starts a family with Goo Reum. Ji Oh loves Goo Reum fiercely. They both love each other deeply.
Their real problems start when Goo Reum and their baby will be abducted by the bad guys and GR is being manipulated to think that Ji Oh killed her parents and that he is indeed a monster. Goo Reum's reaction to all these is a mixture of postpartum depression, fear for her baby, shock that the man she loves killed her parents and tiredness because they don't let them be.
Ji Oh has been a fugitive all his life. Goo Reum doesn’t know what that means and she wants them to run away, but Ji Oh finally realizes that he cannot run away any longer. They cannot overcome the powerful Organization.
Hence his decision to become the “monster” in order to protect those who loves dearly. For Goo Reum that is unacceptable. She thinks that Ji Oh is losing his humanity and they are the reason for it. So, in the end of Episode 11 she is abandoning him.
Τhe Conclusion.
The Writer-nim stayed true to what he wanted to write. His goal was to underline the moral issues of Science playing God.
He succeeded in that.
It is obvious that he didn’t have in mind any romance, neither for JiReum or Yi Son and Yoo-Na, nor a character development of Goo Reum.
He also ended the Series with the worst-case scenario the audience would have dreamed of, a sad but realistic open ending for a possible Season 2.
For the Writer-nim, Goo Reum represented humanity while Ji Oh was the generated hybrid who had to choose how to proceed with his life.
So, should someone watch this show?
IMHO, Υes, watch with curiosity, keep the didactic lesson and move forward.

Honestly when I was starting the drama, I had high expectations. The plot seemed like a unique take on law-crime based based drama (which is exactly my genre) but as I finished this drama now, nothing stood out. The concept of the story was good; it was something fresh and I personally had loads of ideas how it would've gone on. I didn't notice it while watching and I only noticed after the drama has ended that the execution wasn't really good. Nothing really stood out from the drama, story-wise. It was just like watching another legal drama to me (A decent legal drama like Suits, not a bad one like whisper). Legal dramas are my cup of tea, and while I've had my fair share of watching solid legal dramas, I'd like it more if people would start incorporating other themes (especially fantasy) to them. Just see two LJS masterpieces: While You Were Sleeping and I can hear your voice.
The cast was solid for most part. Everyone had good chemistry with one another. The music however is a downfall. I don't know, the music just didn't seem..... fitting, especially when he's out there throwing shots at the bad guy.
To sum up, The show had its good moments sure, but with a really intriguing plot and a solid cast, I expected to have a better, stronger lasting hangover upon finishing. I felt the same way about Pinocchio; a drama that started with a bang and really had loads of but just fizzled out towards the end. Give this drama a go, especially if you're a legal-drama lover like me since it's a solid drama overall. If you're expecting something innovating though, this drama is not it. This is just another series that will placed under my "definitely not bad, but also not great dramas"

Phenomenal Show.
As someone who loves the BL genre this show excelled in so many different aspects and it just left me begging for more of them, at first I wasn’t much of a fan of the MCs but as time went on I slowly fell in love with them and soon realised the endless amounts of chemistry and talent they had, their acting was phenomenal and you could really sense the emotions and the chemistry between them, the overall story of the show was somewhat different but also somewhat very similar to quite a few BLs but regardless of that it excelled at being a BL, I would rewatch this show and most likely will in due time to get a new feel and perspective on it, and see how it is the second time round, whether I enjoyed it just as much, maybe more or maybe less, overall I can’t find many flaws with this story, the characters are mostly likeable once you get used to them, the chemistry is definitely there and the plot/story is quite good and unique in its own way, only problem is that I wish there was more and I wish it was longer. Was this review helpful to you?

This one has the vibe of Autumns Concerto, domineering ML + meek girl formula
I was interested with the show mainly because of JY. Story was your typical domineering CEO and a meek nice girl finding each other again and falling in love.I don't like FL very much though. Either she's a very good actress playing a meek girl or she has really weak acting skills.
Somewhere in the middle of the story, I can already see the head on collision traffic ahead. FL's character is very weak, so I like the domineering ML better even though he's rude most of the time.
Sure I can understand hiding a pregnancy and fighting for custody afterwards. What I don't understand was her keeping close contact with the 2nd ML. It's like courting for disaster..
Also with the final episode, can't the writers just leave them in peace to have their happy ending? I love a happy ending, always. What I don't like is the part where everything was either forgiven or forgotten..

But I love how Ha Won and Seo Won crossed path and develop feeling for each other. Their lovestory has no huge confessions, no dramatic kisses just warm hugs and beautiful conversations because they both find comfort to each other. Medyo boring jud xa gamay ky very solemn iya genre ug madala ka sa ilang heavy hearts. But happy ending pa rin for Seo Woo and Ha Won.
*I really love their OST esp the "Rain or Shine" by Elaine.
