I watched the scene with my mouth open. Sooo cutee. From episode 4 onwards, the drama completely won me over.

We start off with the not so sweet meet cute of Lin and Zhao at Gu Yan’s door. Zhao is reminding her of wedding invitation and how Mei will be bridesmaid. She is snarky with commenting on stealing staff and talent and asks if she will be there. Lin ignores the snark, affirms her attendance and then point blank asks if SanSan is Gu Yan. Here I was a bit surprised that Zhao denied it and full out lied. I figured that would give her something else to gloat about, but maybe this was just to keep things calm about contracts etc . He Han is settling up with the hotel and getting his things packed pitched or donated. He is very nice with the staff and gives them things they will truly like or appreciate. Lin’s company is dealing with a contract from a game creator. They are reopening a failed contract and being manipulative in the content they want the editing department to review to comply with their game process. Lin could have picked GuYan and friends’ brains about gaming and he would have been much better at how storyline impacted game experience to have an excellent short cut to the crap the company was trying to pull about adjusting characters. But Lin continues to make the same mistake and micro manages everything. She is supposed to meet He Han before he checks out after her meeting. But because she had to accommodate a possible client she stays tunnel visioned until almost midnight. They of course have the epic just missed scene to try to make it feel poignant. At this point, it is overly redundant and goes right back to the beginning. Lin was focused on her pillow and toothbrush more than asking HeHan’s opinion. He was definitely the immature man child, but she continues repeating with GuYan and her staff. Everything has to go according to the world of Lin and this is where she annoys me more than He Han. She stays a step behind because she is more concerned of having a backup plan than paying attention to anybody’s actual needs. Even her own. She is selfish with controlling, not with herself. This is why they all tune her out when she starts yapping at top volume and speed. The words and tone stay all too consistent. It’s not that she’s not an excellent mentor, it’s that she doesn’t let herself or anybody else have a life out of the work zone. This is why she gets left when better options become available, He Han looks to have moved in same area as Gu Yan and Zhao. That will be an interesting collision if they would all meet. I have to give He Han credit for being content in his surroundings whether grand or plain. He likes what he likes without apology. The scene with the boy was very sweet and unexpected. He was so gentle and presenting himself as the king of stories was quite apt. I hope we see more of this. They are trashing Mei’s character and her dragged out Bei relationship is just sad. Is she now supposed to be the great savior of the man she chose to have an affair with? Who is telling her the truth— bf or Bei? The bf is definitely working with the Mrs. but she has the right of it. She is on the right side for protecting her family and assets. They are making Bei look sad and a shadow of himself, but it doesn’t move me. I also have no sympathy left for Mei since she opts to keep contact while chiding him for reaching out. She went from the most interesting character to the one I least want to know about. She has almost reached the same level as Cai for being annoying.😝 Mr Kun is an ass from the second he opens his mouth. He is a loud blowhard that could have been shut up if they had cliff notes from GuYan and friends about game info. She runs off and makes her overworked staff listen to his top volume know it all stance. She runs to He Han and pretty much begs him to come back. Her comments about GuYan’s preference for Phantom Knight story showed how little regard she had for his interests. She knows he is SanSan but doesn’t have evidence for contract breach. Once she clears the air about that she starts yapping at him in crescendoing dialogue that he calmly rejects. Everybody thinks HeHan is the one needing changing and I don’t disagree. But I think Lin has as much if not more need to change than he does. She seems so much more organized and capable but she is a workplace bully and sees no need to change her own issues. Even her ex lover HeHan has had enough. As much as he cares about her, he can’t work for her. She is so obtuse to her own fault with this that she did not see it coming. It’s not that she isn’t correct in her rants, she just simply does not offer better solutions worth putting up with them. She is so convinced that she is better for him that it never crosses her mind that maybe she really isn’t. They are simply better for her situation with no actual betterment to theirs other than cash. Both of her prime writers feel that way and she is to blame. It then cuts to Ms Zhao bringing her parents in to what will be a farce of a wedding. They even have to show Ling with his hottie spending the night in the honeymoon suite. His pose over girl was wasted when Mei’s call distracted Zhao from coming in room. Lin called HeHan about Phantom Knight book and learns she actually has the finished rendition in the boxes he gave her. She shows these to GuYan as leverage. He believes her to be the author but that is still unclear. He Han and Lin were joined at the hip in their early projects so somewhere between these two and Ma one or more of them the writer. She leaves him to digest this news while she makes her way to the wedding. Now we will get to see if Ling can show up without lipstick on his collar or even at all. I think she sent Mei on a watch chase so that she could hide the suite from her. Ling spent a long time frozen in that position just to appall her into backing down from the wedding. Not only did she not back down, she invited hottie to attend. Zhao successfully flipped the table on him to make him more aghast at her response than his actions. This actress did a phenomenal job relaying all those emotions in a time sequenced manner so that her façade was kept to observers and her pain and heartbreak kept to herself. She remains my favorite gray person. For all of her trophy room antics, she is the one that sees people for who they really are. It’s not that she doesn’t take advantage, she just includes taking care of their needs. Lin could learn from her.

This is an absolutely heartbreaking episode! Do not watch without a box of tissues handy. The investigation in both timelines continues towards a climax. Interestingly, both Ran and He get stuck in the same spot after some clues seem to lead nowhere else. In a bittersweet scene, we see Ran looking up at the building in 2003, and He Yuan Hang looking down from the building in 2015, both seeking each other's assistance in how to continue. He Yuan Hang gets a clue from a memory, prompting him to continue investigating. Ran's investigation leads to a tragic outcome that leaves everyone reeling with a hole in their lives. Towards the end of the episode, He Yuan Hang is summoned to the former garage, where Qian Da Jun inadvertently unearths the hands he hid in 2002, prompting He Yuan Hang to make a dangerous decision. Pan Yue Ming and Dylan Wang once again delivered a heartbreaking performance.I also want to note that Ran's police photo is just endearingly cute, which breaks my heart a bit that someone like him had his life taken so young.

the kiss was almost smoking hot, but Xiao Chen turned into a bleedin puffer fish LOL - like why puffy out ur cheeks like that, Lu Feng was kissing him not blowing air into him or this how they kiss in China?!? anyway until that moment, that kinda burst the bubble that was building throughout this ep - i was really enjoying myself. at 1st i wasn't sure either actor was to my liking (visually) but it didn't take long for both to grow on me. Xiao Chen is genuinely adorable & at the start i got Secret Lover vibes (the Taiwanese BL) as i am sure it wasn't a coincidence, that the mains kept crossing paths coincidentally, don't think it was fate - unless fate is connected to Lu Feng in someway, shape or form. am 99% sure he found a way to always be close to Yi Chen. ***also given some comments i read, was worried this was toxic sh*t like TharnType where the dominant one forces himself on the passive one & even though what we see is grape - it somehow translates into affection that grows in the abused one & presto we got a budding romance - not the case as it's clear Xiao Chen has feelings for Lu Feng. so i can't wait to see how their relationship develops (even though given the start, guess they already facing a hurdle) time will tell - ****************************also given the starting credits, i saw there is a 2nd couple & ironically it will be Xiao Chen's younger sibling & who?!? bottom line, i am so here for this

A Splendid Match Episode 3

First ImpressionEpisode 3 slowed down slightly compared to the previous episodes, but it did a really good job building the political tensions and showing just how intelligent and observant the female lead actually is.Episode ThoughtsThis episode opens with the female lead finally confronting part of the trauma she experienced nine years ago when she was violently rejected from the mansion. And honestly? Watching her finally turn the tables on the concubine’s nanny was deeply satisfying. The female lead cleverly forces the concubine to recreate the medicine she previously claimed to have brewed — the same medicine that caused trouble for the female lead’s mother years earlier. Naturally, the truth slowly starts unraveling. What becomes clear is that the concubine herself may not actually be malicious, but heavily manipulated by the nanny, who believes underhanded schemes are necessary for a concubine and her daughter to survive within the household hierarchy. The father being forced to backpedal once the mother discovers the truth about what happened nine years ago was honestly deserved 😭 especially because the mother genuinely had no idea her daughter had returned to the manor only to be choked and thrown out.And honestly? The female lead’s emotional distance toward her mother feels completely understandable. There’s too much pain there to simply pretend everything is fine. The episode then shifts heavily into political territory. There are multiple factions moving behind the scenes, nobles plotting against each other, and the male lead continuing his dangerous investigation into corruption and treason. One particularly sad moment involves someone the male lead once respected and brought into official service now facing execution for treason. It really reinforces how ruthless the male lead’s position has become and how dangerous the political climate is.The male lead clearly understands that sentimentality cannot survive in court politics.Meanwhile, the female lead is beginning to connect pieces together herself. After hearing that her grandmother may be in danger because of her involvement with the male lead, she actively seeks him out for answers. And honestly? Their interactions continue to have this really subtle tension where it feels like both of them are constantly testing each other while pretending not to.The crown prince also continues to feel suspiciously interested in her 👀 whether it’s admiration, curiosity, or the beginnings of a crush, he definitely enjoys provoking her reactions. The female lead once again completely outplays her father during the social gathering. He’s desperately trying to create the image of a loving father because he knows people finding out he abandoned his daughter would damage his reputation. But she verbally dismantles him yet again 😭What I really loved is that her intelligence genuinely changes the course of events. She manages to convince him to leave the gathering early, unknowingly saving him from becoming entangled in the political arrest the male lead was preparing to carry out.By the end of the episode, the female lead is no longer simply reacting to events around her — she’s actively piecing together the larger political situation herself. The letter she writes to her grandmother knowing the male lead may intercept it was SUCH a smart move. It was basically her subtle way of saying:“I understand more than you think… and I’ll protect my grandmother however I can.”Character NotesFemale Lead: Easily the strongest part of the drama. Every episode proves how observant, emotionally intelligent, and strategic she is.Male Lead: The political burden on him is becoming more obvious. He’s ruthless when necessary, but there’s clearly conflict beneath the surface.Crown Prince: Absolute menace 😭 but also increasingly entertaining whenever he appears.Father: Still terrible. Still deserves every verbal humiliation he receives.Concubine: More morally grey than outright evil. The manipulation from the nanny seems to play a huge role.Final ThoughtsThis episode was definitely heavier on political setup than romance or action, but it still kept me engaged because the female lead continues to be such a compelling character. She’s smart enough to survive this dangerous environment, but emotionally vulnerable enough that you still feel for her. Also… someone please remove her father from this drama immediately 😭Favourite MomentThe female lead forcing the truth about the medicine and the past incident into the open.Trope Check* Smart female lead 🏮* Political intrigue* Court scheming* Family trauma* Corrupt nobles* Ruthless male lead* Slow burn tension* Manipulative household politics* Hidden loyalties* “My father is the worst” energy 😭

The Water closes its finale with heartfelt moments, chaotic wedding energy, and the kind of #Englot chemistry that kept us emotionally invested from start to finish. But rushed pacing, uneven emotional payoff, and intimacy scenes that struggled with immersion ultimately left us more overwhelmed than fulfilled. Our full review breaks down what worked, what missed, and why this Thai GL finale still remains one of the genre’s most ambitious productions. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4tsEftv

I think this drama is more of a call back to the classic 2000s/2010s era of romcom kdramas, so if you enjoyed those shows back then, then you'd probably enjoy this one. I like how the story and characters stand strong despite the lack of the glossy budget and high-profile names. It may not be as beautifully shot as the currently airing Perfect Crown, but it's entertaining and straightforward. The stakes are established from the start and the characters are interesting by themselves and when they're put together.I'm curious as to how far they'll lean into the fantasy element of the show, like the whole past lives bit for Se-gye and possibly Mun-do? But it is refreshing to have a time-displaced character who isn't trying to return to her original timeline, unlike the other more recent time travel shows like Yoona's Bon Appetit. Seo-ri/Dan-shim takes her circumstances head-on in her new life, and I feel like the audience can relate to her struggles in a capitalist society and also feel charmed by her awe at how easy modern life can be. It doesn't feel like the show is pushing an agenda down your throat about the ~charms of the modern age~ and instead lets us look at the world through Seo-ri's eyes.

Good ep. The King broke my heart and I'm glad his mother finally acted like a mother instead of his handler. The old let's protect each other by not saying anything to each other....The Prime Minister sold!! I never liked him to begin with. Now he was to punish Yi An b/c Hui Ju actually likes hum. Please can we not have these crazy men all around...

It was quite a joy to watch how our King and Queen, step by step, handled all the problems they faced during the Dano celebration. But of course, all the plots behind the scenes gave us such a devastating cliffhanger. 😨😯😤I really cannot understand why Byeong-In listens to his adoptive father so blindly; he has such potential to be a righteous, just, and good guy. My blood is boiling over the situation the Kims put our King in, and I seek justice for him in the next episode, please! 😠🤞🙏

sh*t i am freakin sad this ended - yeah perfect ending to a really sweet, heartwarming BL. the fact that at the start we got He Jin spazzing out, gave me hope that whatever would come wouldn't be devastating - for sure the rest of the ep wouldn't be everyone mourning the loss... which could happen, if anyone remembers HIStory3: Make Our Days Count, now that last ep blindsided everyone & also broke out collective hearts. so it was touch & go, even though i didn't get a vibe we gonna lose anyone - not in this ep - thankfully i wasn't wrong & Chen Ke didn't just survive, he thrived. given the fact that both mains confessed in words not just actions & to see them actually living their "happily ever after" ugh - warms the heart & makes it melt... *********************************************************************************************************************************this was so freakin wholesome & endearing, even Ouyang Han redeemed himself by being a true friend & making it clear to Chen Ke was was & how it is with Yu Lei. the fact he also got someone that cares for him who can complain - this was too short & ended too soon. loved this really did & that's why i am (ironically sad). ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: wish we knew what happened to the nut case He Jin - dude totally lost it or was that the alcohol talking?!? maybe there is info about that in the novel - might check it out when i got time. heck might just to get more of the mains couples.

First uncool monster design. Other that new plottwists and mysteries got added probably because the ones the series started with are getting more and more answered but since it builds upon the mystery aspect it needs more to speak to the audience especially as it's not super action-oriented.

Well, I knew it. They will come up with the bang!I knew after the weakest episode of the series last night, the series will go uphill from episode 10, and well I was not disappointed. What a fantastic episode. So many great moments. Excited for Finale Next week. But I do hope , they address both the car accidents and don't leave it to audience imagination. Also, Prime Minister sudden motivation change doesn't seems justified, but we never know whether he might be double or perhaps triple agent. So I won't judge his actions for now, until Finale.Great Episode overall.

Heartbreaking episode. Ryo's tragedy is really good build up and executed how he loses people and his safety net I guess this will play into his more animalistic nature. I also like how all 3 transformations are distinct from anotherBut still the series does a good job in giving you just enough information to keep you interested
